Chapter 4 Mysterious Genius
Thinking of this, Isabella remarked, “Sierra, you’re indeed special. Ast much as Jamal is busy, he doesn’t mind causing a sensation for you.”
Her tone dripped with jealousy. Sierra raised her brows and scoffed, “Really? I thought this was how he doted on you. Did he never do this for you in the past ten years?”
Isabella’s expression changed slightly. Despite the burning jealousy inside her, she put on a smiling face. “No. Because I’m easygoing. I’m never in conflict with anyone.”
She made it sound like Sierra caused trouble and asked her brother to take care of it.
Sierra squinted her eyes. Sure enough. This girl was totally a
manipulative bitch. Sierra didn’t mind, though. She swirled her glass arrogantly. “Really? Learn from me. I never put up with anyone. If someone makes trouble for me, I get even.”
The sharpness in her eyes deepened when she said the last sentence.
The implication of her words was plain. Isabella got nervous and lowered her head hurriedly.
Trevon smiled at Sierra, “Like father, like daughter. You’re as decisive and efficient as me!”
Karla picked some food for Sierra and said gently, “Rara, have a taste of this dish. It’s delicious.”
“Thank you, Mom.” Sierra smiled contentedly.
The more Jamal looked at Sierra, the more he adored her. He ladled soup
for her.
Unbeknownst to them, an undetectable trace of malice flitted across
Isabella’s eyes as she watched them look after Sierra.
Sierra finally knew what it was like to be loved by family. The warmth in her heart was beyond words.
After dinner, Trevon said to Jamal, “Help Sierra change her last name to Cordova tomorrow.”
“Noted.” Jamal nodded. He had thought of that.
Getting rid of the surname of Giada, Sierra would formally be a Cordova. She was glad.
“Sierra Cordova. That’s a pretty name.” Jamal commented affectionately.
Sierra nodded, “I think so,
So, too.”

Isabella smiled. Then, she asked out of the blue, “Sierra, where did go to school? Jamal graduated from Kingbury University. I go to Kingbury University, too. But I skipped grades. I guess you’re still in high school. Am I right?”
Contempt was plain in Isabella’s eyes. Sierra smiled, “What a coincidence. I skipped grades, too. And I also go to Kingbury University. I’m a junior.”
The corner of Isabella’s mouth twitched. But Trevon and Karla overjoyed to hear Sierra’s words.

“Sierra, you’re a student of Kingbury University, too? And you’re a junior?” Considering how she had lived with the Giada family, they were surprised Sierra did so well at school.

Sierra raised her brows. “Hmm. Mr. Colon invited me.”
Kingbury University was the best in Kingbury. It was the property of Egbert Colon, one of the three business tycoons from 20 years ago. He established it after he retired.
Sierra met Egbert years ago. He took her as his foster granddaughter. So, it was easy for Sierra to go to Kingbury University.
It still puzzled the Giada family. They had given up on Sierra. How did she get into Kingbury University? But still, this was a glorious matter. They had nothing to complain about.
“Mr. Colon invited you?” Jamal raised his brows slightly, finding it incredible.
Egbert was just. No one could pull strings with him.
Isabella couldn’t believe her ears, either. She scoffed, “Sierra, Mr. Colon is strict and just. I went to great lengths to get into Kingbury University.” Anyway, she didn’t believe it.
Sierra rolled her eyes at Isabella. “Isn’t it normal? I did the best on the college entrance exam.”
Sierra left out her relationship with Egbert. Her scores were convincing enough.
Everyone was taken aback.
Isabella’s expression changed subtly. It dawned on her that there was indeed a genius in her grade. The girl was No. 1 on the entrance exam. Oddly, the girl was scarcely seen on campus. But she always ranked first on exams every time.
Now, Isabella remembered the girl’s

No wonder she had felt Sierra’s name was familiar. The mysterious. campus genius turned out to be the newly found Cordova girl.
“You’re a junior, just like Isabella. Which class?” Jamal asked meaningfully.
Sierra replied calmly, “Class A.”
Jamal raised his brows. “The best class? No wonder Isabella has never seen you before. She’s in Class C.”
It was only an expression. But Isabella was deeply humiliated. Her face hurt as if it had just been scratched. She feigned calmness, though. “Sierra, it turns out you’re the mysterious grade No. 1. I truly have never seen you before.”
Sierra replied coolly, “Because I’ve finished the required courses at home beforehand. I only go to university for the exams. You don’t see me at other times.”
The Cordova family was dumbfounded. Sierra was a genius.
“It seems we don’t have to worry about your scores.” Jamal smiled and involuntarily looked at Isabella.
Isabella was fidgety. But lacking a chance to demean Sierra, she could only keep quiet.
Happiness was written all over Karla’s face. “Your other brothers have their own homes. They’ve been too busy come back lately. When they do, I’ll introduce them to you. Now, I’m taking you to your room.”

“OK.” Sierra nodded and went upstairs with Karla.
The smile on Isabella’s face faded as she watched her parents and brothers leave with Sierra. She clenched the fork so tight #1

pale.
She had thought the adopted daughter of the Giada family couldn’t compare to her. It turned out Sierra was much stronger.
Resentment appeared in her eyes as Isabella stared in the direction of the staircase. She snorted, “Sierra, wait and see.”
