The anonymous bet sent the livestream into chaos.
With such an astronomical sum
sum at stake, skepticism flooded the comments:
[ $50M? This has to be a setup–they’re seamming us!]
[Smells like a rigged game. Who’s the dumbass throwing money away?]
Wendy, staying calm despite the accusations, flaunted her betting record.
“Relax, guys. I also bet that Jennifer will apologize. Not sure which fool gave us all this money. Guess we’ve got a generous idiot funding our payday!” she said, her smile barely concealing her smirk.
But even with her casual dismissal, the doubting comments kept coming As more and more people joined the live chat, Wendy seemed unsure. After all, this was all her personal fortune she had bet on.
Meanwhile, Aaron’s expression grew darker by the second.
“Who placed that bet?” he demanded, grip tightening on the helicopter railing. “No one else would back you unless – Are you Jon me?”
“Not your business! Once I get out of here, we’re getting a divorce,” I shot back, without a second of hesitation.

But instead of calming down, Aaron’s anger only intensified. The word “divorce” snapped something in him. His cold smile spread across his face as he ordered the bodyguards.
“Fine,” he hissed, signaling the guards. “Since we’re gonna make it authentic. let’s get it real. Wendy suffered through snakes—you
will too.”
“Bring out the snakes!”
The moment those words left his mouth, my face turned as white as a sheet. Aaron knew exactly how terrified I was of snakes!
At his command, the bodyguards lowered a cage, and within seconds, dozens of snakes slithered out. The terrifying hissing sound filled
the air as they spread across the sand.
I instinctively stepped back, panic rising in my chest, but Aaron only scoffed.
“They’re just harmless garter snakes, nothing to worry about Kids in the mountains deal with them all the time. Only a spoiled princess would panic.“”
“Yeah, we used to get bitten by snakes all the time when we were kids, and we’re fine!” Wendy added, her voice dripping with malice, her eyes sparkling with cruel satisfaction.
But before I could even process her words, I realized the snakes that had begun to surround me weren’t harmless at all: I saw them- the vibrant bands of red and yellow–Coral snakes, famous for their deadly venom!
I tried to move, but my feet, already bloodied from the nails in the sand, wouldn’t let me run. I stumbled, falling painfully to the ground. The burning heat from the sand seared my skin, and the nails buried in the sand dug deeper into my body, tearing my skin with
every movement.
The snakes, sensing the blood, quickly encircled me. Panic surged as I realized there was nowhere left to retreat.
One of the snakes lunged at my exposed ankle, sinking its fangs deep into my flesh. The pain was unbearable, and I broke out into a cold sweat. The first bite was just the beginning–soon, a second and then a third snake joined in, wrapping themselves around me, biting
wherever they could.
The spots where they had bitten me started turning blue and purple, and my lips began to lose their color, turning pale in a way that was impossible to ignore.
The doctor on the helicopter quickly noticed the change in my condition. He rushed to speak:

“Sir, Mrs. Preston has been poisoned by the snake venom! We need to administer the antivenom immediately!”

The bodyguards quicidy followed his orders, using antivenom and snake–catching nets to remove the venomous snakes,
I lay on the ground, barely clinging to consciousness, my body a bruised and bloodied mess Aaron, ignoring Wendy’s frantic protests. rushed toward me, his face filled with a mix of guilt and anger.
At the same time, the doctor reached into his medical bag and pulled out the antivenom, his voice filled with urgency.
“Mr. Preston, since you insisted on using the snakes to teach your wife a lesson, I brought antivenom just in case,
Before the doctor could finish, Wendy Junged forward, snatching the antivenom from his hands.
“Let me help!” she said, her tone too eager.
But as she tried to take it from the doctor, she tripped, losing her grip on the vial The glass shattered as it hit the nearby rock, spilling the antivenom everywhere.
Aaron’s face contorted with fury.
