Chapter 34
ASHER’S POV
“William. I want you to divide the warriors into groups and ask them to guard every single house in the Pack. Make sure that everywhere, every single comer is well lit.” I commanded, my voice echoing in the night.
Cadernodded his head, his eyes full of determination “Yes, Asher. I’ll make sure everything is taken care of“
I swear his eyes glint with a bit of mischief but he quiet knee that this was not the time to joke around.
1 looked around at my warriors, who were murmuring in agreement. They knew that we had to act fast if we wanted to protect our Pack. We couldn’t afford to lose any more of our people.
“Let’s move, everyone. We need to get back to the Pack,” I said, my voice loud and clear.
As we started to make our way back, I could feel the breeze ease the tension inside me. I kept glancing back at intervals to make sure that everyhting was fine.
Every one of my warriors was on edge, ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice. We had faced many challenges before, but this felt different. The rogues had attacked us on our own territory, and that was something that we couldn’t let slide.
As we walked, I could hear the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet, and the occasional howl of a wolf in the distance. I kept my senses sharp, knowing that danger could be lurking around any corner.
When we finally arrived at the Pack, I could see that Cadenhad already started to divide the warriors into groups.
In an instant, they took off at a full sprint, their footsteps thudding against the ground. I watched as they disappeared into the darkness, each one heading towards a different section of the Pack.
They were getting their orders and starting to head out into the night. I could see that the houses were all well lit, and the guards were standing at attention, ready for anything.
As soon as I gave the order to the guards, I turned to face William “William, come with me. We need to talk to the knights immediately,” I said in a commanding tone. Cadennodded and ran off to gather the generals while I waited for him to return.
As I stood there, I could feel the tension in the air. I knew that everyone was on high alert, ready for anything. It was times like these that tested the strength and loyalty of the pack.
After a few minutes, Caden returned with the knights in tow. I could see the worry etched on their faces as they approached. “What’s the situation?” one of them asked as soon as they arrived
“We’ve just received word that there may be more rogue werewolves in the area, I won’t be lying to you but I think there are still some of them out there exempting the ones in the dungeon” I said, trying to keep my voice calm and steady. “We need to prepare for the worst and make sure that every house in the pack is guarded”
The knights nodded in agreement, and we began to make plans. We divided ourselves into groups and assigned each group a specific area of the pack to cover. We also made sure that each group had a healer with them in case anyone was injured.
Once the plans were in place, I turned to William “I need you to take a group and guard the east side of the pack,” I said, handing him a map of the area. “Make sure that you’re thorough and check every single house,”
Caden nodded and gathered his group together. “We won’t let you down,” he said, determination in his voice. They quickly headed off into the night, disappearing into the darkness.
As I watched them go, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride. These were my people, my pack, and they were willing to do whatever it took to protect each other. It was a humbling feeling, and one that I would never forget
I turned back to the knights and we continued to make plans. We knew that the next few hours would be critical, and that we had to be prepared for anything. The tension in the air was almost solid, but I knew that we could handle whatever was thrown at us as long as we stood together.
I groaned internally when I realised I had a meeting with my generals. They were among the most important people whenever there were saturationis like this and I couldn’t afford to leave them.OUL
Turned back immediately and headed to the building, knowing they must have been waiting for a while.
As I step out of the elevator. I see my generals standing outside the meeting room, waiting for me. I nod at them as I approach, and they all bow respectfully. I return the gesture before pushing open the door and walking inside.

Chapter 34
As I stepped into the meeting room, the first thing that caught my attention was the massive oak table in the center of the room. It was at least fifteen feet long and four feet wide, and the dark wood was polished to a high sheen.
The table was surrounded by plush, leather chairs with high backs, each one adorned with a gold emblem of our Pack. The chairs were positioned. around the table in such a way that no one’s back was to the door, indicating our Pack’s commitment to security and vigilance.
The room was dimly lit with soft lighting that gave the space a warm, inviting glow. The walls were adorned with ornate tapestries, depicting the history of our Pack, from its founding to its present–day reign as one of the most powerful and respected Packs in the world. The tapestries were framed with intricate gold carvings, and they hung from iron rods that extended from the ceiling.
In the corner of the room, there was a small bar, stocked with the finest spirits and wines from around the world. A skilled bartender stood at the ready, eager to mix any drink to perfection. Behind the bar, a large mirror reflected the room’s elegance, giving the impression of a larger space.
As I walked to the head of the table, I noticed that the chairs were made of the same dark oak as the table, and each one was intricately carved with the symbol of our Pack. The table was set with crystal goblets, polished silverware, and plates of hors d’oeuvres
The room was silent as I took my seat at the head of the table, and my generals and advisors took their seats around me..
“Alright, what do we know?” I ask, breaking the silence.
One of my generals clears his throat before speaking. “We’ve lost five warriors and a few others are being treated for injuries but it doesn’t look like they will survive it. It seems as though the rogues have been taking advantage of the stormy weather to make their way into our territory undetected”
The person who had just spoken was Melissa, a fierce woman with short, spiky hair and a no–nonsense attitude. She was our weapons master and responsible for creating and maintaining our arsenal. Melissa was an expert in both traditional and modem weapons and could turn anything from a simple rock to a high–tech laser into a deadly weapon in her capable hands.
The general was James, a tall, broad–shouldered man with piercing blue eyes. He was our chief strategist and responsible for planning and executing our battle tactics. James was a brilliant military mind, and his ability to anticipate our enemy’s moves had saved countless lives on the battlefield
1 clench my jaw in anger. “We need to find out how they’re getting in and put a stop to it immediately, William, I want you to gather a team and patrol the boundary, I want it secured at all costs.”
Caden nods before excusing himself from the room, and I turn my attention back to my generals.
As I stood at the head of the meeting room, I surveyed the five generals who were seated before me. Each one of them was a master of their craft and had unique skills that were crucial to our Pack’s success.
Marcus was a quiet and reserved man who always kept to himself. He was our scout and responsible for gathering intel on our enemies. Marcus could move like a ghost and was virtually invisible in the held. He was invaluable to our Pack, providing us with vital information that allowed us to strike our enemies with precision and force.
The final general was Rachel, a woman with long, flowing brown hair and a kind heart. She was our healer and responsible for tending to our wounded. Rachel had a gift for healing and could mend even the most severe injuries with ease. She was a vital member of our Pack and had saved countless lives on the battlefield.
“We also need to make sure that the Pack security is so tight. I want guards posted at every single house, and I want the entire Pack to be well–lit We need to send a message to these rogues that they can’t just waltz in here and cause chaos”
This time around it was David who spoke, a hulking man with a thick beard and a booming voice. He was our combat specialist and responsible for training our warriors. David was a fierce fighter and could take down even the largest of opponents with ease. He was also an excellent teacher and had trained some of the most skilled warriors in our Pack.
