Chapter 219
After a moment of silence, Howard sighed and said, “Of course, I do. Alright, let’s… get married.”
Yvette was momentarily shocked, and then tears overflowed from her eyes. Howard moved closer, took her hand, and gently said, “Please don’t cry… I have no one but you.”
Yvette asked, “Is that true?”
“Absolutely.”
Miranda clapped her hands in delight, exclaiming, “Wonderful! We’re going to have a joyful wedding.”
Not only was Miranda thrilled, but Josiah was excited too. When he returned to Silver Beach, he could hardly contain his happiness.
Sienna looked at him, confused. “Why are you so happy about their marriage?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Josiah replied. “My brother and Yvette have been friends since childhood; they’ve always promised to be together for life.”
Sienna pondered, What about you? You seem to have feelings for Yvette. Wouldn’t you feel a bit jealous? Can you really love her so selflessly that her happiness alone brings you joy?‘
“What are you thinking?” Josiah realized what was on her mind. He playfully tapped her forehead. “Are you overthinking again? I’ve told you many times—my relationship with Yvette is pure, yet you refuse to believe it.”
Sienna didn’t trust him, but what confused her more was her intuition that this marriage might not really happen. The events around Yvette’s miscarriage four years ago and Howard’s questionable faithfulness hung heavily.
Despite Sienna’s worries, the engagement between Howard and Yvette was firmly in place. As the eldest grandson, Howard was expected to continue living at the Flynn residence after the marriage.
He didn’t need to move out; he just needed to reorganize the current room.
When it came to the wedding, Miranda insisted everything be done to fit Yvette’s taste. After all, the ceremony was mainly for the bride, so making her happy was the most important thing.
Sienna was a bit surprised to hear that Yvette had asked for wedding gown designs online.
The Flynn family could easily afford a top designer, and since Yvette had a good reputation in the entertainment industry, they could have even gotten sponsorships from luxury brands.
But instead, she wanted to invite designs from the public and pick her favorite.
Even before the actual wedding plans were set, news of her upcoming marriage to Howard was already making waves in Jeiacrity, becoming quite the sensation.
Sienna couldn’t help but feel this was Yvette’s way of provoking someone–most likely the “other person” Yvette suspected Howard was involved with.
At noon, Sienna had lunch with Rosie, who also heard about the wedding. “Howard is going to marry her?” Rosie couldn’t help but scoff because she had a history with Yvette.
“That’s right. They simply fell for each other, Sienna confirmed.
Rosie curled her lips. “I guess it’s an odd match made in heaven.”
Sienna laughed at the remark. “Everyone has their own tastes, I suppose.”
“Exactly Rosie whispered, “You know, I also entered that gown design competition.”
Sienna was surprised. You entered the gown design competition?”
Rosie nodded, amused by Sienna’s reaction. “You haven’t forgotten what I do for a living, have you?” Rosie was studying fashion design but was still pretty unknown in the industry.
Sienna voiced her concern, “Aren’t you worried Yvette might come after you?”
“Sure, but I don’t care; I want to give it a shot.” Rosie pouted. “It’s a great chance! What if they actually like my design? I could become famous

overnight”
“That’s true.” Sienna nodded. “In the end, it’s about the quality of the work. Even if she does turn against you, you won’t lose much”
“Exactly,” Rosie replied, beaming with envy. “You can’t deny Yvette is lucky. The Flynn family is at the top in Jeiacrity! And Howard… he’s pretty
handsome”
“Hmm!” Sienna was intrigued. “You’ve met him?”
“Of course” Rosie reminded her, “Remember when you and Josiah had that fight: Howard also came to Sunshine Neighborhood; be even drove me home.” She reflected and added. “He is strikingly charming!”
Sienna made another trip to the hospital for fertility medication, arranged through Hannah’s connections
Feeling a bit disheartened after not getting pregnant last time, Sienna said to the doctor. “I followed your advice, but I still didn’t get pregnant
“Stay calm,” the doctor advised. “Pregnancy often takes time. Taking the medication doesn’t guarantee conception”
Sienna understood, but she was still anxious. The doctor asked, “Do you want another prescription?TM
Yes.”
Unaware of her deeper reasons, the doctor said kindly, “You’re still young there’s no need to put so much pressure on yourself. This medication shouldn’t be taken continuously; using it too much can have bad effects on your health?
Hannah had also mentioned this, but Sienna felt comered. “I see; thank you for your concern.”
With persuasion failing, the doctor handed her the prescription. “If you feel nauseous or dizzy, be sure to rest.”
“Alright.”
That evening, when Josiah returned to Silver Beach, Sienna greeted him with a big smile. “You’re back.” She wrapped her arms around him tightly. Josiah took this as a sign.
He held her delicate waist with one hand and lifted her chin with the other, leaning down to kiss her. It felt almost uncontrollable, but he still remembered to ask “Are you okay! Is this alright?”
“Mm.” She nodded
And so, they went upstairs. Tonight. Sienna was more passionate than usual, Josiah held her close, unable to hide his delight. “What’s gotten into you today?”
“What do you mean!” Sienna played dumb.
Josiah nestled into the nape of her neck, laughing softly. “After all this time, you must be missing me, right?”
Sienna closed her eyes and stayed silent.
“I know without you saying anything” Josiah held her tightly. “Sienna, you’ve started to like me, haven’t you?”
Sienna didn’t know how he came to that conclusion. Im so happy” Josiah added.
He thought. “Isn’t it said that men and women are different? A woman who doesn’t like a man wouldn’t take the initiative in intimacy!
As Josiah thought about this, he couldn’t help but chuckle, “You almost swallowed me just now.” That was the proof of her feelings for hir
Sienna didn’t know how he interpreted her actions, but if she had known, she would have snapped back–women can also be forward for reasons other than love. For instance, the longing for a child.
In the bathroom, Sienna took the lead again, Josiah thought, And the still denies her feelings for me?
The next morning, at the breakfast table, Sienna peeled an egg, took out the yolk, and offered it to Josiah, who instinctively accepted it–Sienna didn’t eat the yolk herself. After Josiah swallowed, he asked. “So, we’re not working this weekend, right?”
Sienna nodded, confirming the dance troupe was off for the weekend.
“Let’s plan a date then, Josiah said.
