Chapter 9: Are they not in love with each other?
Tiki’s POV
The smile on my lace never leaves for once. I tumed to ea and flashed her a smile
“Let’s lease, please,” I said. My voice was low, and it could barely be heard. I took a few steps closer to Ava and pulled her hand, taking her along with me. I didn’t even know the way back to the kitchen, but Ava was here to guide ine.
“You look so beautiful in the maid dress. It suits you perfectly.” Ava mambled with a big smile on her face. Look down at my body. The girl was not lying, though. The dress suited me perfectly. How Iconic. A mald’s dress suits me perfectly. What antronic world,
“Thank you,” I replied to Awa with a smile, but this place is so beautiful. I can’t get enough of looking around,” I mumbled under my breath, my eyes scanning the place all over again.
A soft chuckle escaped Ava’s lips, and the had an amusing smile dancing on her lips, “Yeah. You can say that. This place is wonderful. That’s the Alpha King’s palace for you. Everything must be different from other packs,” She explained calmly.
“ph.” I muttered in realization. She is right. Everything must be different, just like she said.
“So that reminds me. How did you escape death? You are now his presonal maid. This is what almost all the girls here dream of. They all wanted to enter the Alpha’s room. Maybe they can get the chance to seduce him and catch his attention. Even Emma falled to caught his attention.”
“What?” I exclaimed in shock, “Luna? He is already married?” Hell a wave of sadness swelling in my heart as the thought of him kissing another gial crossed my mind. I don’t know why I amreacting this way, though I don’t really know the reason win:
“Yes, he has a partner. But he has never allowed her to enter his room as well. I don’t know if he always went to her room to mate. I don’t know much about that information. But the only thing I know is that he never allowed her into his room” she said calmly.
Adeep from settled on my face. However, I am not happy that the Alpha had Luna. I don’t love at first sight, but this man’s beauty is hard to resist. I can’t even resistit, no matter what I’m obsessed with him. Though it’s not even up to twenty–four hours since I have known him, I found myself thinking of him every moment. I need to stop this no matter what. We can never be together. I am just a lowly maid, and be has a partner.
“But how come he never allowed her in his room? Are they not in love with each other?” couldn’t help but ask
“Well the Alpha is a cold and he barely smiles. I would say he never smiles bere never see him do so. He is always cold to everyone. I can’t blame the hike if he’s cold to Luna as well. That’s his personality,” Avaresponded.
I nodded in realization. But he should love his Luna since she is his mate. I decided not to talk about it any further. Talking about it is already making me sad.
“How long have you been working here?? Tasked with a raised brow, and a smiled,
“If I remembered.correctly. It has been five years already.”
“What!” exclaimed, shock written all over my face. “Five years? And you haven’t found your mate?”
A soft giggle escaped the girl’s Lips. “I am just eighteen. I clocked eighteen months ago, and yes, Thave not found my mate.” She replied with a gentle smile on her face. “But I hope I find him soon. It would have been a be if I had said I’m not tired of being a maid. There is nothing fun in it, and you will be punished it you dare to beg Miss Mary” She said, and a sigh escaped her lips
Tielt pity for the girl, though I was worlding as a maid for the years.
“should we run away?” I almost blurted out, but I was too busy thinking about it to refrain from saying so. What is wrong with me?
I turned to her and flashed her a reassuring smile, “Everything will soon end. Your prince charming will soon find you and take you out of this suffering,” I said with a big smile on my face, and the returned the smile.
“It’s surprising how you did not remember aclue of where you came from. And your skin is so fresh and so white. I can tell you can’t relate to what suffering is.”
“You can’t tell, though. I may not be loved where I am from “A sad smule formed on my lipsast said this. A hint of sadness crossed my eyes, but it was quick to disappear in the next moment. Fortunately, Ava did not notice this-

“Yeah. Though she thought was a spy and ordered the guards to kill me, an Angel helped my life” A smile formed on my lips as remembered the girl’s beautiful
“Angel? Which Angel?” Ava asked. Confusion was written all over her face as she talked
“Though I don’t know her name, I heard her call the Alpha,” Brother,” I said. My smile never withered.
“Haa.” Ava gasped in shock. “That’s lady Hazel. Wow, Luck is really following you around. She’s a little better thanther brother. And that is, she doesn’t kill people. But she is always cold and doesn’t give a damn about anybody. But she helped you? Wow. That’s incredible. She exclaims in shock
The comer of my lips curved upward slightly. I should thank the lady when i saw her again. Is luck really following me around? I can’t tell. I remembered what Ava said earlier about all the ladies here ning on the Alpha
“Are you also crashing on him? Trouldn’t help but ask. Laid it teasingly, though.
“What the heck?” she exclaimed, and I laughed. “Why will be crushing on that loe King? She lowered her voice at the last statement, afraid that someone would heather, which made me laugh even more.
“Though he has a breathtaking face, I don’t think I want to end up with a man like him. He is too cold and merciless. I doubt he knows what love is. And lastly, be won’t even give me a glamor. La not that beautiful, But look at you. No one will see you without falling for you,” she said, and I laughed.
