Chapter 29: What did I tell you about asking me
Tricia’s POV
that?
Tapproached the ornate wardrobe adamned with intricate carvings
“Which attire would benefit Your Majesty today?” I pondered.
The wardrobe’s contents reflected Lucian’s noble statis: finely woven tunics, cloaks, and breeches.
1 selected a regal purple tunic embroidered with golden thread.
A matching cloak with a silver clasp would complete the ensemble.
As I reached for a pair of supple leather breeches, my fingers grazed against the silk lining
The scent of sandalwood and myrrh wafted through the alt.
“Tricia,” Lucian’s deep voice resonated.
“Yes, Your Majesty?”
“Make haste.”
Thastily gathered the chosen gamments.
My eyes fell on his body as I aquoached him
His damp hair framed his chiseled face
Curves met.
For an instant, they stood still.
“Here are your clothes, your majesty,” I said, stretching out my hand to give the clothes to him whole, trying to avoid making eye contact with him as much as possible.
He pulled my arm, and my body crashed into him, but he did not even move an inch
“Ouch.” 1 winced in pain as I bumped my nose against his hand chest, I rub it slowly.
“Why did you pull me?” I hissed, I was rolling my eyes at him inwardly.
“The
(up on time. You are already wasting my time. Or will you style my heir first?” he asked, narrowing his gaze.
Of course not Styling his hair first means he will have to remain half–naked till I’m done styling his hair. Who in her right mind would do that?
I raised my eyes and saw him staring at me. I lowered my gaze instantly and forced out a smile.
“I will dress you up first, your majesty. “I stated.
Lucian’s gaze lingered on me
“Texpect nothing less,” be replied.
His voice sent shivers down my spine.
I began dressing him, my fingers brushing against his skin
The contact sparked a flutter in my chest.
I focused on the tack
Tunic Breeches Clock
Each garment accentuated his regal physique.
As I fastened the silver clasp, our eyes mot.
For an instant, time froze
“Your Majesty,” I whispered
“Done“” Lucian asked.
Η
He turned to examine himself in the mirror…
1 stepped back.
My heart is still racing Why am I reacting this way? Should I say I am? Am I falling for him?
No, that must not happen. I must be crazy
I forced out a simile and pulled out a chair for him to sit on
“I need to style your hair, your majesty,” I said with a small sinile dancing on my lips.
He took his seat without arguing.
Some. Minutes later… I was done
“Can I take my leave now?” I asked, narrowing my gaze. I’m already tired of staying here for too long. I need to leave. His aura is so intimidating that I’m
afraid I will Suffocate to death.
“What did I tell you about asking you that?” he asked coldly, his voice laced with anger.
“I’m sorry, Your Majesty,” I said through my gritted teeth. When the hell was be trying to release me? Or will I keep following him around when I’m not his bodyguard?
He rose to his feet and made his way to the door. I quickly ran after him.
“Who knows if he was trying to lock the in.. I can’t risk that.”
We walked down the hallway, and I saw he was making his way to the dining hall. Should I still follow him?
I screamed in my head. I would be more than happy if I were given the chance to beat this bastard up. He has always been a pain in the neck
He pushed open the door, and we both entered. Everyone in the dining hall rose to their feet immediately to greet him.
“Good morning your majesty
They all greeted each other. Their greetings echoed through the whole place.
He did not reply and suddenly turned around swiftly. “You can take your leave
Instead of being happy that he had finally released me, I was mad at him. Why did he not tell me to leave before entering the dining hall? Now everyone has seen us together.
Suppose I was given a chance to beat him up. I am sure I will not misuse the chance… I will. Beat him till he was unable to stand up again that piece of trash
I could feel his deadly glare on me… I raised my head and saw him still staring at me.
I forced out a smile and bowed instantly. “Thank you so much, your majesty ”
With that Thurried out of the dining hall
I made my way to the kitchen. I suck in a deep breath before finally opening it.
Everyone directed their gazes to me. Immediately, I stepped my feet inside
I was also gurprised to find Lyra in the kitchen. She was staring at me. With shock written all over her face.
That was when. I remembered that I was in her room last night, battling for my life.
Of course, she will be more than shocked to see me looking healthy right now, Come to think of it, she was absent from the dining hall earlier. I still need to remember.
“Where have you been?” she questioned while approaching me. The shock on her face never disappeared.
She suddenly hugged me tightly, pulling me into her embrace. “I was scared for a moment. I thought something bad had happened to you,” she said softly. Her voice could barely meet a whisper, but I heard what she said.
I was touched by this, though.
“Where have you been.. I searched everywhere for you but could not find you I came here to check if you are in the kitchen but none of them say they sew you. I’m glad to have you back though.” She whispered and lugged me even more.
She suddenly let go of me and widened her eyes in shock. She did not need to utter a word before I knew what she was about to say.
It was because of the wound on my back.
I shook my head slowly, signaling her not to say anything. She got my signal and kept her mouth shut.
“Talk to you later.” I said, forcing out a smile, and she nodded.
She walked out of the kitchen afterward.
Everyone set their
ir gazes on her; immediately, slie was gone. My eyes scanned everyone. A small smile crept on my lips when I saw Ava. She also looked
worried
Maybe they have both been searching for me. I feel bad for making them pass through that kind of stress.
you have befriended the princess in no time. You surely have an amazing skill.” One of the maids scoffed, her words full of sarcasm.
Anger flashed in my eyes, but I managed to look calin. I don’t want to cause trouble with anybody today.
Miss Mary has yet to arrive.
Chapter 29. What did I tell you about asking me that?
I ignored the girl and approached Ava instead.
“How are you feeling now?” she asked, her voice laced with worry. I flashed her a smile and nodded.
“I am fine now.
The door swung open, and Miss Mary entered. I was speaking of the devil. “Good morning ma.” We all echoed. Our voice echoed through the place.
