Chapter 16: I guessed the little Omega is now your weakness
Lucian’s POV
I watched as the guards hit the glid with the whip. I felt a surge of uneasiness surging through my heart. I wouldn’t say I like how the girl was beaten. I almost told them to stop hitting her, but I suppressed the urge to say so. I wouldn’t say I like it when people disobey me, and this girl dared to dely my order–an ordinary

“Brother, please tell them to stop.” Theard Lyra’s voice beside me, and I directed my leygate to her. She trembled under my gaze, and tears welled up in her eyes. “Why are you acting so overprotective of her? Have you brand of her before?” I couldn’t help but ask I don’t know why Lyra has been treating the girl this way since morning. Lyra is not the type who intervenes in matters that do not concember. “I am not acting overprotective of her. She did nothing wrong. I witnessed what happened earlier. Your so–called wife wanted to kill her. For what reason?” She raised her voice at the last statement. She lowers her gaze instantly. She realizes what she has done.
“I’m sorry for raising my voice.” She quickly apologized, and I replied with a nod
I glanced at the girl and watched how the guards continued to whip her. The girl only balled her hand into a list and would not cry, no matter what I wondered how an Omega could be this strong. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead, and her back was drenched in blood. Her dress was tom because of the blade, and it looked like a rag on her. I could not watch any further.
“Stop,” I said, and the guards stopped immediately. “You can take her away,” I said, and Lyra quickly rushed to get the side as well as the maid that followed them earlier. They both helped the girl out. Blood was dripping from her back, and it landed right on the floor. She could not walk properly. Her feet were barely touching the ground since Lyra and the maid were helping her… I watched till they disappeared from the room. The only people in the area were me, Emily Mis, Mary, Evan, my best friend, and the Gamma of this pack And my stepbrother, Damien, who was my worst enemy.
I moved my gaze to Emily. “I heard you wanted to kill my maid. Is that true?” I asked, furrowing my brow. My voice was cold, and it was dripping with venom. I felt anger boiling up in my stomach, and Thad the urge to kill I was mad at myself for punishing the girl. I could not explain the reason why, though, but I’m just angry,
“Alpha Lucian, it’s not true. I only wanted to teach her a lesson because she did not know her place. She is insulting,” she replied. Anger could be seen written all over her face as she spoke.
“Hmph.” A soft chuckle suddenly forced itself out of my throat. The smirk on my face vanished instantly as if it were just an illusion. “You wanted to teach her lesson because she did not know her place?” I asked thetorically, and my chuckle even grew louder. Within a short period, I was already before her. I grabbed her neck immediately and lifted her off the ground. She coughed and struggled to break tree from me.
“You wanted to teach her a lesson, and that is by killing her? 1 half yelled, but she was unable to reply to me. “You should be grateful that you did not kill her. Your beads would have been on the ground by now. Lay your filthy hand on her again and I promise to give you a taste of hell.” I yelled and threw her to the wall angrily.
“Easy Lucian. You will kill her” Evan interfered and tried to calm me down. You closed my eyes and sucked in a deep breath. It has been so long since I got angry. Me getting angry will ruin a lot of things.
“Get the hell out of this place.” I yelled at her, and she quickly rose to her feet. She and the woman hurriedly walked out of the throne hall. I turned around and saw Damien stating at me.
“You are acting this way because of an Omega What will the elders do when they hear you punished Luna because of an Omega.” Damien said, and my gaze darkened instantly. I know he intentionally said that to piss me off. We have never been on a good side. He is a year older than me, but he is just the son of the Mistress.
“What did you just say?” I growled. My eyes change their color immediately. I tried my best to hide the fury in it. I clenched my fist tightly, and I was very eager to hear him up. If not for the elders. I would have killed him a long time ago.
“You heard me right. I guessed the little Omega is now your weakness. I wondered how it would feel to have that beauty on my bed.” He said with a mocking sinile on his face.
