Chapter 6
I originally thought that after I scolded Antonio, he wouldn’t show up again.
But he did. He waited for me downstairs at the company every day after work and even sent flowers to my office.
My colleagues were all curious about who was pursuing me.
I smiled and threw the flowers into the trash can. “A dead
‘man.”
An ex should be exactly like a dead man.
Antonio would even wait at my doorstep, always bringing gifts.
I looked at the logo on the gift box and realized that it was jewelry worth hundreds of dollars. It looked like he really spent “a lot” this time.
I directly threw it down the stairs in front of him.
Antonio was heartbroken, and after that, he stopped sending me gifts.
Not long after, the company had layoffs, and I was on the list.
To avoid Antonio’s harassment, I simply went back to my hometown.
My mom knew about my divorce and didn’t blame me. She said fate was destined. Since Antonio wasn’t a good man, the

She was worried about my mood, so she made me delicious food every day.
After just one week at home, I gained 2 kilos.
After that, I started looking for a job, and I quickly found a designer position, but I never expected that the boss would be my former high school classmate, Dillon.
My major in college was jewelry design, but after graduation, I didn’t pursue it because I desperately needed a job.
Dillon was still as gentle and elegant as before.

Tgradually became familiar with Dillon. After work, we occasionally had dinner together. He didn’t act like a boss, and we always had a great time.
Yet Antonio showed up.
Antonio glared at me as if I had cheated on him. “Grace, is this the reason you rejected me?”
Then he glanced at Dillon and disdainfully said, “A man like him is way out of my league.”
I was furious because he insulted Dillon.
“Antonio, I won’t allow you to say that about Dillon. He is a thousand times better than you. You are selfish, hypocritical, and cold–blooded. You have nothing but money!”

“Grace, I’ll give you one last chance. Will you remarry me?”
I laughed.
Even if he begged me to get back together, I wouldn’t. Yet he did it with such an attitude.
How absurd!
“Antonio, listen carefully. I will not remarry you.”
Antonio didn’t take it seriously. “I know you’ve been waiting for me to find you. Besides me, which man would want a woman like you? I’ve fucked you for three whole years…”
Before he could finish his words, Dillon slammed him with great force.
“You scumbag!”
Blood seeped from the corner of Antonio’s mouth as he stared wide–eyed. “How dare you?”
Dillon didn’t answer him and instead, he threw another punch.
Antonio’s strength wasn’t as good as Dillon’s, so he was pinned to the ground and got beaten.
I was afraid Dillon would be retaliated against by Antonio, so I stepped forward to pull him away.
Antonio thought I did that because I felt bad for him. I sneered. “Feel bad for you? You don’t deserve it.”
Of course not!
