Chapter 176
Silence returned. Josiah looked at Sienna in his arms. Her eyes were tightly shut, and the comers were red, still glistening with tears. He couldn’t help but wonder if she was crying out of instinct or for another guy, and the latter made his expression turn icy.
“Let’s get out of the car. He released her and got out first. Then he walked around to the passenger side and leaned over to lift her out
For a moment, Sienna shivered in his arms. He noticed and frowned, “What’s wrong“”
Sienna shook her head, not saying a word.
But Josiah pretty much guessed it. He had just lost control and been too rough–it might have hurt her. He quickened his pace, carrying her from the garage back to the main bedroom, and laid her on the bed.
He reached out to tidy her messy long hair, but she turned her face aside to avoid him. He paused, pulling back his hand awkwardly. After a moment, he said. “You rest for a bit. I’ll go run the bath. He got up and headed to the bathroom
As the sound of water began. Sienna opened her eyes, red and tear–filled. Fearing Josiah might come out at any moment, she threw off the covers. got out of bed, and rushed to the door, pulling it open to leave.
Josiah filled the tub, went to the closet to get pajamas, and put them in the bathroom. Then he came back, planning to pick Sienna up
“Sienna, wash…” He had just sat down and was about to lift the covers when suddenly he jerked upright, a cold sweat breaking out over him. He raised his arm and threw back the blanket–the bed was empty, and Sienna was nowhere to be seen.
“Sienna?” Josiah quickly checked the whole room–she was not there. He rushed out and searched all over Silver Beach, but she still wasn’t anywhere to be found.
Where could she have gone! Josiah picked up his phone and called her. Almost instantly, he heard the ringtone. Looking around, he spotted her bag on the living room sofa, and her phone was inside it
He then noticed that her coat was still there, and her shoes were at the entrance–the only thing missing was a pair of indoor slippers. So, Sienna went out wearing just a light sweater and slippers? he thought.
Instantly, panic and regret washed over Josiah ‘She didn’t even have her phone with her. These days, a phone is essential. Without it, she could get into trouble!
He closed his eyes and pressed his fingers against his forehead, feeling irritated as he rubbed it.
He had lost control just now in the car. But then he quickly realized that nothing had happened between Sienna and man with a girlfriend, and he could tell just by holding her if something had occurred
Cedric last night. He was a
He was the one who misunderstood Sienna. But back then, he was really blinded by anger. After that, he couldn’t control himself at all
Years ago, he wasn’t interested in that stuff. But now, he found himself losing control easily around Sienna. Plus, she had kept insisting he wasn’t as good as Cedric That just made him angrier, and then everything spiraled out of control.
Sienna is right. I’m really a jerk. But that’s not important now. The most important thing at the moment is to find her, Josiah thought to himself.
He quickly went to the study and accessed the house surveillance. He saw that Sienna had left less than twenty minutes ago–dressed only in a sweater, she was hunched over, running out the gate
Josiah closed his eyes tightly in shock. “Where could Sienna go? She doesn’t have any close friends in Jelacrity. She must have returned to 12th Avenue, he thought, and without delay, he picked up his car keys and drove into the snowy weather,
Soon, he arrived at the apartment Sienna used to rent on 12th Avenue. He pounded on the door, speaking in a soft, pleading voice, “I messed up, Sienna. Please, just open the door, okay?”
But no matter how hard he knocked or how much he apologized, there was no response from inside. He assumed she must be really angry.
An annoyed neighbor from next door opened their door, looking frustrated. “Could you stop knocking! No one’s living there, so why are you even bothering?
Josiah was stunned. “What! No one l
one lives there? How could that b
“The tenant moved out a while ago, and it hasn’t been rented since. Who are you trying to reach? You two d don’t seem that close if you didn’t even know she doesn’t live here anymore” The neighbor studied him mockingly and then shut the door.
Josiah stood there in shock. ‘Sienna has moved out? How could that be? She didn’t tell me anything. Where could she have gone?

Chapter 176
After leaving the apartment, Josiah contacted property management and Zach. By the time he returned to Silver Beach, the management had retrieved the surveillance footage
The footage showed Sienna getting into a taxi at the estate’s entrance. Unfortunately, it only captured the first few digits of the license plate, not all
of them.
Zach. Josiah called.
“Yes, Mr. Flynn.” Zach understood quickly. “Tll get someone to track it down. Knowing the car’s color, model, and the first few digits of the plate was somewhat of a useful lead
Josiah also figured he needed to speak with Sienna’s colleagues from the dance troupe. She hadn’t been back in Jeiacrity for long and didn’t have
many friends
“Wait she has a close friend at the troupe, someone named Rosie. When she was avoiding Cedric, she stayed at her place… right, City Pearl, Josiah thought
Right away, he drove to City Pearl. However, Rosie wasn’t home. At this time, she was at the dance troupe, and just like everyone else there, she hadn’t met Sienna.
Josiah was puzzled. Where else could Sienna go? In Jelacrity, she doesn’t have any other connections. She came to the Flynn family as an orphan. and now she’s the only one left in her entire family!
Suddenly, he remembered Cedric, who was the person Sienna trusted the most in Jeiacrity. Even though Josiah didn’t want to admit it, it was t truth.
the
‘Would Sienna go to him! Josiah thought. With no time to waste, he decided to head to Cedric’s place. According to Yosef’s info, Cedric hadn’t been home lately. Since he returned, he had been staying in a villa at Lion’s Bay
Josiah!” Cedric opened the door. Seeing Josiah’s dark face, he was taken aback. “What’s he doing here?
Josiah glanced at him and said nothing. He walked straight inside, checking around the place, even planning to head upstairs.
Seems like he’s looking for something? Cedric thought, grabbing him. “What are you doing?”
“You’re stopping me? What’s upstairs?” Josiah looked upstairs, feeling conflicted. He both hoped Sienna was there and hoped she wasn’t. He didn’t want her to be in danger, but he also didn’t want her safety to depend on Cedric,
“What I don’t
get what you mean: Cedric was completely confused.
Zach, who had been at the entrance, answered a call and then said, “Mr. Flynn, we have news about Sienna.”
