Chapter 5 Visitor
The darkness gathered.
Karla talked with Sierra for a long while before leaving her room.
Looking around the unfamiliar room, Sierra took a deep breath.
She was finally home. Her family turned out to be more powerful than the Giada family. It would be difficult for her to stay inconspicuous.
The curtain beside the door suddenly moved.
Sierra looked swiftly that way. “Come out.”
A frivolous–looking man in black leather came out from behind the door. “Well, well. As much as I’m quick, you spot me every time.”
Sierra rolled her eyes at his shoes. “You like to play cool and wear leather shoes. They make noise.”
Phantom’s eyes dimmed. “You have keen ears. No one else in our organization has noticed the noise.”
Sierra didn’t wanna argue with him. She asked coldly, “What are you here for? Is there a task for me?”
Phantom grinned, “I was only curious about the true identity of Deity, the internationally top–notch special forces soldier. It seems a new self- introduction is in order, Ms. Cordova.”
Seeing the flighty grin on his face, Sierra kicked him in the shin. “Get
lost!”

Chapter 5 Vis
Did this guy come to tease her?
“Damn! It hurt like hell!” Sierra was quick, accurate, and ruthless. She was surprisingly strong. Although she didn’t exert much strength, Phantom’s shin was swollen already. “Deity, can’t you be gentle? I’m your partner, not your enemy.”
Sierra snorted, “You’re lucky that you’re my partner. Otherwise, you’d be long dead.”
Sierra had been partners with this imprudent young man for three years. She had saved his life six times. A few kicks were no big deal.
“Heartless woman!” Phantom kept rubbing his shin to ease the pain.
“Leave if you have nothing else to say. Don’t come here unless you have to.” The security system in the Cordova family was much stronger than that in the Giada family. She didn’t want her parents and brothers to know her identity.
Phantom complained, “This is your first day coming back to the Cordova family. You already wanna get rid of me?”
He had been afraid this would happen. That was why he came to see her.
Sierra sighed, “What else do you expect me to do? The Cordova family’s security system is powerful. If they see you, my identity will be exposed.”
Phantom pouted. “What’s the big deal? It’s not bad for the Cordova family.”
Sierra frowned and punched him. “Of course, it’s bad. I don’t want my family to be anyone’s target.”
Seeing how serious she was, Phantom fell silent.
Chapter 5 Visitor
They had been in the underworld for years. Sierra had countless enemies. Being targeted was dangerous even for the powerful Cordova family.
“Noted. I’ll try not to come. But if there’s a task…”
“Email me,” she interrupted him.
“Oh.” Phantom had to agree.
“Go.” Sierra began driving him away.
Phantom felt wounded. “We may not see each other in a long time. Won’t you buy me a drink?”
“I’ll be glad if I don’t see you.” Phantom followed her everywhere. Part of the reason she didn’t attend classes was that she wanted to avoid him.
“Cruel woman, although there’s no task for you, I came for something serious.” Phantom took out his phone.
The headline said the Giada Group’s stocks had a limit down halt. All its projects had been terminated. News about its financial problems was everywhere.
“The Giada Group was hopeless long ago. I told you not to buy its shares, but you wouldn’t listen. See what happened? If the Giada Group.
withdraws from the market and goes bankrupt tomorrow, all your investment is gone.”
The Giada Group was fraught with problems before. Out of gratitude to Enzo for raising her, Sierra invested in the name of Ayana Casey. Otherwise, the company would’ve gone bankrupt long ago.
“Ayana is known as a mysterious investment queen in the international financial market. She’s never failed. If the Giada Group goes bankrupt, your reputation will be marred.”

“Can’t you talk about something cheerful?” Sierra wanted to punch him again. “This is none of your business. I’ll protect my own reputation.”
Phantom shrugged. “Fine. Whatever. I’m off.”
He stopped before the rails on the balcony. “You…take care. Don’t miss. me too much.”
His slushy words gave Sierra goosebumps. She couldn’t help kicking him again. “Beat it. Out of my sight!”
Phantom screamed and jumped from the second floor.
He was a good martial artist. Jumping off from this height was a piece of cake for him. The surveillance camera was moving toward him. Phantom gestured to Sierra, saying she was heartless, and left quickly.
Sierra shook her head and went back to her bedroom.
What she didn’t know was, in the next room, a pair of eyes had seen everything.
