Alpha Mate Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Raya’s Pov

I sat on the edge of my bed, staring blankly at the wall opposite me. It’s been hours since I’ve been cooped up in this room, waiting for something to happen. Anything. But nothing has happened yes. And 1 was gradually growing restless

I wanted to be out there, doing something rather than being caged like a bird. But instead, I was stuck in this room, waiting for orders from Alpha Asher. I could see that silhouette of the guards who were standing outside my door like statues

1 let out a deep sigh and stood up, pacing back and forth in front of the windows. Outside, I can see two guards patrolling the area, their eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of trouble. But everything is quiet. Too quiet and too boring

I lean against the window frame, gazing out into the distance, hoping to catch a glimpse of something anything that would break the monotony of my confinement. But there’s nothing there, Just an endless expanse of darkness and the glimmer of light that was coming from the soiree which I believed hadn’t ended yet. I wondered what that gathering was about and why Asher had forbade me to enter it again. He seemed so gassed up. like I had committed an atrocity, but the least explanation I could offer was that he had done that because of the dangers. But from the foregoing, it was clear that he never cared, so 1 expelled the thought, trying to focus on the present

Frustration started to build within me, and I elenched my fists, wishing that I could break free from this suffocating silence that offered nothing but my thoughts and the distant murmur of the guardsvoices outside. It was simply maddening, exacting and energydraining

1 turned away from the window and paced back and forth across the room, my mind racing with thoughts of escape. But I know that it’s impossible. Alpha Asher is too smart to let me out of his sight, especially now that they’re facing such a grave threat from the werewolves

I let out a frustrated groan and flop down onto the bed, burying my face in the pillows. This is torture. I need to get out of here, to do something, anything. But for now, I’m stuck in this room, with nothing but my restlessness and my thoughts

That was the moment I heard a scuffle outside. The window was a but open so I could hear snippets of sounds downstairs

I walked back to the window side briskly and stared down at the four men gathered down there. Two men had joined the guards, but they seemed to be coming from the ball. They were in black, their gestures very official as they spoke with Asher’s guards

I watched them for a short while, and facepalmed, already bored of what they could be saying. Suddenly the shatter between them suddenly began to die down, causing another silence to resurface. I opened my eyes, staring down at them. One of Asher’s guards was moving back, his demeanor wasn’t quite good

My brows came together inquisitively as I took in what was going on

What are you doing here? One of the guards said, exchanging a quick but meaningful glance with the other guy

Came to take what is ours. I’d rather you move out of the way so all this can end peacefully without anybody having to lose their lives”

Perhaps in looks like one of us will die.” One of Asher’s guards returned

You’re making a grave mistake young man. Move out of the f*cking”

Before he was through with his speech, one of Asher’s guards suddenly began to shift in the blink of an eye. The other shifted soon after while I was distracted, looking at the reaction of the other men. Their imposing frames were no longer there, instead it was replaced by the frames of two monstrous wolves, standing side by side

However the other two men seemed not to mind at all. They seemed to be pleased by what was going on instead. I quickly shut the pane, my heart already beating fast from what I was seeing. The other men quickly shifted as well, facing off the guards

The two strangers were large and muscular, with thick fur and sharp teeth, They were the dominant pair, and they had been challenged by Asher’s guards who were obviously the smaller wolves

They were fast and agile, but they lacked the strength and size of the larger wolves. They circled their opponents, looking for an opening, but the big wolves stood their ground, their eyes fixed on their prey

I could hear the low, demonic growl building up as they side up the other, like boxers in a ring

Suddenly, one of the smaller wolves lunged at them, trying to take him down. But he was too quick for him, and he dodged his attack, grabbing him by the neck and shaking him violently. The smaller wolf let out a yelp of pain, but he didn’t give up. He tried to bite him, but his jaws met only air as he twisted his body and threw him to the ground

The other smaller wolf rushed to his aid. He launched himself at the big guy, but the big wolf was ready for him. He caught the smaller wolf in mid- air and slammed him into a tree, causing him to lose his grip

Chapter 27

My eyes widened constantly from what was happening right in front of me. It was like one of those things you saw in a fairytale

The smaller wolves regrouped, and they seemed to be coming up with a new plan. They circled the larger wolves again, looking for an opening Bur the big wolves stood their ground. their eyes never leaving their opponents

Suddenly, one of the men charged at one of the Asher’s guards, his jaws wide open. But he was too fast for her, and he darted to the side, dodging her attack. He turned and tried to bite her, but she was ready for him. He grabbed him by the throat and shook him violently again, causing him to love his balance and following him up with a walk of jest, as if saying that he knew what Asher’s guard was up to. I wondered if this was some sort of play or something. I was scared but at the same time I was entranced by the fight

The brutal fight continued with the second guard charging at the other wolf, trying to knock him off balance. But he was ton strong for him, and he pushed him away with ease. The guard landed hard on the ground, but he didn’t give up. He jumped up and tried to bite and tear, but she was too quick for him. She grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the ground, knocking the wind out of him

The two smaller wolves were now lying on the ground, injured and exhausted. The larger wolves stood over them, their eyes fixed on their prey. They knew they had won the fight, and they weren’t going to let the smaller wolves get away

The biggest among them stepped forward, his jaws open wide, ready to deliver the final blow. But suddenly, he froze. He looked around, sensing something in the air. The male wolf looked at her, confused

But then something strange happened. The two wolves suddenly began to shift, their bodies twisting and contorting until they stood before me as two naked men

1 gasped in shock, my hand flying to my mouth as I stared in disbelief. I had heard stories of werewolves, but I had never actually seen one before It was like something out of a fairy tale, and yet it was happening right before my eyes

The two men were tall and muscular, with long hair and piercing eyes. They looked almost identical, except for a small scar above the eye of the male. They both turned to face me, their eyes locking onto mine. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized they could see me through the

window

For a moment, there was silence. The only sound was the pounding of my heart as I stood frozen, unsure of what to do. The two men seemed to be sizing me up, as if trying to decide whether I posed a threat

Then suddenly, they moved. It was like nothing I had ever seen before. They were so fast that they blurred, their bodies shifting and twisting as they moved. They were across the yard and at the foot of my window in an instant, their faces pressed against the glass

I stumbled backwards, my heart pounding in my chest as I tried to make sense of what I was seeing. The two men were now staring at me through. the window, their eyes burning into mine. They seemed almost feral, their bodies tense and ready for action

I couldn’t repress a scream I walked back, my senses numbed by fear

I realized that I was in danger. These men were not ordinary shifters. They had a lot more in store aside the fact that they could shift to wolves

The first man was tall and imposing, his broad shoulders filling the room with an air of menace. He had a chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes that seemed to stare straight through you, as if he could read your every thought

His dark hair was slicked back in a neat, professional style, and he wore a crisp black suit that accentuated his powerful frame. As he moved, there was a sense of controlled aggression, like a predator stalking its prey

The second man was shorter, but no less intimidating. His wiry frame was coiled with a nervous energy, and his dark eyes darted around the room with a restless intensity. His face was angular and sharp, with a thinlipped mouth that was perpetually twisted in a snarl. He were a leather jacket and jeans, giving him a more roughedged appearance than the first man. There was a sense of danger emanating from him, like a caged animal waiting to pounce

Without a second thought, I ran to the door and began pounding on it, calling for the guards to come and help. But they didn’t seem to hear me. My heart sank as I realized that I was trapped in my room, unable to do anything to help

Help! Help!!I yelled hanging on the door. The only response I got was silence and the terrifying thought that the men could somehow break the brick and get into my room. With the insane amount of strength they possessed, I could safely say that they could do that

But I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. I continued to bang on the door, my voice growing hoarse as I screamed for help. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the door opened, and two guards stepped inside. They looked at me with a mix of annoyance and amusement, as if they didn’t believe that anything was wrong-

What’s going on one of them asked, a smirk on his face

Something terrible is happening downstairs,” I replied, my voice trembling with fear. Two of Asher’s guards are getting killed by some wolves. You have to do something?”

The guards exchanged a look, then shook their heads. Alpha Asher made it clear that you were to stay in your room,” one of them said. We can’t let
