Chapter 35
ASHER’S POV
or plans for securing the Pack and finding the rogue’s entry point. As My generals nodded in agreement, and we spend the next hour discussing our plans. we wrap up the meeting. I can feel the tension in the air casing slightly, knowing that we have a plan in place to protect our people.
As we leave the meeting room, I can see the guards rushing around, preparing to carry out our orders. I feel a sense of pride knowing that we have such loyal and dedicated warriors protecting our Pack but defending the Pack was the main priority at this point. Nothing else whatsoever mattered
to me more than that.
But at the same time. I can’t help but feel a sense of unease. The rogues are out there somewhere, waiting for their next move. And I know that we can’t let our guard down for even a moment.
As I left the meeting room, my mind was still reeling from the intense arguments that had taken place. I had to admit, my generals were a group of intelligent and fiercely independent thinkers, each with their own unique areas of expertise. It was no surprise that they would clash at times, especially in situations as high–stakes as this one..
As I walked down the hallway, I approached the room where Raya was being held. My guards were standing outside, as they should be, and I approached them with a nod. “Anything to report?” Tasked, though I could already tell from their stoic expressions that there was nothing to worry
about
“She protested when we brought her back here, Alpha,” one of them said, looking slightly uncomfortable. “But we made sure she stayed put”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at their description. Raya was a force to be reckoned with, and the thought of her putting up a fight was both amusing and admirable. “Good work.” I said, patting the guard on the shoulder before entering the room.
As I stood there in the dimly lit room, my eyes couldn’t help but be drawn to Raya’s sleeping form. She looked so peaceful and innocent, with her chest rising and falling in a rhythmic pattern. Her dark hair was splayed out on the pillow, framing her face like a hals, and her full lips were slightly parted as she breathed.
I couldn’t deny the fact that she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Even in her sleep, she radiated a natural beauty that was simply mesmerizing. I felt a strange tug in my chest, as if something inside me was trying to pull me closer to her. Was it possible that she was my mate? The thought both excited and terrified me.
I walked closer to her, my eyes never leaving her face. I couldn’t resist the urge to reach out and brush a strand of hair away from her forehead. As my fingers touched her skin. I felt a jolt of electricity that sent shivers down my spine. It was a sensation that was both unfamiliar and exhilarating.
I knew I shouldn’t be feeling this way. It was too soon to tell if she was my mate or not. But the more I looked at her, the more convinced I became that she was meant to be mine. I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. I had to be careful not to get ahead of myself
I turned to leave the room, but before I could take a step, Raya stirred in her sleep. She let out a soft moan, and her eyelids fluttered open.
As the night passed, I remained outside the room where Raya was sleeping, keeping watch with my guards. Despite the tension and fear that had gripped me earlier, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief that nothing had happened. The thought of an attack by the rogues had kept me on edge throughout the night, but now as the morning approached, I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders.
As I looked around, I noticed the sky slowly turning from dark to light, and the stars fading into the background as the sun began to rise. The chirping of the birds slowly became louder, and I felt a sense of calm wash over me. The peace that came with the dawn was a welcome change from the chaos of the previous night.
As I stepped out of my room. I saw Caden pacing up and down the hallway. He turned and saw me, instantly snapping to attention.
“Good morning,” he greeted me.
“Good morning, Caden,” I replied, nodding to him. “Have you settled everything?”
“Yes, sir,” he said with a nod. “The warriors are already on their way back to their homes. We have also ensured that every
is guarded and well-
“Good,” I said, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. “But don’t let your guard down just yet. We cannot afford to be complacent. Anything can still happen”
“I understand, sir, Caden replied, his expression serious. “We will remain vigilant.”
As I walked towards my room, I could feel the weight of the past night’s events on my shoulders. I had never felt this exhausted in a long while. My mind was buzzing with thoughts about the possible motives of the rogues who attacked my pack. Why would they do such a thing? What did they hope to achieve by attacking us!

Chapter 35
As I reached my room. I pushed the door open and walked in, feeling the familiar warmth and comfort of my space, I glanced around the room and took a deep breath, trying to relax my mind and body. Then I made a mental note to visit the dungeon and End out what we could team from the rogues while thinking about how I would punish them. I imagined the different tortures I would make them go through even if I succeeded in getting the truth from them.
The exhaustion crept upon me like a thick, heavy blanket, weighing down on every muscle in my body. Each step I took felt like I was dragging lea weights on my feet, and my eyelids were heavy, threatening to close shut at any moment. The adrenaline rush from the previous night’s events ha long worn off, leaving me feeling drained and depleted.
My mind was racing with thoughts and questions about the attack. Who were those rogues, and why did they target my pack? The implications of their attack were far reaching, and I knew I had to find answers and take action to prevent any future threats.
With each step. I felt like I was carrying the weight of the pack on my shoulders, and the responsibility of keeping them safe weighed heavily on me. My thoughts were consumed with plans and strategies, and I knew I wouldn’t rest until I had found a solution.
As I entered my room, the exhaustion hit me full force, and I stumbled towards my bed, collapsing onto it with a heavy sigh. The soft mattress and pillows provided a comforting embrace, and I closed my eyes, trying to let go of the tension that had built up within me.
Despite my weariness, my mind continued to race, and I wondered how I was going to get everything done later in the day.
I undressed quickly, peeling off the layers of clothing that have become drenched in sweat. The dampness clings to my skin like a second layer and
I can feel my muscles protesting against the movement. I let out a deep sigh of relief as I finally removed the last of my clothing.
I stood in front of the mirror, taking a moment to observe myself. My muscles were tense, and my eyes were heavy with exhaustion. The bags under my eyes were more prominent than ever, and I looked older than my years.
I reached for the fresh set of clothes, feeling the fabric between my fingers. It was soft and clean, a luxury I’ve come to appreciate. I pulled on a new shirt and pants, savouring the feeling of the soft cotton against my skin.
As I finished dressing, I made a mental note to take a hot shower before bed. The thought of the hot water hitting my tired muscles was almost too much to bear. But for now, I needed to rest. I crawled into bed, feeling the weight of the day settling on me. My eyes close, and I am quickly consumed by sleep, the events of the night fading into the background.
