Chapter 3
Being betrayed by the two people she trusted the most, Grace felt her world collapsing at that moment.
Celeste lost her baby, and the doctor said she’d never get pregnant again.
From then on, Grace had become a sinner, living with guilt.
Five years had passed, but whenever she thought of that day, she still felt the sharp pain.
“Grace, go get me some coffee.”
Celeste’s words brought her back to reality.
Carrying bags, she waited in line for half an hour, and finally, she bought the coffee Celeste wanted.
Celeste took a sip and spat it out right away, spraying it onto Grace’s face.
Celeste frowned. “Did you do this on purpose, Grace? The coffee is disgusting.”
Then Celeste poured the rest of the coffee on Grace. “Go get me another one.”
She left her work behind, bringing Celeste body wash and condoms Celeste didn’t need at all. And now, she was here, carrying Celeste’s bags and getting Celeste coffee. Was she Celeste’s maid or what?

Celeste raised her chin slightly, looking arrogant. It was like that timid Celeste she met for the first time never existed.
Grace tried to hold back her anger. “Celeste, don’t go too far.”
Celeste snorted, looking at her contemptuously, not taking her words seriously at all.
“Or what? Are you gonna hit me?
“You know how important I am to Antonio. You won’t end up well if you cross me.”
Seeing the angry expression on Grace’s face and her wet clothes, Celeste was in a great mood, and she couldn’t help but gloat, “To tell you the truth, it wasn’t Antonio’s baby at all.
“Well, what can I do? He’s so obsessed with me and believes everything I say.”
Grace had been suffering from Antonio’s anger for years, yet now, Celeste was telling her the baby that drove her and Antonio apart wasn’t even his.
She clenched her fists. “Celeste, have you ever thought about what would happen if Antonio found out?”
Celeste wasn’t scared at all. She smiled confidently, “Oh, so you’re gonna tell him? Go ahead. See who he believes–you or me.”
Grace refused to believe that Antonio would still treat Celeste so well without having complaints after learning the truth.
She dialed his number, and soon, his familiar ringtone sounded nearby.

Dressed in an elegant tailored dark blue suit, Antonio walked over, looking calm and composed.
He held Celeste in his arms with an arm, and she looked so surprised. “Antonio? Why are you here? I thought you had a meeting.”
He pecked her lips. “I was worried that someone might pick on you, so I came over as soon as the meeting ended.”
Grace froze in situ, her hand still holding the phone.
He thought she’d pick on Celeste?
Did he see her wet clothes? Did he see how she had suffered these years?
No matter what she did, he just firmly believed she was vicious.
Celeste nestled in Antonio’s arms, and they looked just like two lovebirds.
Grace didn’t want Antonio to be kept in the dark, so she told him the truth, “Antonio, you weren’t the father of Celeste’s baby.”
As he turned to her, the tenderness on his face was
completely replaced by coldness. “Grace, I can’t believe you’re still trying to smear Celeste till now.
“She always defends you in front of me. Do you know that? Why do you keep hurting her?”
Grace was stunned, her heart filled with bitterness.
Sure enough, Celeste was right. He loved Celeste so much
