Chapter 7 Fiancé
With such a thought, Isabella was so bitter and furious that. She bit her lip so hard it nearly bled.
Yet. Sierra was totally dumbfounded.
She thought, “Who is this old man? Grandpa calls him Matthew? Who’s Matthew’s grandson?
“A good match? What do they mean by that?”
Just then, there came a commotion from the door.
Everyone looked over, and Matthew smiled, “Finally.”
A tall, slender man came into view the next second. His black custom suit complimented his cold, imposing aura. Looking up, his cheekbones appeared chiseled into shape by a master craftsman, and the lineaments of his face were in perfect proportion to each other. He was the chosen one indeed.
Many of the socialites present began whispering, gasping in admiration.
“It’s Mr. Lester…”
“He’s so handsome.”
“Agreed. He’s more attractive than idols…”
Hearing their discussion, Isabella turned around to look at him at once.
Her heartache intensified as he walked over.
Chapter Fanc
She had had a secret crush on him for years.
She even used his photos for the wallpaper on both her computer and her phone. She had always believed that she could marry him as she wished, yet it seemed it was just her wishful thinking.
Fabian Lester passed by her and walked towards Sierra. Staring at his back, she felt extremely upset and unwilling.
Meanwhile, as Sierra watched such a handsome man approaching, she inexplicably had a bad feeling.
While she was in a daze, Fabian had already stood in front of her. He was 1.88 meters tall, and coupled with his striking face, he could be called the real–life Prince Charming.
Seeing that Sierra blocked his way, he said coldly, “Excuse me.”
Matthew pulled a long face. “Fabian, be gentle to your fiancée.”
Hearing that Sierra was his fiancée, Fabian arched an eyebrow, slightly surprised.
But in the next second, his eyes were devoid of any emotion again. He said to Sierra politely yet distantly, “Hi. I’m Fabian.”
His cold, business–like greeting made Sierra frown.
Yet, she overlooked her displeasure because her attention was drawn by Matthew’s introduction.
She looked at Arthur. “Grandpa, who’s his fiancée? I’m not…”
However, Arthur grinned. “You’ve just come back, so it makes sense you don’t know. The Lester and the Cordova families have been friends for generations, and since you and Fabian were born, you were engaged.”

“Engaged?!” Sierra was so shocked she nearly choked.
She thought. “I’m engaged? When? I have no idea!”
She instinctively looked at Karla and Trevon, who looked both satisfied. and awkward.
Then she remembered that they had mentioned something about another
announcement.
Could this be it?
Meanwhile, Arthur had already raised his glass and announced loudly in the center of the hall, “Thank you, everyone, for coming to the party hosted by the Lester and the Cordova families. As you know, our families. have been close friends for generations, and we arranged an engagement for Fabian and Sierra years ago. Now that she’s come back, it’s time to make their relationship official.”
Sierra was utterly slack–jawed.
What was happening?
She had just been back for two days. Yesterday, she suddenly had several brothers out of the blue, and today, she actually had a fiancé?
“Grandpa, I…”
When living with the Giada family, she seemed to be a pushover who had suffered, but in fact, she led a carefree life secretly, and no one could ever
tie her down.
She’d never be forced to be bound to a man like this.
Just then, Trevon and Karla walked over to her. Karla said, “Rara, it happened suddenly. I’ll explain everything to you when we get back. For

now, just listen to Arthur, OK?”
“I…” Sierra wanted to argue. But Trevon echoed, lowering his voice, “Be good, Rara.”
She could only grit her teeth, compromising. After all, she didn’t want to embarrass either the Lester family or her family.
She thought. “Forget it. Anyway, with my abilities, it’ll be easy peasy for me to get Fabian to call off the engagement. Why upset Dad, Mom, and Grandpa? I’ll just figure something out later.”
With this thought in mind, she didn’t say anything. Instead, she looked at Fabian. To her surprise, though she was so worked up, Fabian had no reaction at all.
He glanced at her as if sensing her gaze. Then he actually sized her up and then quickly looked away disdainfully.
She thought, “What the heck does he mean?
“He’s upset?
“I don’t want this engagement either, OK?”
Though she was pissed, she could do nothing. Everyone else raised their glasses to celebrate the engagement, and Matthew was overjoyed to have such a perfect granddaughter–in–law.
Isabella was the only one who didn’t join them. In a corner, she glared at Sierra with hatred, her nails digging into her palms. Blood was oozing
out.
She thought angrily, “Sierra, wait and see. I’ll make sure your reputation gets ruined tonight. You wanna snatch Fabian away from me? Dream on!”
