When I looked up, a woman with perfect makeup was staring at me disdainfully.
She sat next to Antonio, across from me.
“Hello. I’m Tony’s girlfriend, Ruth Eldred.”
I ignored her, but she touched Antonio and asked, “Tony, why didn’t you introduce us? Who is this?”
Antonio looked awkward.
Ruth’s appearance had caught him off guard.
The evasive look in his eyes was ridiculous.
“I work for Mr. Kaufman. The place was full, so we’re sharing this one.”
Antonio looked at me in astonishment, but it quickly vanished and he let out a sigh of relief.
“Oh, yes. This is my employee Grace Parrish.”
Hearing this, Ruth smiled gently.
“Ms. Parrish, you must be outstanding. This is the first time I’ve ever seen Tony eating with someone else.”
Ruth put her phone on the table and pushed it forward.

The screen of Ruth’s phone displayed her Facebook account information. Sure enough. She and Antonio were using matching profile pictures.
Even their clothes were of the same color today. They were fancy matching outfits.
Right now, they were sitting together. The soft light spilled over them, making them look like a cute couple.
I dropped my fork to leave.
Ruth grabbed my hand, and her long nails bit into my skin, right where Antonio couldn’t see.
“Ms. Parrish, I just got here. And you’re leaving already? Did I say something wrong? I’m sorry, OK?”
I didn’t have time to compete with her for a man. So, I pulled my hand back.
Ruth’s hand hit the boy sitting next to her.
He cried out in pain.
Ruth seemed to be on the verge of crying. She apologized to the boy right away.
Antonio quickly transferred money and apologized to the boy’s family.
Unexpectedly, the boy suddenly pointed to me and said, “It was her fault! She shook this lady’s hand to hit me! She must apologize to me!”
Ruth pretended to be the victim. “Ms. Parrish, what exactly did I do to you? If you wanna vent your anger, come at me. Don’t hurt innocent people.”
Instantly, the customers began pointing fingers at me.
Antonio glared at me and said. “What are you waiting for? Apologize! Aren’t you humiliated?”
The boy suddenly ran over to bite me, and he wouldn’t let go.
The more Ruth persuaded him, the harder he bit.
Then, I apologized to the boy and was gonna leave.
Ignoring my bleeding hand, Antonio grabbed my arm to stop me. He wanted me to apologize to Ruth.
“Grace, apologize to Ruth!”
Ruth acted like it didn’t matter and said, “Tony, forget it. I’m fine, anyway. But that boy must be hurting a lot.”
Antonio looked at the red back of Ruth’s hand and felt bad.
Then, he put my hand into the freshly served hot soup.
It wasn’t that hot, but the salty broth seeped into my bite wound, and I shuddered from the pain.
“Grace, how can you be so vicious? This is a lesson for you!”

answer.
The onlookers were buzzing with discussion.
“Which girl is his girlfriend?”
“Are you stupid? It’s gotta be the one he’s protecting. Can’t you see they’re
wearing matching clothes?”
People looked at me with sympathy.
“Young man, don’t go too far. Stop, or the girl’s hand will be done.”
My face was pale, and I smiled at Antonio. He panicked when our eyes.
