Chapter 218
Sienna went frozen, her eyes wide with disbelief. Rosie, just as shocked, glanced at the stunned Sienna and asked Ellie, “Is this for real? Are you sure it’s not a mistake?”
“Absolutely,” Ellie confirmed with certainty. “He’s such a handsome guy, especially in a heroic rescue situation–it’s etched in my memory.”
Rosie stopped asking questions, and Sienna was now certain. After all, Josiah had indeed been at Fliraty during that incident. She remembered he had been injured at the time, but she hadn’t pressed for more details, as it hadn’t interested her back then.”
After saying goodbye to Ellie, Rosie and Sienna returned to the Lightning Dance. Rosie commented, “Mr. Flynn is quite odd–does he like to do good deeds without anyone knowing?”
“Who knows?” Sienna replied.
She and Josiah had known each other since childhood, but she couldn’t say she really understood him. She remembered Josiah as a shy and quiet child, probably because they hadn’t interacted much.
Later, after being adopted by the Flynn family, the grown–up Josiah had become pretty irritable.
Maybe people have many sides to their personalities. Josiah could heartlessly abandon her abroad for four years, yet out of a sense of duty, he would risk everything to save her.
Sienna wondered if he would believe her if she brought up the past with him and explain that she wasn’t involved in the incident with Yvette. In the afternoon, Sienna received a message from Josiah.
Josiah: [I’ll pick you up around six–thirty to have dinner with Grandma.]
Sienna: [Okay.]
Sienna had finished her work before five. She took the time to visit Sunshine Neighborhood.
She had to keep managing her relationship with Josiah while also finding time with Joyce. Luckily, Joyce was well–behaved and easy to take care of. When she got back to the Lightning Dance just in time, she waited an extra five minutes before Josiah arrived.
“Did you wait long?” Josiah asked as he took her hand. “I’m sorry to have kept you.”
“It’s fine.”
They got into the car. Sienna turned her head to look at him and said, “I remember you were quite shy as a child; your personality seems different
now.”
Josiah tightened his grip on the steering wheel, a barely noticeable flicker in his
“Really?” He smiled wryly. “I don’t remember much about my childhood.”
“Yes, you really were,” Sienna said.
eyes.
During her brief visits to the Flynn family with her grandma when she was younger, she remembered he was either reading a book or lost in thought, staying silent around her like an aloof little prince.
Josiah raised an eyebrow. “Did I really have such a phase?”
“Definitely.” Sienna sighed. “You’ve changed a lot since then.”
Josiah shrugged. “People change; they can’t stay the same.” He pointedly referenced her. “Haven’t you changed, too?”
This was true. Sienna knew she had also changed after going through so much. The Josiah in front of her seemed quite different from the man four
years ago.
“Josiah…” Sienna started.
“Hmm?” He glanced at her. “What do you want to say?”
Sienna found herself at a loss for words. She wasn’t really sure about his feelings. Plus, there were still unresolved issues with Howard and Yvette. She needed to be careful.

Chapter 218
That accident would not be easy to untangle. After four years, she didn’t really want to dive back into the complexities of the Flynn family.
Her thoughts tangled. “Drive carefully and keep your eyes on the road.”
9:35 PM
Tonight, the Flynn residence was more lively than usual. Yvette had been discharged from the hospital; her leg injury was healing well at home. She was wearing pants and avoiding strenuous movements, and the marks were nearly gone.
With Josiah bringing Sienna along, Miranda smiled. “It’s rare to have everyone together; it feels like a family reunion dinner.”
The dinner was pretty enjoyable. After the meal, Sienna and Josiah carried fruit into the parlor, only to find it already chaotic.
“Howard! You’d better explain yourself!” Yvette’s sharp voice filled the air, laced with anger.
Josiah frowned immediately. “What’s going on?”
Sienna looked at him and asked, “Have Yvette and Howard been arguing a lot lately?”
Josiah nodded, not hiding anything. “Since Howard woke up, they’ve been arguing often, but I don’t know why.”
They both entered the parlor.
Miranda, looking stressed, pressed Howard, “Howard, Yvette has questions for you; you should answer her.”
Howard glanced at his grandma and then at Yvette. “What do you want me to explain? I just bought a new property; what’s the problem with that?”
“No problem?” Yvette scoffed. “Then tell me why you bought a property in Lion’s Bay? It’s not a new development.”
Her suspicion seemed reasonable. Still, Howard calmly replied, “What do you think is the problem? Am I hiding someone in Lion’s Bay?”
Yvette hesitated, realizing she hadn’t uncovered anything of that sort.
Miranda interjected, “Yvette, you shouldn’t jump to conclusions every time something happens. That’s not how healthy relationships work.” Yvette struggled to voice her concern, but her instincts told her, ‘There’s something wrong; he must be hiding something!‘
Howard hadn’t expected Yvette to find out about the property in Lion’s Bay. Hervey was usually reliable, so it was clear that Yvette had gained significant influence over family matters within the Flynn family over the years.
Howard sighed. “Yvette, what would it take for you to trust me? When will these constant arguments every weekend?”
“Why do you ask me like this….?” Yvette exclaimed, shocked. She steadied herself and suddenly declared, “Marry me!”
The room fell silent. Everyone’s attention turned toward her. Yvette took a deep breath, her resolve strong. “Howard, do you dare? We should get married–right away!”
However, Howard didn’t respond. His brow was furrowed as he looked between Josiah and Sienna, staying stubbornly silent.
“Howard!” Yvette, agitated, couldn’t hold it in. “Why are you hesitating? Don’t you want to marry me? We should have done this a long time ago! Howard, I’ve waited four years for you!”
