Chapter 18
He went back to many years ago, back to the time when Katie had not confessed to her yet. At that time, he had just taken over the company, with a lot of tricky things to deal with. However, he was just starting out and his abilities were not enough. He was always led by the nose by the old foxes in the company, but he didn’t get any useful information.
So he would come back very late every day, and most of the time, he would be smelling of alcohol.
But every day, his Katie would sit on the sofa like a well–behaved little cat, waiting for him to come back.
Whether she was forcing herself to drink coffee with her eyes wide open, or watching variety shows with a face mask on, or already with her mouth slightly open, emitting a soft snore, as soon as the sound of the door opening, the little girl would startle awake. A warm towel and a stomach- warming hangover tea were also prepared and handed over with both hands. In her eyes, there was a hint of pleasing concern, “Nate, you’re back.”
It was just for the sake of this daily reminder, Nate, Nathan also told himself that he couldn’t give up.
He also had to protect the little girl in his arms, living a carefree life.
But today, he found that the little girl seemed angry and didn’t want to
talk to him.
He hurried to catch up and wanted to ask what was wrong, if he had been too busy with work recently and didn’t have time to accompany her, making her angry.

The moment he bumped into the girl, the fragrance on her body drilled into his nostrils like a snake, also entwining his limbs. The sensation was The sensation was tingling and unbearable, but he couldn’t tell where exactly it itched.
So he kissed her recklessly, indulging in the moment, knowing that he had dreamt this a hundred times before.
His subconscious also told him that he shouldn’t do this, so he forced- himself to wake up and shouted out Emelia’s name.
The next second, he was hit by someone.
He just realized that the Katie in front of him seemed to be a different Katie from the one who used to affectionately call him Nate. There was no longing or admiration in her eyes, only fear and disgust.
Nathan finally woke up, realizing that everything that had just happened was not a dream, not his imagination, but a very real and existent situation where he almost forced himself on his sister.
He stumbled to his feet, disregarding his usual dignity and aloofness, and ran out as if escaping.
My mind was filled with only one thought, everything was in chaos.
Katie was just left here by him, with no explanation, no apology, he was. even more scared than herself.
But what was he afraid of again?
But soon, Katie realized that he was afraid of Emelia getting hurt, afraid that she would leave him if she found out.
But if they don’t say anything, who will know?
She was just publicly confessing her love to him, but was criticized by people in the circle for three whole years. Now that they are both

engaged, how could she possibly bring up this matter again at this time.
The next day, her speculation was confirmed as a message was being shared on all social media platforms, announcing that the wedding of Nathan, the president of the Morley Group, had been rescheduled to a week earlier.
When Nathan, who was originally not interested in women, suddenly decided to marry Emelia, the media extensively reported on their loving past. Now, they have compressed their one–month wedding schedule to just one week. Who wouldn’t envy this talented and beautiful couple?
Katie walked out of the bathroom, blushing all over. When she saw the message, she smiled. It’s good that he proposed early, the earlier she leaves.
She called Zane and said she wanted to accompany Owen to the wedding. They immediately flew abroad to get away from all the drama and people.
Zane knew she was soft–hearted and kind. If things were not handled well here, even if he left, he would always be worried.
Just as the two of them were making plans, an accident happened. Owen got into a conflict with Emelia, and in the midst of the argument, he ‘couldn’t catch his breath and passed out.
