Chapter 4
Colton picked up his phone and first glanced at Julia to confirm that she was asleep before initiating the conversation.
His tone was ambiguous.
“But I just came back, baby. How about tomorrow?”
Carly kept chattering on the other end and even went so far as to call me directly.
“Colton, don’t you miss me? But I miss you, I just want to see you
“By the way, was the wedding dress I wore today beautiful?”
Colton didn’t even hesitate.
“Of course, it looked good.”
Carly continued to press on with her questioning
“Who is more beautiful, the older sister or me?
Colton paused for a second, glanced at Julia, and then spoke into the phone.
“No one was as beautiful as Carly,” these words, spoken from his mouth, pierced Julia’s heart like a needle.
He had also said that Julia was the most beautiful and kind woman he had ever seen
Just recently, Colton got down on one late in front of everyone and proposed.
Everyone cast splances, even Julia herself believed that she would be happy for the rest of her life.
She only found out now that Colton, from pursuing to proposing, was just trying to take julia out of the Nielsen family early.
Only in this way could Carly be at ease as Julia’s lady–in–waiting and continue to have control over her.
Carly seemed to have heard a satisfactory response, and her tone immediately softened.
“Then, are you coming to find me or not?

Carly spoke in a gentle tone, and Colto
‘s heart softened. “Your sister is asleep now, so you wait for me.”
He got up, picked up his clothes, and prepared to leave.
Before leaving, don’t forget to send a message to Julia to inform her.
“Honey, there’s something urgent at the company, I need to go back there first.
“Stay well–behaved at home, wait for me to come back, okay?”
Julia didn’t know how many nights Colton had deceived her.
Perhaps every evening when he said he had something to do, he was secretly going out on a date with Carly.

She watched Colton’s departing figure, unable to express her bitterness.

Julia paused for a moment, then slowly nodded.
Marry him? It was not possible.
Julia felt tired just by looking at the smile on Colton’s face.
He didn’t have to wait long before he received a call from the Nielsen family. “Today is the day we discuss the wedding arrangements between our two families, and you must be present.”
This is not a discussion, it is an announcement.
Even if Julia was unwilling, she had to finish this scene.
The location was set in a park, and the restaurant was Carly’s favorite style.
It was supposed to be Julia and Colton’s day, but Carly, wearing a red robe, sat in the seat of honor.
Colton’s parents were also particularly delighted with Carly, so naturally they wanted to sit wherever they pleased.
Compared to Julia, the adopted daughter, Colton’s parents preferred Carly as the person he would marry.
So, all along, they didn’t like Julia.
In the past, Julia loved Colton and was willing to endure and swallow her pride for him. She believed that one day, they would have a change of heart towards her.
But she doesn’t think so now, she doesn’t want to live such days anymore.
