Chapter 8
“Hi, Mr. Parrish,” Antonio muttered, feeling awkward.
Tyler sneered, “Antonio, you’ve got some nerve showing your face here after what you did to my sister.”
“I never hurt Grace. I genuinely care about her,” he blurted
out.
“Oh, cut the act. No one’s buying it.” Tyler shot him a mocking glance. “Why don’t you leave her alone and go handle your company?”
Antonio’s face fell immediately.
I didn’t care what Tyler did with Antonio’s company. After Antonio bolted back to his city, my life started to mellow out!
I kept my identity under wraps and started from scratch at Tyler’s company.
Everyone at the office kept things straightforward. After work, I’d grab dinner with colleagues, do yoga occasionally, and spend weekends hanging out with Zack. Life was simple and relaxed.
Seeing Zack again brought back flashes of my childhood. He always appeared in my dreams, gentle and kind.
Once, he nervously asked me to watch a match with him.
“It’s a boxing match.” His ears turned red. “I’ve been training hard and really wanted you to come.”

I smiled,
That was when I found out Zack was into boxing. No wonder he decked Antonio with one punch last time, leaving him helpless.
Zack looked at me intently. “I won’t let you down.”
His intense gaze made my cheeks flush.
I showed up as promised. Standing ringside, I watched him in action. In his tight tank top and boxing shorts, he was all muscle and power. Zack was truly impressive, and I got flustered.
This was totally new to me, buzzing with excitement and energy. When Zack landed a powerful punch and his opponent hit the mat, I couldn’t help but cheer loudly.
My voice just blended into the roaring crowd, and no one even glanced my way.
Zack yanked off a glove and used the corner of his tank top to wipe the sweat from his cheek. My gaze lingered on his heaving chest and glistening, sweaty abs.
He won the championship medal and ring.
Zack hopped off the stage and headed my way. I just stood there, amazed, as my heart raced.
When he stopped in front of me, looking a bit nervous, I had a feeling I knew what was coming.
Zack got down on one knee, holding the ring. “Grace, I’ve loved you for a long time. Will you let me take care of you forever?”
Chapter R
For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Then, the crowd exploded with cheers and whistles.
I couldn’t help but grin as I gave him my hand. To my surprise, it was a diamond ring with our initials engraved inside. This was a custom engagement ring, not a boxing match prize.
I looked up at him, my eyes sparkling. “Yes, Mr. Bradshaw.”
Our wedding date was set for the beginning of next month. When Tyler heard the news, he asked if I was truly happy with the decision.
The weather was great. I sat by the window, watching the sunlight play on the diamond ring as I turned it gently. Who would’ve thought I’d get over Antonio and fall for someone else?
“Tyler, relax. I’ll be happy in marriage,” I told him over the phone.
And I’d make Zack happy.
Tyler let out a sigh of relief.
On the wedding day, I put on my dress and stepped out with Zack. Just as we were about to get in the car, we ran into Coleen.
She was in a wedding dress too, with a small baby bump- about three months pregnant.
