Chapter 13
Llor eyes blazing ||
Granny Schuter finally lost it. She tossed the riding crap at the three of them, I
Yes three hit each other. Don’t stop until I tell you to
None of the brother dared to defy her. One by one, they whipped at each other putting everything they had into each hit in no time, their clothes were shredded, blood running down their backs, angry red wells opening up with every blow. It was brutal–almost hard to watch.
No one know how long it went on. At last, Granny Schuler raised her hand. “Enough.” Her voice was cold as steel. “Now Tell me what exactly did you do wrong?
For a beat, no one spoke. Then Lev stepped forward, stubbom as ever, “Grandma, I didn’t do anything wrong. I never wanted to marry Rosa. She’s only upset because she kept chasing after me. I wamed her ever and over”
Austin chimed in, just as defensive “Same here, Grandma, if she hadn’t kept coming after us, she wouldn’t have gotten herself into so much trouble. She bullied Abby, so she deserved what she got.“);
Aiden nodded, holding his ground. “Yeah, I agree. None of us wanted this engagement. It never should’ve happened. We didn’t do anything wrong
Granny Schuler let out a sharp, humorless laugh. “Oh? If you’re all so against marrying Rosa, then why make such a scene today? Rosa’s already given in–she’s marrying Phil. You got what you wanted. So what are you unhappy about now?
Silence. The whole room fet frozen
After a long pause. Granny Schuler’s lips curled into a cold smile. “Since you refuse to admit how you really feel, fine. I’ll arrange for you to get engaged to Abigail–the purl you all claim to like so much.
“And if any of you dare to mess with Rosa and Phil again, don’t expect me–or Phil–to go easy on you.”
The three brothers just stared at her, stunned.!!
“Grandma, what did you just say?” they blurted out together.
She repeated herself, her tone brooking no argument.
Aiden ducked his head, his voice barely above a whisper “No, I mean, getting engaged is too soon. I haven’t even figured out what I want yet.”
Panic twisted in his gut. The truth was, he wasn’t so sure he wanted to marry Abigail after all30
He glanced at his brothers. The look in their eyes said they felt the same
Granny Schuler’s smirk grew sharper. “Oh, you don’t want to get engaged to Abigail? Too bad, it’s settled. You keep saying you like her–so now you can marry her. End of discussion
With a loud slam, she stormed out, locking the door behind her.
They were trapped /
Just as they started to protest, a bodyguard’s flat voice drifted in from the hallway. “Gentlemen, please keep going. Madam says you’re not getting out until Master
The Lodyguard stood guard outside, unmoved by their shoots
Lex Auson, and Aiden exchanged looks, each one blaming the others.
“Why didn’t you just agree to marry Abigail?!
All the spoke at once Lev let put a frustrated sigh. I mean, I like her, but I never actually thought about marrying her.”
Clearly, the other two felt the same
Even while they argued about Abigail all three of them found their thoughts dutting back to flung
More than anything, they just wanted to get out
