Chapter 5 Mistake
On the weekend, Antonio and Zelma went out on a date.
Grace decided to head back to school to get a letter from her headteacher.
On the way, her phone kept ringing.
She could guess what Zelma had sent. It was probably some details about their intimate moments. Grace had seen it all before, and it didn’t surprise her at all. In fact, she couldn’t understand why Zelma was so wary of her. Wasn’t Antonio acting perfectly fine?
What on earth made Zelma think that she was some kind of threat or rival?
But Grace didn’t expect Antonio to take Zelma to Wintervale.
The familiar wood grain pattern was from Grace’s old bedroom, which Antonio had decorated himself. Even the wood grain was carved by Antonio. The complete design was a cute little tiger. He said it could protect her and keep her safe.
The nine years in Wintervale were the best times for her and Antonio, back when she hadn’t yet confessed her feelings.
It was a place where her heart found peace.
It turned out that what she cherished meant nothing at all to Antonio. Antonio’s thin, muscular back rose and fell.

Below him, Zelma’s hair was tangled and disheveled.
They were making love on that very bed where Grace had slept for nine years.
Grace quietly saved the video, as well as all the pictures and videos that Zelma had sent her.
These things were like reminders of how silly she had looked in that relationship that wasn’t right.
Her headteacher had been waiting for her outside the school for a long time and gave her back the letter that had been kept for so long.
“I’m really happy that you’ve moved on. Go ahead and start something new. There’s someone better waiting for you out there.”
Grace nodded with a bitter smile. Inside the pink envelope was the love letter she had written to Antonio, but her headteacher had seen it by accident and taken it away.
The headteacher had talked to her for a long time, trying to make her understand, and had said that she would give her the letter back when the time was right.
Now, it was finally the right time. The headteacher felt a lot of emotions and said gently, “You’ve been living together for more than ten years.
“Back then, your uncle cared a lot about everything related to you at school. Now you’ve let go. I’ve heard that your uncle has got engaged. Just think of the past as something you did when you were young and didn’t know any better. You have a lot of good things waiting for you in the future.”

Grace nodded, tore the letter into pieces, and threw it into the trash can beside her. She thanked her headteacher sincerely. “Thank you for keeping this for me all these years. It gave me the time I needed to think, so I didn’t end up embarrassing myself.”
After walking a short distance, Grace ran into her old. classmate, George Ascot.
“Grace?”
“George?”
They smiled at each other, chatted about old times for a while, and then decided to have dinner together.

When Grace got home, it was already half past nine, and the villa was pitch dark. She was a bit surprised as she opened the door.
Had there been a power outage at home? Or was the maid Megan out?
After taking a few steps inside, Grace saw a silent figure sitting on the sofa.
The living room was dark, and the only light came from the moon shining in from outside.
“Antonio?”
Grace was taken aback. Hadn’t he gone out on a date with Zelma? Why was he back already?
There was a loud bang as Grace accidentally stepped on an

empty can, and that was when she saw a bunch of broken bottles scattered on the ground.
“What happened?” she asked.
Even if she didn’t have feelings for Antonio anymore, he was still her uncle, and she felt she needed to check on him.
Antonio looked up at Grace after hearing the noise. His eyes were filled with some kind of intense emotion that she couldn’t quite understand.
Grace instinctively took some steps back. This was the first time Antonio had ever given her such a scary look.
“An…””
“You’re finally back.
“Tell me, who is that man?! Tell me!”
Antonio reached out and covered Grace’s eyes, trembling as he said, “Forget it. Don’t say anything. I don’t want to know.
“Zelma…”
His hand lingered at her collar, like he was about to rip it off any second.
Grace’s eyes widened in shock, and she struggled hard to push Antonio away.
“Antonio, I’m not Zelma.
“You’ve got the wrong person.”
So Antonio already loved Zelma this much? He mistook Grace
