Chapter 312
Sienna was slightly taken aback. She thought, ‘Has he come to terms with it? Although she was puzzled by the sudden shift in his attitude, this outcome was precisely what she had hoped for.
“Alright” Sienna smiled faintly. Take care, I’m leaving now,”
“You too…” Cedric nodded slightly, got out of the car, and walked around to open the door for her. They looked into each other’s eyes and shared a smile.
Sienna waved at him and said, Tm going in. It’s snowing, so drive carefully.”
“I will. You go ahead and get inside. I’ll leave once I see you safely in,” Cedric replied.
“Okay,” Sienna said and walked inside.
The moment she turned away, Cedric’s smile vanished. His eyes were filled with an unwavering affection. Watching her retreating figure, he murmured sofily, “Sienna, I’ll wait for you.”
He understood Sienna’s predicament. From her perspective, her rejection of him was completely understandable. As a mother, she naturally had to rally had to prioritize her daughter. He couldn’t and wouldn’t compete with Joyer
So, all he could do was wait. Wait until the day Joyce was safe and sound. Until then, he wouldn’t put any pressure on Sienna.
a
His waiting was a voluntary act, unrelated to her. Perhaps, when Joyce recovered, Sienna and Josiah wouldn’t end up together.
That would be his chance. If, against all hopes, Sienna and Josiah did end up together, he wouldn’t regret it.
Cedric smiled, raised his hand, and caught a falling snowflake, saying, “This is the hope I give myself.” After all, there was still hope.
Back at the apartment, Joyce had already taken a bath and fallen asleep.
Tara was still bustling about. Sienna noticed the large kitchen table was filled with various items–differem ingredients, snacks, and red stuff.
“What’s this?” Sienna picked up one item, not recognizing it.
These are ribbons for the windows, Tara said with a smile. “Don’t you know! Haven’t you ever put them up?”

Upon her explanation, Sienna recognized them, saying, “I do know, but it’s been a long time since I last put them up.”
When she was little, she and her grandmother would put them up every year. Later, when she moved in with the Flynn family, such tasks were no longer her concern. The household staff would take care of it
And then, when she moved to Fliraty, there were quite a few people from her home country in Fliraty, but she was on a tight budget, saving wherever she could while taking care of Joyce
Sienna rolled up her sleeves and said, “Let me put them up.”
“Sure,” Tara replied.
Sienna opened the packaging and remarked, “The New Year is coming. Time really flies”
“Isn’t it? Once you grow up, time seems to speed up.” Tara responded.
Sienna walked over to the window, lifted the curtain, and stuck the ribbons on the window, carefully smoothing it out. She murmured, “It looks really nice
As she let the curtain drop, her gaze paused, and she quickly lifted the curtain again to take a closer look. Downstairs, there was a black Bentley parked. It was a bit far to see the license plate clearly.
She thought, V
Who
o else can it be, with that kind of car parked here! Has Josiah come! Sienna frowned and quickly closed the curtain.
However, none of the things she worried about happened. Her phone remained silent, with no calls or messages. The doorbell didn’t ring either. The whole night was calm and peaceful

When she got ready for bed. Sienna couldn’t help but doubt whether she had seen wrong, or perhaps it wasn’t Josiah after all.
The next morning, when Sienna woke up, Joyce was still asleep. Not wanting to wake her daughter, she got up first. While washing up, she heard knock on the door.
Tara went to open it and said. “Who is it? So early. Then she exclaimed in surprise, “Mr. Flynn, it’s you.”
“Yes“Josiah stood at the door, holding a bag with the logo of Seasonal Rakery.
He smiled faintly and said. “As promised to Joyce yesterday.”
“All” Tara was surprised. She thought. When did this happen?
“Uncle, uncle!” A small figure suddenly ran out of the room and rushed to the door, Josiah bent down and with one arm, he scooped Joyce up.
“Good morning, Joyce,” he said, raising the bag in his hand. “I brought you some muffins,” Josiah said.
“Wow!” Joyce’s eyes and mouth curved into a smile, saying, “Thank you, Uncle Josiah
Tara was both amused and exasperated. It really happened. She said, “Joyce, did you sneak my phone to call Mr. Flynn yesterday?”
“I didn’t sneak,” Joyce said with a serious little face. “Joyce missed him. Uncle Josiah said if I miss him, I can find him
As she spoke, she hugged Josiah’s neck for confirmation, saying “Right?”
“That’s right.” Josiah nodded with a smile, handing the bag to Tara, saying, “Joyce said she wanted muffins, so I got some from Seasonal Bakery”
“Oh my,” Tara said and quickly took it. “Muffins from Seasonal Bakery, the best in Jeiacrity.
She turned around just as Sienna came out after finishing her wash.
Tara smiled and said, “Sienna, Mr. Flynn is here.” Tara already knew they had met before. Of course, she knew nothing else.
“Mm–hmm. Sienna gave Josiah a faint smile and said, “Good morning”
“Good morning” Josiah looked at her, remembering his promise, tried to put Joyce down, and said, “Joyce, I have to go now, Have a good breakfast with mom.”
“No way!” Joyce held onto his neck and said, “Uncle, stay! Stay!”
Josiah hesitated and looked at Sienna
“Joyce, Sienna frowned slightly and said, “Uncle Josiah is busy. He doesn’t have time.”
*Uncle” Joyce looked at Josiah with hopeful eyes and said. “No time?! Can’t you have breakfast with Joyce!” Josiah thought, ‘How can I bear to refuse my daughter’s coquetry?
“Joyce. Seeing the situation was not good, Sienna added, “He doesn’t like our home–cooked meals?
“Really?” Joyce asked. Sienna had no idea, and Tara came over to join the conversation.
“Mr. Flynn, I’ve prepared pumpkin soup, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, toast with butter… Do you like any of these! If not, it’s okay. We have muffins from Seasonal Bakery, right?” Tara asked.
Sienna was at a loss. None of her teammates were cooperating.
Josials chuckled and said, “I can eat anything. It’s just that…” He didn’t finish his sentence and looked at Sienna again.
“Sienna?” Tara understood and chimed in, “Mr. Flynn has helped Joyce a lot, and they really hit it off. Please, Mr. Flynn, come in and have a seat.” Logically, it was the right thing to do. Si
Sienna couldn’t explain, so she reluctantly said, “Please, come in…”
“Great” Josiah was delighted, subtly raising t
the comers of his mouth.

“Uncle, over there!” Joyce waved her short arm, directing him. “The dining table is that way, uncle, sit next to
to Joyce.”
“Sure thing” Josiah sat down at the dining table with Joyer, who had outgrown her high chair and now used a booster seat
Jever looked at him, then at Sienna on the other side, her eyes and mouth curving g into a smile as she said, “Uncle, mom, stay with Joyce!”
Tara brought the breakfast over and said. “With uncle and mom here, eat up nicely.”
Okay Joyce replied.
“Dig in” Josiah picked up a muffin and placed it on Joyce’s small plate, then did the same for Sienna’s plate.
Thicle, you eat tool” Joyce said. In return, she put one in his bowl.
“Haha, alright, Josiah laughed heartily
As they were eating, a knock suddenly sounded on the door. Tara went to check and it was the security guard from the community.
“Excuse me, is the Bentley downstairs yours?” the guard asked.
“Yes, is there a problem?” Tara responded.
