Chapter 585
Freya was still frozen when another figure rushed in from behind.
Selah’s gaze landed on Percival’s turned profile, and she quickly moved to cover Freya’s eyes. “Children shouldn’t see this–go ahead. Mr. Stewart.”
“What?” Odalys turned at the noise.
She realized the door to the suite had already been shut, and Percival was no longer brushing her hair. He raised his hands with a shrug. “Still in the mood to keep going?”
“Not anymore.
- se. Let’s wrap it up,” Odalys replied,
They had only come to see the Bennett family embarrass themselves. With that spectacle over and everyone gone, there was no reason
to stay.
Odalys picked up a drink from the side table and downed it in one gulp, only to realize something was off a moment later. She paused, frowning at the burning sensation in her throat, then sniffed the glass.
“Wait, was this alcohol? Odalys asked, her voice laced with disbelief.
Her eyes widened, and she blinked rapidly as her throat burned. Her mouth was parched.
Percival noticed her empty glass. Stepping forward, he quickly poured her a glass of water. “That was Francis’s drink. He poured it earlier
-Why didn’t he take it with him? I thought it was juice,” Odalys muttered, her expression sour.
The faint fruity aroma had fooled her when she picked it up. She hadn’t expected it to be alcohol.
Percival watched as she drained the water and, with a touch of concern, lightly pressed his palm to her forehead “Do you feel okay? Dizzy? Should we try to make you throw it up!“
“It’s fine,” she said. “It was only a sip. I don’t feel anything
Odalys stood, set the glass down, and began walking toward the door. She felt great, almost energized–like a surge of vitality was coursing through her body.
Selah finally let go of Freya outside the suite after closing the door behind them.
“Freya’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. “Was Mr. Stewart stroking Odalys’s hair just now? I didn’t know he could be so gentle.”
Freya thought, “I might’ve seen even more if Selah hadn’t barged in
Selah caught her expression and rolled her eyes. They’re a real couple. If he weren’t a little tender, she’d have run off by now.”
“Shh, let’s sneak another look. Maybe he’ll kiss her this time,” Freya whispered, nudging Selah as they crept toward the suite door.
Freya cracked the door open slightly, just enough to peek through, but the door swung open fully before she could get a proper look. Percival’s tall frame loomed in the doorway, his sharp eyes sweeping over the two guilty faces.
“What are you two doing? Percival asked, his voice deep and dry.
The sound of his voice above her made Freya freeze. She looked up, locking eyes with Percival’s dark, narrowed gaze, and shivered under his intense scrutiny
“Uh…M
My stomach hurts! Selah was helping me. Freya stammered, clutching her abdomen as she tried to sound convincing.
Selah picked up on the cue, hurriedly wrapping an arm around Freya. “Yeah, she must’ve eaten something bad. I’ll take her to find a restroom. You two carry on
were blind. I’d know they had just

Percival watched them retreat down the hall, his forehead creased in exasperation. He thought, “Even if I we caught spying and were now trying to flee
Behind him. Odalys leaned out, grabbing his sleeve and tugging him toward the door. “Where are you going? Wait for me!” the called as she strode after them.
Percival followed close behind, descending the stairs to the nightclub floor. As they arrived, the entire room fell silent. Conversations halted, eyes turned their way, and a few even averted their gaze, uneasy.

“Who is that?”
“Shl, I heard it’s Percival.”
“Wasn’t he supposed to be dead?”
“What’s Percival doing here? Could it have something to do with Henry?
“Hey, Freya and Selah are there too
“Wait, it’s Odalys! She’s incredible! If I’d known she was upstairs, Ed have asked her to read my financial future.
Some onlookers whispered excitedly, while others openly admired her.
“Odalys, could you tell me about my love life”
Td like to know about my financial future”
A group of fans surged forward, led by a middle–aged man who looked to be in his fifties. His thinning hair and missing front teeth gave him a slightly disheveled appearance, and the ruby necklace around his neck marked him as Elias.
“Sorry, she’s had too much to drink,” Percival said smoothly. He slid his arm around Odalys slim waist, a subtle but unmistakable claim of ownership.
Though Odalys had only had a small amount of alcohol, she still felt perfectly clear–headed–no dizziness or discomfort.
As Percival guided her out, they passed the middle aged man Suddenly, Odalys stopped and looked him square in the eye.
“You should head home,” she said bluntly. “If you don’t, your mother’s going to die
Keylor froze, the grin on his face stiffening. His hand, toying with his ruby necklace, stopped abruptly. The comment rattled him; he hadn’t expected her to say something so ominous out of nowhere.
What the hell! Thats such bad luck to hear this late at night
“What did she just say! Someone’s ab
about to die?”
“I heard she never makes that remark unless it’s serious. Maybe his mother is on her deathbed.”
“Where’s his house! I want to see if she’s right.
A few bystanders immediately chimed in, their curiosity piqued. In a matter of seconds, the crowd’s attention had shifted entirely. The middle- aged man stood there, stunned, as a few people pressed him.
“Where do you live? We’ll come along and check.
“Yeah, let’s go to your house! others chimed in, eager to follow.
The nightclub, previously buzzing with activity, emptied as people rushed out to join the spectacle.
Even a few fans, initially intent on seeing Freya and Stellan, were now chasing after them. The once–crowded venue was suddenly empty, leaving only the boss behind, stunned
“What
it the h
hell happened to my club! Where is everyone?” he muttered, his heart aching at the sight of the deserted dance floor.
He couldn’t believe his entire crowd had vanished. He thought. Have my performers lost their appeal! They’re not even as popular as a few celebrities and star readings? Still, he didn’t dare say this out loud.
Meanwhile, Percival carried Odalys out, noting her slightly unsteady steps. Before she could take another stumble, he scooped her into his arms.
As Odalys
is fell against his chest, her cheek brushed against him, and she caught his heartbeat’s steady, powerful rhythm.
“Huh, what’s this? It’s
brating O
Odalys murmured
Her hand pressed lightly against his chest, curiously feeling the warmth there. Then she gave an absentminded tug, and with a faint ripping sound, his shirt parted, revealing his firm, sculpted chest.
“She stared for a moment slightly dazed. “Percival, you’ve got so much hair,” she murmured, her gaze fixed on him
“Women’s skin was typically soft and smooth, but Percival’s was exceptionally well–kept. His body, naturally more muscular and defined, had a different appeal. She leaned closer, her gaze fixed on his chest, and instinctively swallowed hard.
