Chapter 1
Grace Parrish’s secretary put a file on the desk for her to sign.
Just as she picked up the pen, her phone rang.
“Grace, I’ve run out of body wash. Bring me a bottle. Oh, and remember to get the rose–scented one; you know it’s Antonio’s favorite.”
Celeste Porter’s voice rang out on the other end of the line.
Grace frowned. Then she put down the pen, grabbed her coat, and walked out.
“Ms. Parrish? You got a meeting coming up,” her secretary, Maggie Sutton, called out to her behind her.
“Cancel it.”
Grace said quickly and then hurried out.
After picking up the body wash at a supermarket, she went to Celeste’s place.
The second she entered, she heard sultry sounds from the bedroom.
She stood in the living room motionlessly, unable to move whatsoever.
Her husband, Antonio Kaufman, and Celeste, who she used to think was her bestie, were in the bedroom.

It turned out Celeste didn’t need body wash at all; it was simply an excuse she used to disgust Grace.
Similar things had happened again and again, yet Grace’s heart, which should have been numb already, still ached.
Their sounds were non–stop, like a pair of hands gripping her throat tightly.
“Honey, someone’s outside.”
They finally noticed her.
Antonio, being interrupted, pulled a long face.
He said, his voice tinged with anger, “Grace, you’ve got some
nerves.
“Do not interrupt me ever again.”
Celeste nestled in his arms, her voice coquettish. “I told Grace you were coming over, but I didn’t expect that she’d come here at this time just to see you.
“She knows that whenever we’re together, we’ll…”
Antonio snorted, “If watching us doing it is her quirk, why not? She can stay here and watch for as long as she wants.”
Grace really thought that if she stayed any longer, she’d be so sick that she’d puke.
As she turned to leave, Antonio said behind her, “If you dare to leave, I’ll make sure your family’s company vanishes from Astait City.”
His words were like a deadly spell.

An hour later, Antonio walked out of Celeste’s bedroom, and she saw red marks on the skin beneath the unfastened collar
of his shirt.
Antonio sneered, his eyes devoid of any warmth, “What is it? You’re horny?”
Grace turned her gaze away, avoiding his. “Can I leave?”
He buttoned his shirt nonchalantly. “If you want, beg me.”
