Chapter 8
Kate stood there, a smug expression on her face. “Olivia, Andrew’s been so good to you. How could you betray him? Is it because he gave me the project lead position? But remember, the company is Andrew’s. He has every right to do that.”
People around us started pulling out their phones to record.
Suddenly, Tia’s gaze fell on the ring I was wearing. Her expression turned cold, and she yanked my
my hand away.
Then she grabbed my hair and sneered at me, “Still denying it? I’ve seen this ring before. Martin took a photo of it. This ring is for someone special. Who do you think you are to wear it? You’re just a mistress, a nobody.”
Kate moved in beside Tia, adding fuel to the fire. “Olivia, you used to live so modestly, but now you’re all dressed up in designer brands. Looks like you chose the wrong path to get the life you wanted.
“Olivia, why don’t you just apologize to Tia? After all, you’re the one who went after someone else’s boyfriend. You’re the one at fault. If you just own up to it, I’m sure Tia won’t be too harsh on you.”
Tia looked down at me from above, her eyes full of disdain. “Kneel and beg for forgiveness. Call yourself a slut and a seductress, and maybe I’ll la

I lifted my head and spat in her face. “Get lost. You’re nothing. Martin is my brother. Tia, you dare treat me like this today. I swear you’ll never marry Marin.”
Tia kicked me in the chest, twisted my hand painfully, and ripped the ring off my finger. My finger immediately swelled up.
She snapped, “You’re still fooling yourself? Do you really think Martin would abandon me for a shameless mistress like you?
“You don’t deserve to wear this ring. Even if he’s angry, all I need to do is calm him down, and he’ll forgive me. We’re getting married soon. We’ve already signed the papers. What do you mean to him?”
She turned to the others. “Everything she’s wearing, every single thing, was bought by my boyfriend. Tear her clothes off and show everyone what kind of filthy woman she really is.”
They started ripping at my clothes, and I tried to explain, but no one was listening. Among the onlookers, I saw many men with disgusted expressions, making me want to throw up.
Tia yanked my hair again. “Don’t you want to see my boyfriend? Wait right here. He’ll be here any minute. Let’s see whose side he’ll take.”
As I felt my last layer of clothing about to be torn off, I saw Martin walking through the crowd. He pulled Tia into his arms. “Why did you rush to call me here?”

Tia huffed, “Martin, you heartless man, you’ve been keeping other women behind my back. Who do you want, me or this slut?”
Martin frowned. “You’ve got it all wrong. I only have you as my girlfriend.”
Tia pointed at me. “This slut? She’s wearing a ring you gave her, and you even sent her home. You two were hugging each other.”
When Martin looked at me, his face tightened. He shoved Tia aside and rushed over to me, pulling me into his arms. “Olivia, who did this to you? Who hurt you? Tell me, and I’ll make them pay.”
I pointed at Tia, my voice full of frustration and tears. “Martin, they broke my hand, took my birthday ring, and were about to strip me naked.”
My eyes were burned with red. It was then that people started to realize that I might really be Martin’s sister.
Before Tia could say anything else, Martin slapped her hard, sending her to the ground. “Tia, you’re not even part of our family, and you dare do this to my sister? From now on, we’re done. We’re breaking up.”
The pain was overwhelming, and I passed out. When I woke up, I was in a hospital room.
Martin was beside me, his face full of guilt, apologizing nonstop. He promised he would divorce Tia and make sure everyone who

hurt me would pay the price. I curled up in his arms, crying uncontrollably.
Later, Martin personally ordered the downfall of Andrew and his company. Within a month, Andrew’s company went bankrupt, and he was left with millions of dollars in debt.

All the people who had hurt me were sent to prison by Martin. Tia received a five–year sentence, while the others got sentences ranging from one to three years.
After I recovered, I returned to the Knight Group and became the vice president, second only to Martin. He even gave me 5% of the company’s shares as compensation. Andrew and Kate went into hiding, avoiding their debts.
My life was just beginning, and everything was falling into place. Things were looking up, and I knew they would only get better.
