Chapter 182
With a soft sigh. Howard said, “Josiah didn’t behave well, and I’ll deal with him for you. Let’s he
Let’s head home, alright?”
Sienna paused. With Howard speaking, how could she refuse? Moreover, she couldn’t sever ties with Josiah just y
Howard tumed to Josiah, frowned, and said firmly. This is the first and last time. Listen carefully. If you make Sienna cry again, there’s no need for her to ask me. I’ll step in to separate you two. Even if Grandma pleads, it won’t change anything.”
Josiah was caught off guard, his expression tightening. He knew Howard well–while he appeared gentle, underneath he was firm and aloof, always sticking to his word, Josiah bowed his head and earnestly assured I won’t. Don’t worry.”
After a long moment, Howard gave a nod to Josiah. Then he turned his wheelchair and left first. “Tervey, let’s go.”
“Yes, Mr. Howard Flynn.” Hervey replied.
Josiah carefully held Sienna’s hand and brought it to his lips. “Come back with me, alright? How could you possibly live well here?”
All of a sudden, Sienna felt completely drained. She was already hurt and sick, and a wave of frustration and anger hit her like a cold tide. It weighed heavily on her heart and left her feeling weak all over.
She closed her eyes, resigning herself to the situation. She couldn’t get rid of him. Once Joyce returned from her injection and he encountered Joyce, it would be a disaster
Josiah bent down and carefully picked her up. “Let’s go home.”
Once outside the building, snow was falling. Suddenly, Sienna struggled in Josiah’s arms, hitting him forcefully. “Put me down”
“What’s wrong!” Worried she’d hurt herself, Josiah had to put her down but didn’t let go, still holding her close.
Sienna leaned on his shoulder, gazing towards the southeast quietly. Following her line of sight, Josiah narrowed his eyes cautiously as he noticed Cedric too
Cedric stepped out of the silver–gray Pagani. The exhaustion from the past few days made his limp silently mouthed, “Sienna, how are you!”

With that, she quickly looked away. She wasn’t sure if Cedric understood her, but she couldn’t look at him any longer–even one more glance would only harm him more.
“Josiah Sienna grabbed Josiah’s arm.
“I’m here,” Josiah replied softly.
Sienna said, “I’m so cold.”

Josiah immediately took off his coat and p he held her tigluly.
“Once we’re in the car, you won’t feel cold. It’s just a few steps. Hang in there,” he said, holding her protectively as he helped her into the car. Even after all the cars had driven away, Cedric stood still, watching the direction in which the Bentley disappeared.
He understood what Sienna meant. She said she was okay! Should I really believe that? But seeing how thoughtful Josiah is with her, maybe it’s
Cedric thought he should be happy for Sienna. Yes, he lowered his gaze and murmured sadly, “But what if I can’t forget you!”
In the car, Josiah held Sienna in silence. He had noticed the that, and he thought she hadn’t gutten over Cedric yet.

O
Howard looked up and happened to see Rosie outside the car window. She was trying to catch the bus, but there were so many people that she kept getting shoved aside over and over.
After a while, Howard instructed, “Hervey, drive over there”
“Okay.” Following instructions. Hervey parked the car in front of Rosie and rolled down the window. “Ms. Miller, hop in. Mr. Howard Flynn asked me to give you a ride.”
Rosie tucked her hair behind her car, laughed awkwardly, and shook her head. “Thank him, but no need
o thank him, get in and tell
“I’m not your messenger. It’s not my jobs to pass along messages. Hervey gestured toward the backseat. “If you want to him yourself.
“What? Does this mean I have no choice but to get

the car? Rosie was taken aback.
“Hurry up.” Hervey urged. “This is a bus lane. We can’t stop here. Mr. Howard Flynn’s being considerate. Do you want him to get a ticket from the traffic cops?”
“What the hell? Rosie thought, but somehow, she was convinced by this ridiculous reasoning and got into the car. Once it started moving, she felt completely uneasy.
Howard sat quietly beside her, not saying a word. Yet, his presence was so strong that it was impossible to ignore.
“What should I do? Rosie touched her neck, her throat fr
feeling incredibly dry while a thin layer of sweat broke out on her back.
“Where to?” Howard suddenly turned to her and asked.
“Huh?” Rosie was taken aback, stammering, T–The City Pearl.”
“Alright.” Howard nodded and told Hervey, “Did you catch that!”
“Yes, Mr. Howard Flynn, Hervey replied.
Howard then leaned back, and the car went silent once more.
Rosie sat up straight, too scared to move a muscle. After what felt like a long, tough journey, they finally arrived.
The car came to a stop, and Rosie immediately said, “I’m here. Thanks for the ride.” She turned, opened the car door, and jogged into the apartment
Howard watched as she left, his eyes scanning the entrance. She lives here! In such a shabby place? Her financial situation must not be good, he thought. But just for a moment, he looked away and said calmly, “Let’s go.”
Back at Silver Beach, Josiah carried Sienna from the garage to the
e master bedroom and gently laid her on the bed.
“You have a fever,” he said. On the way, he had already felt her forehead, and it was still hot. “Til call a doctor…
Sienna grabbed his arm, refusing. “No, I don’t want to take any medicine
Josiah coaxed her. “Be good. Let the doctor have a look. You don’t need to take medicine. But if it’s serious, I can’t just let it be
He then picked up his phone to contact the doctor and also called the hour servant to prepare some nutritious food for her.
Not long after, Josiala’s family doctor arrived. The doctor examined Sienna and treated her. “It’s just a mild fever from a chill. The cut on your hand isn’t deep, it doesn’t need stitches. I’ve cleaned and bandaged it. Just be careful not to get it wet. Also…
The doctor glanced at Josiah, feeling a bit uncomfortable. “Mr. Flynn, she’s a girl after all, and her stamina can’t compare to a man’s. You might want to go easy on certain activities.
After saying this, the doctor began to sweat, right with his conscience. The doctor took a medicine box out of his kit. “Mr. Flynn, you should apply this for her.”
Telling his employer something like that took a lot of courage, but not saying anything wouldn’t sit
Josiah fell silent. What does he mean? Is it what I’m thinking?
