Chapter 17
Luna Aquamarine’s POV
A hand grasped my chin, lifting my face upward. I blinked, my eyes shifting from the gate to a pair of golden eyes staring at me.
I blinked multiple times before I realised it was Alexander.

“Answer me, Aquamarine,” he said, his voic
voice lo
low yet commanding.
“What?” I stammered, my gaze darting between Alexander and
gate.

“What are you planning?” Alexander’s eyes narrowed slightly as he studied my face.
. “N–nothing,” I stammered.
UP
Alexander’s grip on my chin tightened, he looked back at the gate and then looked back at me. “I’ll have you know that you can’t escape me,” he said, staring at my chest like the pervert he is.
I felt a gentle tug on my arm. Beside me, Kath, stood wide–eyed, staring at Alexander. I pulled her behind me and cleared my throat.
“Ly-“I paused and moistened my lips. “Primus Alexander, Juliet was taking Katherine and I on a tour as you suggested—””
“Juliet, take Katherine to her chambers.” Alexander cut me off. ” I’d like to believe you fed the Luna properly.” He asked.
Fear gripped me. I turned back, surprised to see Juliet standing behind me even though she had excused herself earlier. But she plainly avoided my gaze.
“She refused to eat until Katherine was present. But I suppose she’s fine to eat now.” Juliet replied and my heart broke.
I expected her to lie to him. But it was stupid of me to believe she would lie to Alexander just to support someone she barely knows.
Alexander’s jaw clenched as he watched me.
“Juliet,” he said, “have food sent to my study. We’ll dine there.”
Juliet nodded and walked away, dragging Katherine along with her.
Alexander wrapped his hand around my waist, holding tight as he led me back inside his castle.
As we walked, my mind was far gone. I looked back. Back at the gate, but there was no one there. It was almost like nobody was ever
there.
After numerous flights of stairs that led to another part of his castle. Alexander finally pushed open a metal door and I stepped inside, my eyes darting the room. It smelt of old papers and dust.
When we entered the study, the door slammed shut behind us and Alexander guided me toward a round table. His hand tracing the naked area of my back, sending a shiver down my spine.
Alexander’s eyes met mine and I felt like drowning in his. Even though I tried to avoid his gaze, he held me tight
“Time to put you to good use,” he said huskily and I swallowed hard.
He couldn’t possibly be thinking about sex after his animalistic behaviour last night, could he?
He stood close, his chest touching mine as his hand traced the outline of my neck up to my lips. I felt a spark at his touch,
My wolf whined within me as he leaned forward. I moistened my lips and I closed my eyes
Then I felt something poke my stomach. He was hard and I was already feeling wet
“Open and read it,” he commanded, his hot breath whispering against my ear.
My eyes flew open and I blinked
He raised something up. That thing that was once poking my stomach was now lifting my chin

I raised my brow up at him. Is he serious? It wasn’t about sex, after all. After making my

for him.
“Your reward comes after this,” he said, sitting down and pulling me down to sit on his lap. “If you do well.”
I stood up, “I’m not interested in what you have to offer.” I lied, my voice was barely above a whisper.
“Tell that to your wolf.” The corner of his lips lifted to a smirk and he closed his eyes. “Now, read.”

I felt heat rise to my cheek and I bit my lips. I stared at the thing in my hand. A dusty old scroll with weird engravings on it. How does he expect me to open a sealed scroll?
I pulled on the seal, tugging it gently at first. But when it didn’t work, I pulled on it some more.
“Don’t you know how to open it?” he suddenly asked.
“No,” I replied. “How would I be able to open something from your pack?”
T
My fingers traced the weird symbols on the body of the seal. At a glance, it’s quite obvious that a normal person can’t open it.
Can’t he see that? Or is this a test or something?
What about someone from your old pack? Katherine?” he asked.
I shook my head. I doubt Katherine knows. I doubt anyone in my pack knows anything. We didn’t have rare things like these.
“The inscriptions are not like ours.” I studied the pattern, then something popped into my mind. “Your witches could help with magic.”
His eyebrows twitched and I sensed something off about his mood instantly.
“You hate witches too don’t you?” I asked slowly, but he didn’t reply, he just stared at the scroll and at me. “But don’t you have one in your castle?”
His brows creased.
It could only mean that…… he doesn’t know about Juliet. But that doesn’t make sense, not with everything I’ve witnessed since I met him.
“But the purple fire that day? Wasn’t it magic? By a witch?” I asked.
“No, it’s just fire,” he waved it off.
“Lies. This was different, it didn’t burn. It was cold against my skin. Just like—” I paused, trying to think of a better way to describe it. “It was like ice. Purple flaming Ice.”
“Beautiful wasn’t it.” He grinned, looking up for a moment then his eyes came down to face me. “But it’s still not magic.”
I groaned, why can’t he just admit it? “What about those vines that attacked us twice?”
“It’s just a vine wielder,” he replied.
My eyes widened in shock and I gasped. “Vine wielders? I thought they were myths.”
Alexander raised an eyebrow, “Of course not. Weren’t you taught about tales of mystic creatures in your pack?”
“I wasn’t particularly allowed to gatherings.” I murmured, remembering how badly I was treated in my old pack. “Although, I managed to sneak in during sessions.”
Alexander hummed, “What other beings do you know aside from werewolves?”
“I’ve heard tales about Demons… Nightwalkers”
“Nightwalkers?” he asked, his brows creased as he stared at me I could tell he didn’t know about them
Soo much for being legendary
I cleared my throat, pushed my chest out and continued “You know those beings that flee from the sunlight and suck on people’s bi
“They are called Vampires, Aquamarine.” He cut me off and sighed. “You know nothing about the world you live in.”

That was true.
But I was curious to know more about other beings, especially after meeting him and coming here.
That vine, the face, the voice. It was still stuck in my head. It knew Alexander, but he didn’t seem to care.
Suddenly, I felt him grab my hand. I gasped as he pulled me down to his body, my breasts resting against his chest and my legs in between him.
I felt his bulge underneath me, for real this time.
But amidst the growing arousal I couldn’t help but wonder why he was trying to distract me from asking more questions?
As his hand traced the curve of my bare back, he stared at me and I shivered in his touch–but not because of my wolf.
His aura, it had shifted again.
“So Aquamarine, I’ll give you the grace to choose your punishment.”
“Punishment? For what?” I was confused.
For not opening the scroll.” he muttered, burying his face in between my breasts.
“B–but you saw for yourself that I couldn’t—“.
“Rogiara would suit you and Katherine best.” he pulled back, grabbed a fistful of my hair and sniffed it before staring at me with his glowing eyes half closed. “Don’t you think so?”
Rogiara. It sounded soo familiar but I couldn’t quite put a finger on it.
There was a sudden knock on the door, “Primus Alexander, Elder Esmeralda seeks your attention.”
Alexander pulled me up and walked towards the door. He stopped at the half–opened door.
“And Aquamarine, you have I weck to find a way to open that scroll or else I swear by the Moon Goddess that you’ll seek death but it will be far away from you.”
My eyes went wide and my jaw went slack.
