Alpha Mate Chapter 37

Chapter 37

RAYA’S POV

As I come closer, I can smell the sweat emanating from his body. His clothes were night

dirty

irty and stained, evidence of the battle he had been through the

As I was lost in my thoughts, Caden’s voice brought me back to the present. I have to go nowhe said, his voice tired But don’t worry, I have ordered one of the guards to take you around the Pack and make sure you are sale

I nodded, relieved that someone would be looking out for me. Caden got up and walked towards the door, but before he left, he turned back to look. at me. Take care of yourself,he said softly, and then he was gone. Oke of the guards might be coming to show you around to calm you down.” He

OK. I’ll see you later.” I said

A few minutes later, I heard a knock at the door, and I looked up to see one of the guards standing in the doorway. Caden sent me,” he said. He asked if I could show you around.” My heart leapt with excitement

That would be great.I replied eagerly. The guard smiled and stepped aside to let me out into the hallway

I followed him happily, wondering where he was taking me. I could barely contain my excitement as we continued our tour. When we reached the end of the hall, he opened a door that led out onto a balcony overlooking the city. The view was breathtaking, and I felt like I was experiencing something truly special. We spent some time admiring the scenery before heading outside

As we walked, I noticed that the Pack was bustling with activity. Pack members were going about their business, some carrying large sacks of supplies while some were practising their combat skills. Every now and then people looked around, surprised by how the guards filled wvery nook and cranny of the Moat. I guessed it felt very strange what was happening

Despite the busy atmosphere. I couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in my stomach. I kept imagining a rogue appearing out of nowhere and attacking me, tearing me to picces before anyone could come to my aid

The guard seemed to sense my apprehension and offered a small smile. Don’t worry, Alpha Asher has ordered us to keep a close eye on you. You’ll be safe

I smiled weakly in response, grateful for his reassurance. We continued walking, and I saw that we were heading towards a large building that looked like a training center

The building was constructed with sleek, metallic materials that glinted in the sunlight, giving it a futuristic look. It was located on the edge of the Pack’s territory, surrounded by tall trees that provided a natural cover

As I stepped inside, the atmosphere was electric. The air was filled with the sound of grunts and roars as the wolves went through their paces. The training arena was a large open space, surrounded by viewing platforms where other wolves and guards looked on, observing the intense training

sessions

The arena itself was made of tough, durable material that could withstand even the most brutal of battles. The walls were lined with weapons of every kind, from sharpedged swords to lethallooking spears. Targets were placed at strategic locations, and the wolves honed their skills as they hit their targets with impressive accuracy

As we entered the building, I saw several wolves sparring with each other, their movements fluid and graceful

The guard led me to a bench near the edge of the training ring and gestured for me to sit. You can watch from here,” he said. Is there anything you

want from me.”

No, thank you.I said, staring into the distance

The training facility was a marvel of modern engineering but none of that caught my attention. My worry was being attacked out of the blue by some violent rogue, tearing me into pieces

The memories of what happened the day Asher saved me came flitting back into my mind and and could feel the claustrophobia gradually kicking in. I found myself glancing around more more normal as I sat there, watching the activities going on. I was gradually regretting why I had come

At the centre of the arena, two wolves were engaged in a fierce battle. They circled each other, their eyes locked in a fierce baule of wills. The sound of their snarls Gilled the arena as they lunged and dodged, attacking and defending with lightning speed

The trainers, all seasoned warriors themselves, stood at the sidelines, watching every move with eagle eyes. They barked out orders, encouraging the wolves to push themselves to their limits, to become stronger and faster

Chapter 37

I watched with a mix of disgust and fascination as the wolves fought each other. It seemed like such an excessive display of masculinity, yet I couldn’t look away

Most of the guys seemed to take notice of me as they stood there, looking at me with interest. But then they must have realized that I had some se et connection with the alpha- for whatever reason, they all seemed to back off. All around me, I could feel their eyes on me, but none of them dired to approach

I felt scared as time went on. I looked around, unsure what to expect. My mind raced with possibilities, but I forced myself to take a deep breath and remain calm

The guard noticed my apprehension and offered me his arm. He said he would escort me back if I wished for it, and I nodded gratefully. I was relieved to have him beside me, though I could feel people’s eyes on us as we walked

We moved through the Pack in silence, the guard vigilant and alert. People seemed to recognize us, glancing our way before quickly looking away again. The stares made me uncomfortable, but the guard remained unfazed by them all

It was a long journey back to the Packhouse and my feet ached by the time we arrived there. But despite the fear that had gripped me at the start of our walk. I had made it safely back home. As I thanked the guard for his help and bid him farewell, I was glad that he had been there to watch over
