Chapter 6
Aquamarine’s POV
My breathing hitched as my wolf stirred within me. I stared at Lycan Alexander as those words escaped his lips, and his eyes seemed to darken under the sunset.
“You will give me that.” He said again, staring at me as he stopped walking, his arms tightening around me, holding me securely against
his chest.
I didn’t know if it was an order or a threat. But it made me shudder in his touch.
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I realized I was still in his arms, partially naked and dependent on him. I gripped the cloak tightly against my chest, trying to cover myself, but it wasn’t doing much to calm my racing mind.
I opened my mouth to speak, but what could I say?
I made that promise to Fiona out of anger, and now I was trapped. But what would I rather do? There was no way I would let her put such accusations on me.
wasn’t barren. I hadn’t even laid with any man before, so why should I be scared?
But his demand for an heir caught me off guard. Wanting a child from me, out of all the ladies he had at his disposal? That was not something I had expected from him.
I had heard that he had a reputation for having powerful she–wolves at his feet, vying for his attention. Strong Alpha’s who gifted their daughters to him.
I risked a glance at him, my heart pounding loudly in my chest. Maybe he just said that to put me on the edge. Surely he must see that I’m not actually……. normal?
But his golden eyes seemed to stare past my soul as if daring me to back down on my promise. I looked away quickly, moistening my lips, and nodded frantically.
“Y–yes” I stammered, trying to avoid his monstrous glare. As he walked, I bounced gently in his arms, feeling a bit dizzy from the motion and the whole event today.
My father’s torture, Clinton’s betrayal and his rejection. But now, here I am in the arms of a new mate.
I saw a carriage approaching, and I knew it was for Lycan Alexander. Its arrival seemed almost perfectly timed. There was no point asking where we were headed. It had to be his pack.
Theriakon Pack.
“Lycan Alexander,” someone suddenly called out. I looked over his shoulder to see that it was the same man who had given him the cloak that covered my partially naked body.
He whispered something in Lycan Alexander’s ear that I couldn’t quite catch.
Lycan Alexander grunted lowly. He looked at me, and then his eyes went to the sky. His nose twitched as he closed his eyes; I stared up at him, confused.
What was he doing?
The cold evening breeze blew and I shivered, sinking further into Lycan Alexander’s arms. I used that opportunity to inhale his scent. It was still like before, no, it was even more intoxicating than before.”
But my comfort was short–lived when I felt his gaze on me and I pulled back, frightened.
Why did I allow my wolf to take control? I tried my best to fight the urge to bury my head in his neck and sniff him.
“Gather them here,” he ordered.
I wondered what he wanted to speak to them about, but shortly after, the pack began to gather outside. I saw my family standing beside Alpha Felix, and on the ground beside them lay Clinton, sull bleeding and unattended, just as Lycan Alexander instructed.
I was even beginning to wonder if he was really dead.

Chapter 61
The pack murmured among themselves, their faces pale with fear. I knew that they didn’t have the resources to pay back the debt, not
even in a year.
Or was it more than that? What exactly is the debt? Money? Resources? Slaves?
The Moonstone pack wasn’t poor, but Alpha Felix was a bit greedy, and I knew that Lycan Alexander was aware of that too.
As Lycan Alexander turned to face the crowd, I felt his chest rise and fall with each breath, his warmth seeping into my skin.
Then I remembered what he did to a whole pack last year. Would he do the same here? Wipe the Moonstone pack away from the surface of the earth.
But instead, he turned to me, “Call out a seamstress,” he ordered.
I blinked.
A seamstress? I stared at him confused. What would he need one for? Was that why he called all of them out? Over a mere seamstress? But I knew better than to ask him any questions.
I looked over to the crowd, each one of the members cowered in fear, and some were seemed to be glaring at me. Then my eyes landed on her.
even crying. My eyes met my father’s, who still
The best and only reliable seamstress in the pack, who would rather die than give me rags to wear. The seamstress who had thrown a needle at my feet. If Lycan Alexander wanted something, then she’d be the only one to make it.
I pointed at her, and she let out a blood–curdling scream, her eyes wide with fear, as she begged for mercy.
“Spare my life, please!” she cried, shaking uncontrollably. “I’ll do anything, just don’t kill me!“,
But I didn’t feel bad for her.
“Shut up and get her proper clothes!” Lycan Alexander barked at her. I looked down and gasped as I noticed the cloak I was wrapped in wasn’t doing enough justice to cover me properly.
No wonder he was staring at me those times. He was staring at my exposed breast and nipple.
As the woman scrambled away, I tried to cover up, but the only way to do that was to lean into Alexander’s hard frame with my chest. But there was no way I would bring myself to that, not with the way my nipples were hard.
I was careful enough not to press further, but he had other plans. His arms tightened around my waist, pulling my body further into his, like I was about to slip away.
I could finally feel his hard chest against my breast, and my body tensed as it felt my heart would soon explode from my chest. His chest was warm against mine, and I could feel his heartbeat steady and strong. And I was pretty sure he could feel and hear my heartbeat against his like an enraged drummer.
As I tried to steady my free hand on his shoulder properly, I felt the cloak go lower, exposing more of my skin. Lycan Alexander adjusted the cloak on me, but I looked away instantly, my cheek flushing in embarrassment,
What is happening to me? Why was I behaving like this for Goddess‘ sake? I shouldn’t feel attracted to him,
I swallowed hard, and I took in deep breaths, trying to calm the butterflies in my belly that shouldn’t be there.
It’s just the wolf bond. That’s all, nothing special, nothing more.
Suddenly, screams erupted from the crowd. He adjusted his hold on me, and warm liquid splashed over my bare back. I turned my head
at me,
