Chapter 4
They gaped at the police, totally stunned.
Anna, clueless about what was happening, snuggled up to Antonio like she was the victim.
“Antonio, I haven’t done anything wrong. Why are the police here? Did Grace call them?” she asked.
“She’s still in the hospital. Why would she call the cops?” Antonio said.
As he spoke, I got to my feet.
The video showed a super revealing shot of me while I was pregnant.
It wasn’t taken from the angle we agreed on. It was clearly taken without me knowing. I was changing clothes and had no idea someone was taking a photo of me.
But she used it for the competition. I got her scheme.
She just wanted to embarrass me and make everyone see my not–so- perfect figure and stretch marks. She thought I didn’t deserve Antonio, the brilliant doctor and she was the perfect match.
Everyone on Instagram was sharing this picture.
It showed they all knew what Anna meant, but they backed her up
anyway.
Antonio probably gave them some hints that I would just put up with it. He thought I had already had his child and wouldn’t make a scene over
this.
Chapter 4
So he let his friends bully me.
They passed my photos around, and even posted them online, which led to a lot of people trash–talking me.
I could easily grab screenshots from my own social media.
All of this was evidence for my police report.
And the moment I got the news, I knew exactly what was going on.
I stared at Antonio and said, “Why would I call the cops? This photo alone is enough for me to call the cops. And even without this photo, I’ve got something else. Do you want to hear it?”
Seeing me, Antonio was taken aback, because I had clearly lost a lot of weight, looking haggard compared to just after giving birth.
“Why are you here?”
He tried to approach, but Anna held him back tightly. He didn’t push her away. Instead, he just kept asking me what was wrong and why I was so
thin.
“Where’s the baby? Why is it just you? Is the baby okay?”
I sneered, “You still remember you had a baby? If so, why did you go out of town with Anna and make out when I was bleeding heavily after childbirth?”
As soon as I said this, the media present, who were live–streaming, instantly turned their cameras on me.
This kind of news seemed even more interesting than the awards.
Plus, I had already started posting my own videos and had gained some popularity, so the media wouldn’t miss this chance.
At that moment. Antonio and his friends suddenly targeted me.
“Don’t talk nonsense. You’d better watch your words, or I can sue you for defamation!”
That’s right. Antonio stayed with Anna for her birthday. We’ve been doing this for years. Can’t he still do it just because he’s married? Anna always buys you makeup and gifts. She is so nice to you. How can you be so ungrateful?”
“Exactly.”
After they spoke. Antonio told the cops. “I’m so sorry. My wife just gave birth. Maybe she’s got some postpartum depression. These are just our family matters. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
But the cops firmly turned him down.
“Your wife has put together a pretty solid case. You and Ms. Snyder are being suspected of secretly recording her and making money off her images.”
