In the dimly lit room, all that could be heard were Emelia’s uncontrollable sobs. She felt like Nathan was going to drive her to death with his antics.
But she finally let go of her heart.
Five hours ago, she received a call from Nathan asking her to wait at home, but she waited and waited, but no one came.
But what came instead was an explosive piece of news.
Nathan, a foreman at the auction, was knocked unconscious and taken to the hospital. He was immediately admitted to the ICU and has not come out yet.
No one knew why he suddenly confronted a foreman, but some said it might have something to do with Katie.
Emelia panicked, to be honest, she had more than once doubted if Nathan. really didn’t like Katie.

She actually didn’t care who Nathan liked, as long as the person he married was herself.
She only wanted money, not love.

Could Nathan be so disgusted by her that he would actually go out and physically attack her himself?
Nathan was high and mighty, there were plenty of ways to deal with someone, but getting personally involved was the dumbest.
So Emelia had every reason to suspect that Nathan liked her and not just for her own sake. Would he suddenly realize his true feelings today and dump her, then turn to Katie for reconciliation.
She waited nervously for a long time, and finally the person she was waiting for arrived.
And his actions completely dispelled her thoughts. She had talked so much, saying that there were those who loved her enough to be willing to give their lives, but only Nathan would have a possessive obsession with her body.
She tiptoed into the bathroom, where Nathan was taking a shower. Sensing someone’s presence, he suddenly opened his eyes and asked, “Were you in that room all night?”
Emelia was initially confused, but quickly realized that Nathan was referring to the room they had stayed in together for the first time.
Emelia nodded, “Yeah, and besides, didn’t you come in by yourself?”
Nathan closed his eyes again, Emelia was right.
That night, he was feeling upset because of Katie, so he went to a not very famous bar alone, wanting to get drunk.
He unexpectedly ran into Emelia, who recognized him and they exchanged a few words.
After drinking too much, he was taken directly to the room upstairs by the waiter.

He didn’t know there was already someone in the room. When he wanted. to leave, he smelled a familiar and pleasant scent.
So he got drunk and he passed out.
That night, he, unusually, swept away the boredom in his heart. He felt it was the most comfortable day he had had in three years.
No one knew that for the past three years, he had been living in pain. every day.
When he woke up, the person next to him was Emelia, so without thinking, he decided to marry her.
However, recently, the comfortable feeling has become less and less frequent. He always feels like he has made a mistake, which is why he suddenly asked.
Emelia, however, said that it was her, and only her, that night.
Emelia was well–versed in the ways of men and women, and a few flirtatious gestures had Nathan hooked. He felt like the wedding needed. to be moved up.
