Chapter 436
Sienna was taken aback for a moment. She understood why Cedric was asking this. It was probably because she and Josiah seemed to be getting along too well___
“We haven’t reconciled Sienna s
shook her head, sighing softly with a hint of amusement in her voice. “We’ve just reached an understanding”
“An understanding!” Cedric furrowed his brow, trying to process the word. Disbelief and joy warred within him. “You mean you’re not back Together?”
“Yes.” Sienna nodded, laughing lightly. “That’s right”
Cedric was both surprised and overjoyed. The weight that had been lunging over his heart for days finally lifted.
He thought that after Sienna learned what Josiah had done for her, she would change her mind… But she didn’t, which meant that he still had a
chance.
Cedric suppressed the joy surging within him. He had to restrain himself. Joyce was still in the hospital, and he had promised Sienna that he would
wait for her.
“Cedric… called our Sienna.
“Sienna, called Cedric at the same time.
Sienna chuckled. “Why don’t you go first?”

Cedric was hardly able to contain his joy as he offered, “Well… I was wondering where you were headed and if I could give you a
Right then, the elevator stopped at the underground garage level.
“That’s okay, I drove over today. Sienna, smiling, shook her head and pointed toward her car
The light in Cedric’s gaze dimmed as he mumbled, “Is that so…
Sienna smiled as she took out her car keys. Tm headed to finish up the dubbing for my drama. It’s more convenient to what time I’ll be done.”
“That’s true” Gedric sighed.
“My car is

Cedric pointed in the opposite direction. “Mine is over there.”
“Let’s say goodbye here then suggested Sienna.
“Okay, goodbye, mumbled Cedric,
Sienna turned and trotted over to her car.
drive since I’m not sure
Cedric gazed at her retreating figure and didn’t leave immediately. He could sense that Sienna was still keeping her distance. However, it didn’t matter. He had all the patience in the world for the one he loved
As Sienna found her car, got in, and drove off, she sighed in relief. She could sense that Cedric was still waiting for her. Right now, she only considered him as a friend and nothing more. Something she had told him before.
Sienna started wondering. “Maybe I should find another opportunity to talk to him about it. But what if he persists? If it were anyone else, I wouldn’t mind throwing hurtful words at them, but Cedric’s different.
“Even while being adamant in his wishes, he was always polite and restrained, knowing his limits. He neither pressures nor pesters me to the point of annoyance
In the inpatient building, after punting Joyce to sleep, Josiah leaned back on the couch as he dealt with his work on his laptop.
Just then, his phone on the table vibrated. He picked it up, glanced at it, and hung up before following up with a text message.
He texted: [It’s not convenient to answer the plane right now. I won’t be back to Silver Beach for the next half a month. Take care of yourself, and contact Zach if you need anything.1
The other side replied quickly: [Are you at the hospital!|

Josiah was momentarily stunned before replying concisely: [Yes]
The other person texted back: [Got it.]
The conversation ended there.
On the other end of the line. Yvette held her phone tightly, her lips curling into a sneer. She was already aware of Josiah and Sienna’s daughter.
She deduced it easily from the fact Josiah had even returned to the Evans Family, a place he had vowed never to set foot in again just for their sake.
Even Andy’s attempts to persuade Josiah using Hailey i
y proved futile. This was proof enough of how important Sienna and Joyce were to Josiah
A sharp glint flashed across Yvette’s eyes, and she muttered under her breath, “I guess having a child is truly remarkable.”
It was the same with Rosie and Sienna. They captivated their men with their children. Of course, the men themselves weren’t exactly innocent either.
Both Howard and Josiah were the same,‘ she thought hatefully. Then what about me? Did I mean nothing to them! Back then, they had both vowed to cherish me forever!
The following day, Sienna arrived at the hospital with the soup Tara had made before it was even seven.
As she pushed the door open, Josiah was just coming out of the room.
“You are up early” Sienna smiled and pointed to the bag in her hand. “I brought breakfast. Have some before leaving
“That’s alright” Josiah gulped before shaking his head. “I have an international video conference early this morning, so I have to go now.”
“Is that so…” Sienna smiled. “Then I won’t keep you. You should get to work.
“Okay“Josiah nodded and picked up his suit jacket from the couch, I’m off. I’ll be back tonight.”
“Okay. Take care,” said Sienna.
“Sienna Josiah stared at her face, his brows furrowed, seeming as if he wanted to say something
Sienna raised her eyebrows and looked at him questioningly.
“It’s nothing” Josiah shook his head with difficulty, gritted his teeth, and turned to leave.
He opened the door of the inpatient building, walked out of the ward, and entered the elevator. It wasn’t until the elevator doors closed that he let out a long breath
Heaven knew what he was about to ask. He wanted to ask if her date with Cedric last night was fun or if things were going well between them.
Josiah closed his eyes abruptly, wondering bisterly. What should I do? I’m so jealous of Cedric that I feel like I’m going crazy. Guess I’m not nearly as capable of letting go as I’d imagined. I’m such a petty person…
For a moment, Josiah even had the wicked thought that it would be better if things didn’t work out between them…
After breakfast with Joyce, Sienna promised to watch an episode of cartoon with her.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
The caregiver pushed the door open and said, “Mx Shaw, someone is here to see you.”
Sienna stood up quickly and wondered, Who could it be forthe caregiver to give such importance? “Please, ask them to come in…” started Sienna, and before she could finish her sentence, the visitor entered.
“Howard,” exclaimed Sienna, slightly startled to see Howard and Bobby, standing before her. She hadn’t expected them
Howard hummed and gave a slight nod in response as he looked down at Hobby.
Hobby understood Howard’s look. He walked up to Sienna, stood straight, and greeted, “Hello, Aunt Sienna, I’m Hobby”
Sienna was the adopted daughter of the Flynn family, so Hobby was right in calling her that. As it was, this was actually the first time Sienna had forunally met lobby.

Bobby gave her the impression of being a mature child, very
“Hello, Robby,” Sienna smiled warmly and bent down to rub Bobby’s head. It was hard not to like such a handsome and well–behaved child.
Bobby pouted before turning toward the hospital bed.
On the bed, Joyce blinked her big, doe eyes, looking curiously at Howard, then at Hobby.
“Are you Joyce?” Bobby walked to the bedside, his round checks slightly flushed pink.
Daddy did say he was bringing me to see Ausst Sienna and Joyce, but he didn’t mention how beautiful Joyce was, thought Bobby excitedly.
“Yes,” Joyce blinked her big eyes and nodded.
My name is Bobby,”
Having Joyce staring at him made Bobby blush even more as he blurted, “Hello, Joyce. My man
