Chapter 295
Sienna had a Minnie Mouse hairpin in her hair. She had been busy at home, taking care of Joyce. They shared meals and slept together. She hadn’t even noticed when Joyce had put the hairpin in her hair. However, Josiah noticed it clearly.
It was the size of a girl’s thumbnail, decorated with white diamonds, and the bow was a bright red. It looked just like the pair he had given to Joyce.
Did Sienna just buy this? I have never seen her wear it before. He turned around, ready to enter the hospital room. He had not seen Joyce in a while and wondered how she was doing. He hoped her treatment for aplastic anemia was going well.
Josiah caught the doorknob and stopped suddenly. Memories flashed in his mind. He thought about where else he had seen Joyce, aside from the hospital and the park near Sunshine Neighborhood.

He remembered arguing with Sienna, and how she had run out of Silver Beach crying, nearly approached by a creepy driver.
He had found Sienna in Sunshine Neighborhood. That day, he had seen Joyce in the elevator there. Minnie Mouse hairpin, Sunshine Neighborhood. Joyce, Sienna…
Josiah pondered, Is it just a coincidence? If not, what connections are there between them?”
Josiah grabbed his phone to call Zach. With a frown, he said seriously, “Please go to TecMall, where I bought a pair of Minnie Mouse hairpins. Find
out how many pairs have been sold and get the buyers‘ information.”
“Got it, Mr. Flynn.”
After hanging up. Josiah looked out the window, lost in thought. “Josiah.” Howard arrived and called out,
“Howard!” Josiah exclaimed when he saw him. “You’re just in time; stay with Grandma, I need to leave for a while!”
“Wait!” Howard held Josiah’s arm, looking worried. “What’s going on between you and Sienna? Have you hurt her again! I’ve to
told you…
“Howard. I’ll talk to you later; I really don’t have time right now! I have to go!” Josiah interrupted, his mind full of things he needed to understand. He had no time to explain
Josiah“” Howard couldn’t stop his brother, who quickly walked away
Josiah drove towards Sunshine Neighborhood. He knew Sienna’s address there. After picking her up the first time, he hadn’t gone back to her apartment since it felt awkward. After all, Sienna was living with a single mom and her child.
Josiah tightened his grip on the steering wheel and sped up. When he arrived at Sunshine Neighborhood, he went straight to Sienna’s apartment. Standing in front of her door, he pressed the doorbell. However, no one answered.
Worried, he kept ringing the bell and knocking. “Sienna! Sienna” But no one responded. In despair, Josiah suddenly remembered he had seen Joyce in the park. He rushed toward the park.
The park was lively with elderly people exercising, children playing, and couples on dates. Josiah, out of breath, looked around for any sign of Joyer. He couldn’t find her. Just then, he spotted a familiar figure–Tara, Joyce’s nanny.
“Tara!” Josiah hurried over to her.
“Mr. Flynn?” Tara, sitting on a stone bench knitting, stood up in surprise. “What brings you here?”
“Where’s Joyce?” he paused, then added. “And her mom?”
Tara looked confused but pointed in a direction. “Joyce’s mom took her to the dessert shop over there
“Thank you!” Josiah hurried toward the dessert shop. He stopped across the street, watching as the door to the dessert shop swung open, A boy came out, followed by a young woman holding a rosy–checked girl.
It was Joyer. She was hugging the young woman’s neck, planting a kiss on her cheek. Then she shyly buried her face in her shoulder, murmuring something. The woman laughed, gently patting Joyce’s back and whispering something in her ear
The bond between them was clear and lying. Josial’s eyes focused on the woman’s face. He saw clearly–it was not the familiar one he knew. He realized Joyce’s mom was not Sienna,
He chuckled, rubbing his forehead. He thought, ‘How could I have ever believed that Joyce was Sienna’s daughter? I’ve overthought this Looking away from the young woman, Josiah walked back to his car parked by the roadside. As soon as he got inside, his phone buzzed. Zach was calling. “Mr. Flym, besides you, there are two other buyers. I’ve sent their info to your phone.”
“Alright” After ending the call, Josiah checked his phone. Zach had sent the buyer information, which showed two names he didn’t recognize- neither belonged to Sienna.
Frowning, Josiah wondered where Sienna’s hairpin had come from. Just as he was about to start the engine, his gaze caught something once more.
The dessert shop’s door opened again. This time, the familiar face he recognized appeared–Sienna, her lips curved into a smile, her hair tied in a loose bun, still wearing the Minnie Mouse hairpin
She nodded at Seth’s mom, who was holding Joyce.
“Joyce is such a good girl, unlike Seth, who’s always causing trouble!”
“Seth is so cute; kids should be lively and energetic like him!”
The two chatted, and Joyce jumped into Sienna’s arms. “Mommy! Sienna laughed, bending down to catch her safely in her arms.
“Mommy!” Joyce pouted, showing a hint of displeasure. “Am I not good enough? Do you like Seth more!”
Sienna and Seth’s mom exchanged glances before breaking into laughter. Leaning closer to her daughter’s ear, Sienna whispered, “Mommy loves you the most, don’t you know that?”
“I know!” Joyce exclaimed, her face lighting up as she snuggled into her mom’s embrace. “And I love you the most too!”
