Chapter 41: The Moon goddess appeared in my dream
Tricia’s POV
“Yeah. He slept secretly with nothing to worry about. He even woke up are” I mumbled in a low breath. Confiation was writers all over my fare,
“Wow. This seems to be good news. I’m happy for him” Lyra screamed in excitement and hopped me rightly
She seemed to be so excited about the fact that Lucia could sleep properly.
“That seems to be a miracle then. Almost all the physicians in the whole world came to treat him but there seems to be no cure for his insomnila. But I’m glad that he can sleep now”
Lyra was grinning from ear to ear. I can tell she loves her brother so much.
Despite Lucian’s bad behavior. His sister still loves him to much
I love my fake family so much. I love them with all my heart, but what did I get in retum?
Iven if I’m not their
ological daughter. They are supposed to show mercy
Have always been an obedient child,
The smile on my face faded slowly. Tears welled up in my eyes immediately threatening to fall.
I closed my eyes and looked away, I must not cry. They do not deserve my tours.
“Are you okay
Theard Lyra’s voice,
out of my thoughts.
hat was when I remembered I was not alone. I forced out a smile and nodded slowly.
A look of doubt crossed her eyes, but fortunately. She did not dwell on the matter anymore..
“So about the wound on your back. How come the wound disappeared?” She asked with shock written all over her face
Holy crap. Another stress. Can’t she just forget about (17)
I screamed in my head. I forced out a smile, trying my best to hide my frustrations.
“I don’t know how it faded but I had a dream that the moon goddess applied something on my back” I lied. I couldn’t make eye contact with her
“You must be daydreaming.” She said, laughing out loud
I also joined in the laughter. It sounded stupid though. Who would the moon goddess appear in my dream?
But that’s the only thing that appeared in my mind.
“Let’s go to the kitchen. We are going to the market after making breakfast.” She said, She had a grin plastered on her face.
“Really? Wow, that’s great.” I mumbled.
“I’m sure you and Ava will enjoy this trip. Just the three of us. Did you know today is the Lantern Festival?” She asloed and I shook my head.
“We must not miss you. We will wait till midnight so we can also witness the lantern festival.” She said with a big smile on her face.
Sole minutes later. We both walked out of the Alpha chamber and made our way to the kitchen. It would be a lie if I said I was not excited that we would make a tour around the park.
I have always heard the Crescent Moon park is the biggest in the whole world.
And everything about it is unique and great. We will get to see different things in the market.
The thought alone made me smile for some unknown reasons.
But come to think of it. I can use this opportunity to run away
It is just that I will make Ava and Lyre feel bad
The thought of loving them made my heart ache but I had no choice,
I need to leave this park at all costs Staying here can make it impossible for me to take my revenge,
The last I can do is just leave this place and forget all the memories I have made together with the two girls….
I did not regret kouwing them.
A sad smile formed on my lips and I tried my best to hide
“Good morning my lady, bath maids greeted us as we stepped into the kitchen.
I didn’t realize we were already in the kitchen until now
“Morning” Lyra replied firmly. She stopped further lede the room and I also followed behind obediently. –
Everyone gets to work immediately without wasting time.
- The Moon goddess appeared in my dream
Since I don’t know how to do most of the things here. The best I could do is to just watch them as they work
“Stop standing and have your seat. I can’t carry you on my back later,” Lyra sald half–jokingly and I laughed
1 guessed she already knew I could do nothing
“Let her stand, she will be able to support herself with a stick later.” Ava chimed in and we all laughed.
I can feel the other maid’s curious paze on us. They were surprised how a lowly maid like me and Ava managed to befriend the princess…I could feel a cold glane on me. I wanted to ignore it but the glare became too intense, forcing me hard to raise my head.
The person turned out to be Ella. She was loolding as if she wanted to kill me
If a look could kill, I’m very sure I would be long dead by now.
1 averted my gaze away from her since I had no business with her or anything
Soon. The food was ready. The air was filled with a salivating aroma… My stomach grumbled slightly, showing how impatient I was to devour the food.
A few maids took the food to the dining hall
“When are you eating, Lyra?” Ava whispered to Lyra and she smiled,
I heard what she said though
“Well, you guys are eating nothing for now. I don’t want you to get dull before we reach the market. You will get to try a lot of meals you’ve never tried. And trust me. You will love everything” She said,
A small giggle escaped her lips showing how excited she was about it.
I am already imagining what we will eat in the market.
I licked my dry lips and smiled.
As we walked through the bustling market, Lyra’s enthusiasm was contagious. Ava and I tracked behind her, talding in the vibrant colors and enticing
smells.
“Try this?” Lyra exclaimed, handing me a skewer of grilled meat.
“Wow, this smells amazing!” Ava said, her eyes widening
“I know, right? It’s a specialty here,” Lyra replied, taking a bite.
“Mmm… this is heavenly!” I said, savoring the flavors.
“Isn’t it?” Lyra beamed. “I’m so glad you guys are enjoying this.”
As we walked, Lyra pointed out various stalls and vendors.
“Hey, let’s get some Lanterns for the festival tonight!” Ava suggested..
“Yes! I want one shaped like a crescent moon, Lyra said, her eyes sparkling
“Me too!” I chimed in
“Great minds think alike!” Lyra laughed
After selecting our lanterns, we continued exploring.
“Look, a stall selling mooncakes” Lyra exclaimed.
“Ooh, Hove mooncakes!” Avd said.
“Me too! Let’s try some,” Lyra replied.
As we sampled the mooncakes, Lyra mentioned the festival’s highlights.
“The lantern release is at midnight. We’ll find a great spot to watch.”
“I can’t wait!” Awa exclaimed.
“Me neither,” I said, forcing a smile.
But my mind wandered to my escape plan.
How could I slip away without hurting Lyra and Awa?
“Hey, Tricia, what’s wrong?” Lyra asked, noticing my distant expression
“Nothing, just enjoying the view,” I replied quickly.
Lyra smiled, unaware of my inner turmoil
“Let’s keep exploring! The night is still young.”
