*Alright, I’ll be there soon. After hanging up, Josiah hurried to Maplewood Hay. This wasn’t his first visit since it was where Hervey lived. When h rang the doorbell, Hervey opened the door.
Hervey stepped aside, inviting him in. Thank you” Josiah stepped inside.
Inside, Howard was sitting on the couch, waiting for him.
A smile appeared on Josiah’s face as he looked around, “What’s the secret business that you wanted to talk about!”
Howard’s face turned serious as he stood up and extended his arm. Josiah quickly grabbed a cane and handed it to him. “Here. Howard
“Thank you.” Howard look the cane and glanced at his brother. “Come with me”
“Oh. alright.” Josiah felt a sense of unease. He followed Howard upstairs to the second floor. Howard walked ahead in silence and stopped in front of a door.
“Howard!” Josiah asked, confused.
Howard said, “I want you to meet someone… Taking a deep breath, he grasped the doorknob and gently turned it. The door creaked Josiah pecked inside.
The simple room was a little messy but tidy enough, with things arranged around the edges and a carper in the center.

On the carpet sat a small boy, maybe three years old, totally focused on playing with LEGO blocks. Josiah was taken aback and shot a questioning
look at Howard
Before he could say anything. Howard quietly closed the door behind them, so the child wouldn’t be startled.
“Howard.” Josiah was at a loss for words, feeling a mix of surprise and confusion. He had so many questions but couldn’t find a place to start. He wondered, “Who is this kid? Where did he come from? Why is he hiding out at Hervey’s place With Howard heing so serious, could this kid be
Howard met Josiah’s shocked gaze, a small smile at the corners of his mouth. “As you suspect, he is mine”
Josiah’s eyes widened, disbelief flooding through him. Then it all clicked–ever since Howard woke up, he had asked Hervey to find someone. Now it made sense that the person he was looking for was this child, and possibly the child’s mother.
One couldn’t i
ignore a woman’s intuition. Recently, Yvette had been wondering if Howard had someone else, though she didn’t have any hard proof. After processing this shocking news, Josiah turned to his brother. “What is your plan, Howard?” He changed his question. “Will you tell Yvette!” Before Howard could answer, Josiah said seriously. “Howard, don’t forget your promises to Yvette! Without her, you wouldn’t be survived!” Howard frowned, showing line emotion. “Calm down; this child was unexpected. I never meant to betray Yvette or abandon her.” Josiah swallowed hard, trusting Howard. He motioned toward the room. “What’s going on, Howard”
“Come with me.” Howard gestured toward the study. “I will talk about this.”
“Alright”
To understand the current situation, one must go back to the car accident that involved Howard years ago. The crash had left him in a coma— clearly more than just bad luck.
Josiah and Miranda had suspected something was off and had quietly looked into it. But their search had turned up line useful information. Even the police had spent months investigating with no leads worth following.
Hearing Howard mention it, Josiah’s expression darkened. They still haven’t shown any remorser
Howard remained calm in his soothing voice. “Unfortunately for them, I didn’t die
Now that Howard was awake, any future threats against him would be met with resistance. Old issues needed to be dealt with.
That child was an unplanned baby. Josiah felt he shouldn’t blame Howard. However, he knew Yvette might not be as understanding

Since the child was Howard’s blood, he must not be left to wander. For now, it’s best to keep it a secret from Yvette.
Josiah expressed concern. “Howard, that child should grow up in the Flynn family. So what about the child’s mother?”
Howard said sharply. The child’s mother merely gave birth to him. There is nothing between us
Hearing this, Josiah let out a sigh of relief–that reassured him. “Howard, don’t worry too much. Give Yvette some time; I trust she will come to understand
After all, this was an unexpected situation. Howard’s feelings for Yvette hadn’t changed at all.
Howard nodded, worry showing on his brow. “Let’s hope so.”

In the afternoon, as Sienna left the hospital. Joyce was already feeling much better, which let her relax a bit. After returning to the Lightning Dance, she waited for Josiah to arrive right at her usual time.
As he buckled his seatbelt, Josiah cleared his throat a few times. Sienta frowned, “What’s with the coughing? Are you sick?”
“Not at all. Josiah paused, shaking his head. “It’s just been so dry lately; my throat feels parched.”
“Oh.” Sienna nodded, deciding not to ask more.
That evening, while they relaxed, Sienna leaned against Josiah and said, “Tomorrow night, I’m invited to dinner at Rosie’s place. If it runs late, 1 might need to stay over

no matter what.
Josiah didn’t seen 100 happy: “You’re planning to spend the night there!”
Sienna nodded. “I have friends 100; sometimes I need to catch up with my girlfriends”
“What gossip needs an entire evening?” Josiah complained.
Sienna puffed her cheeks in playful annoyance. “Just one night.”
Seeing her like this, Josiah realized that arguing about it would probably make her mad. He gave in. Fine, just one night, okay!”
Sienna smiled and lifted her head to kiss him, and he pulled her closer, deepening the kiss. When the kiss ended, Josiah held her wrist. “By the way. your watch has been found”
“What?” Sienna blinked in surprise.
“Is that surprising?” Josiah playfully squeezed her nose. “As I told you, this watch has DNA; it’s impossible to sell. The moment the thief took it, we got word. But it’s damaged and needs to go back to the store for repairs”
He leaned down to kiss her again. “They’ll send it back when it’s fixed, but it will take some time.”
Sienna nodded, thinking about how troublesome it was to maintain a life o
of luxury.
The night passed quietly. The next morning. Sienna followed her usual plan. Upon arriving at the hospital, Joyce began her treatment, after which she felt discomfort almost right away.
“Mommy,” Joyce snuggled close to Sienna, her teary eyes shining. “I miss Daddy. I feel so sick, can Daddy come see me?”
Sienna’s heart immediately ached, a twisting pain gripping her chest.
