Ella immediately said happily, “That’s great, Grace! We’ll go get the paperwork ready then. There’s no turning back after the paperwork is done.”
Grace clutched her phone, her fingertips trembling slightly. She said firmly, “I won’t regret it.”
Just when Ella was about to hang up, she thought of something and asked tentatively, “What about your boyfriend then? You pursued him for so long. You like him a lot, don’t you?”
The word “boyfriend” was like a thorn, stabbing into Grace’s heart hard.

On the evening of the third day, she finally finished sorting through the last item.
As she stood in the middle of the living room looking at the much emptier apartment, she actually felt relieved.
In the next second, Antonio pushed open the door and entered.
At the sight of the room. he frowned. “What did you throw away?”
She looked up, her gaze calm. “Nothing important.”
He walked over to her and said, his tone displeased. “I was hurt so badly. Why did you come to check on me?”
She curled up her lips, saying coldly. “You’re already discharged, right? It means you weren’t hurt that badly.”
He was slightly stunned. Then he explained. “I heard you donated a lot of blood for me. I was worried, so I came back to see if you’re OK.”
As he said, his gaze fell on her arm. Then his tone became much gentler. which was so rare. “Does it hurt?”
She hid her arm behind her body and said indifferently. “No, it doesn’t.”
Noticing her indifference, he frowned. “What happened? I was
hospitalized for a few days, and you’ve become like a completely different person.”
She smiled, though her eyes were devoid of any emotion, “Different how?”
He said nothing, but both of them knew the answer.
In the past, Grace always looked at him with affection. When he had a cold, she’d be worried sick and wished she could stay by his side 24/7.
This time, he was hospitalized for three days, yet she didn’t even call him.
He stared at her face for a few seconds, seemingly wanting to read. something from her expression.
Then he suddenly said, his voice deep and gentle, “You’ve been a bit tired

me, OK?”
