Chapter 13 Fall for Him?
Hearing Karla’s words, Sierra was so embarrassed that she almost had the urge to vanish into thin air at once.
When she asked Trevon for Fabian’s number in the morning, the way
Karla looked at her was very suggestive. And now, Karla’s gaze was
actually filled with anticipation; it was almost as if something had already happened between her and Fabian.
Feeling a headache coming on, she found it hard to meet Karla’s e gaze and could only say truthfully, “Yeah, but…”
She wanted to bury the lede and explain.

But Karla interrupted her with a knowing look on her face, “I get it. No. need to explain. I know Fabian is handsome, and you fell for him at first sight, right? Well, you should. He’s the one Trevon and I carefully picked for you…”
Karla started to extol all kinds of Fabian’s virtues. “He’s already so
successful at such a young age, and he’s also ambitious and humble. You have no idea. Countless young ladies are fighting with each other to marry him…”
Sierra couldn’t stop complaining inwardly at all.
She thought, “I’m not some lovesick girl, OK? Why would I fall for him at first sight?
“I couldn’t care less how many women are obsessed with him.
“He took advantage of me last night. In his office, he even wanted to make

me take the blame. Even thinking of him annoys me.”
After praising Fabian, Karla noticed Sierra’s displeased look and realized she had been running her mouth. She cleared her throat and said, “I guess I got carried away. Better get back to business. What did you talk about. today? Could you tell me?”
Karla was extremely happy about the engagement. Worried that Sierra was inexperienced and might be shy, she wanted to offer some advice.
Looking at Karla’s eyes lit up with anticipation, Sierra found it almost impossible to maintain her smile.
She and Fabian talked about their time in bed last night. Of course, she couldn’t tell Karla that.
Gritting her teeth, she tried her best to force a smile. “It’s… nothing important.”
Karla thought she was shy and grinned. “I get it. After all, you’ve only known him for two days. You should get to know each other before anything. It may not seem important, but it’s the foundation of a relationship. Don’t rush…”
She tried to comfort Sierra, worried Sierra might feel dejected.
Sierra felt that she was sitting onpinsandneedles. She quickly came up with an excuse and said, “Mom, I’m a bit tired. Can I go upstairs and
rest?”
“Sure. Go ahead.” Seeing Sierra almost flee away, Karla chuckled.
She thought, “Rara is so cute. She’s brave enough to come to see Fabian voluntarily on the second day after they met, yet she’s still so shy in front of me.”

Back in her room, Sierra finally relaxed. Only then did she realize her palms were sweaty.
Dealing with Karla, who wanted to set her up with Fabian, was actually tougher than completing a mission.
She thought. “Damn you, Fabian. I must break off our engagement as soon as possible. Once I deal with you, I’ll never have to face such awkward situations again.”
Still frustrated, she lay down on the bed and received a message from Phantom.
“Mission accomplished. On the day of the party, the waiter received a large sum of money from Isabella.”
Isabella?
Sure enough, it was her.
Sierra’s eyes darkened to the extreme. After thanking Phantom, she turned off her phone exclusively for her missions.
She thought, “I’m surprised. I’ve just come back, and Isabella has already made her move, trying to hurt me.
“It’s only right if I return the favor.”
Soon, it was dinner time. Sierra slowly came downstairs, and Trevon had just returned.
Next to him was a handsome yet aloof man, who looked a bit like Trevon and Jamal.
She presumed he must be another family member.

Phantom talked too much. If she could have a partner who was the silent type, she’d be over the moon.
Her sincere words made Garrett’s gaze soften, and even the atmosphere was no longer that cold and still.
Karla and Trevon were surprised at how understanding Sierra was. She didn’t find being around Garrett awkward at all.
“Sierra. I like your sincerity, too,” moved by Sierra’s sincerity, Garrett complimented her as well.
Karla and Trevon were stunned.
It had been ages since Garrett cared so much about someone. Also, he had always been silent. Even during family gatherings, he wouldn’t utter at word unless he absolutely had to.
“As long as you don’t find me annoying, Garrett,” Sierra smiled sincerely and brightly, which lifted Garrett’s mood a lot.
She was the cutest person he had ever seen, and he actually couldn’t help. but want to dote on her.
“You’re not annoying at all,” he smiled.
Karla was relieved to see them getting along. She said, “Alright, don’t just stand there. Let’s all sit and chat.”
Sierra wasn’t familiar with Garrett’s personality, so she chatted with him for a while after sitting down.
Meanwhile, Karla and Trevon looked at them happily. Karla’s eyes darted between them as she sighed, “See? Their profiles are incredibly alike.”
“Is that so?” Trevon studied them for a moment. Then he echoed, “You
