Chapter 299
Sienna pulled her hand back, her delicate lashes fluttering. Then I’ll await your news.
“Alright” Josiah’s gaze darkened as he also withdrew his hand, turning his drink in thoughtful silence. “Sienna, may 1… meet Joyce?”
They both knew this meeting was different from any past meetings. He wanted to recognize her as his daughter
Π
Sienna smirked, not surprised at all, as she had prepared herself for this. “Josiah, Joyce and I are used to our life now. In our world, it’s just us… Do you understand?
The answer he expected Josiah nodded, bitterness rising in his throat. Tunderstand.” He had missed out on every important moment in Joyce’s life. Sienna’s refusal to let him acknowledge his daughter was predictable.
Also.. Sienna sipped her tea and added. “Please don’t tell Grandma anything about Joyce”
Miranda valued family ties above all. If she learned about Joyce, she would surely try to bring Joyce into the Flynn family, maybe even try to fix things between Josiah and herself. Sienna wanted to avoid any trouble.
“Very well” Josiah frowned and replied seriously, “I know what to do
“Thank you” Sienna smiled gratefully.
Josiah’s heart felt heavy with bitterness, making it hard for him to smile. He took a card from his pocket and placed it in front of Sienna.
“What’s this Sienna asked, confused.
“It’s my supplementary card.”
Without thinking. Sienna shook her head. “I don’t need it. You’ve already given me enough.”
But Josiah insisted. “That was for you; this is for Joyce… for her care. As Joyce’s dad, I have a duty to support her.
Sienna opened her mouth, momentarily at a loss for words, Josiah urged her, “Take it; this card has no limit.”
“Alright! Sienna hesitated for a moment before accepting the card.
After wrapping up their conversation, they left the cafe, and Josiah walked Sienna to her apartment building. Thank you” she said, unbuckling her seatbelt and reaching for the door.
= “Sienna,” Josiah suddenly called.
“Yes?” Sienna turned to look at him.
Josiah frowned, struggling to find the right words. He took a deep breath and blurted. “Do you hate me?”
Sienna studied him for a moment before responding. “If I said I don’t hate you, would you believe me?” Her sarcasm was clear.
Josiah swallowed hard, there was no doubt that Sienna did hate him.
“What does hate matter! It serves no purpose” Sienna’s gaze lingered on his pale face, her laughter cold. “We are Joyce’s parents, let’s just interact as that
Because of Joyce’s health, their paths would cross. For Joyce’s sake, they needed to at least be civil with each other. “Tm leaving Sienna waved her hund and hurried inside the building.
Josiah sat quietly in the car, murmuring softly, “For Joyce… Sienna, what about you! After all these years of hatred and resentment, how will you ever find prace!”
The next day. Sienna got a message from Josiah. I’ve contacted the doctor, I’ll send you the address and contact details. Please take Joyce there
Komorrow.
Sienna: Okay. Thank you.]

Chapter 200
Josiah laughed cynically to himself. His life had become a mess–things couldn’t get any worse. Sienna was only thanking him for Joyce
After breakfast, Sienna dressed Joyer in her warm outfit and carried her out. Tara followed behind, carrying a bag full of things for Joyce. Thanks to Josiah’s plans, they faced no wait at the hospital and were quickly brought in to see the doctor.
Xenon, a top expert in blood disorders, examined Joyce. After the check–up, Tara took Joyce to play in the garden while Xenon chatted with Sienna and the previously absent Josiah.
After reviewing all the test results, Xenon said, “Don’t worry, both of you. Joyce’s condition isn’t very alarming, it’s manageable.”
Xenon explained the treatment plan in deiail, Based on the follow–up results, we’ll make some adjustments.”
“Thank you, Xenon. Sienna sat up straight, her hands instinctively gripping tightly.
“You’re welcome.” Xenon smiled as he glanced at Josiah. “About surgery, the records show you’ve been registered and are in the queue?
Josiah looked at Sienna. “Yes.” Sienna nodded. “But we haven’t reached the front yet.”
“There’s another option Xenon looked at both of them. “You’re both young; have you thought about having a second child”
Sienna looked down when she heard this. Even the expert thought

same thing.
Josiah sighed softly, worry shadowing his face. “But we haven’t had success so far.
Xenon understood. This can’t be rushed. Let’s take a conservative approach–continue with the treatment while still trying for a second child.”
As Xenon spoke, he wrote out a prescription. “I’ve reviewed the medication Joyce had before, we’ll stop two of them and add a new one. Please keep a close watch during the first phase.
“Understood.” Josiah took the prescription and told Sienna, Tll get the medication and bring it to you.
Sienna nodded without objection. As they left the consultation room, Sienna looked at him. “You can go now.”
Josiah nodded. Til get the medication and be back soon.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Outside, the sun was shining brightly. The warm winter sunlight felt nice on their skin. “Joyce Sienna found her daughter in the garden. “Mommy“” Joyce ran over, holding Sienna’s hand. “Look at those flowers! They’re so pretty!”
“Are they?”
They are! Mommy, come with me! I will show you!
“Okay
Jossali sat in his car, quietly watching them hand in hand. Abittersweet smile crept across his face as he pulled a blue velvet box from his pocket.
It was a ring—a red diamond ring, custom–made for his proposal. He had just gotten it that Sienna no longer loved him.
She had loved him once, but now, that love was gone. Josiah closed the box and put it away.
morning. Sadly, it would go unused. He realized that
