Chapter 6: I mean no harm to you
Tricia’s POV
1 raised my head and saw that Alpha was not the only one in the room. A lady was seated beside him, and two other men and another young lady were in the room as well. I moved my gaze back to the lady seated beside Alpha, and I frowned my face slightly. Is that his mate?
My heart ached instantly, and the thought of the lady being his mate crossed my mind. I did not know why this was happening, though. But the idea of him having a mate made my heart ache slightly.
Should I be nice to you, or do you want me to treat you the hard way?” Theard the Alpha’s voice, and I trembled instantly. I could feel a piercing gaze on me. However, they were all staring at me since I was the center of attention. But this particular gaze was so intense that I was forced to direct my gaze to the person. It turns out to be one of the men. He was also dressed in a royal robe, so I could tell he held a high position. Anyways, that’s none of my business. The only thing on my mind right now is how to get myself out of this mess.
“What did she do, brother?” the brown–haired girl said. She seemed to be my age or some months older than me. She’s not that old. So, she was the Alpha’s younger sister. She had a radiant smile on her face, and she looked so cute. 1 could not deny that.
“She is a spy from another pack,” the Alpha responded. His gaze fixed on me. I widened my eyes in shock, and instantly shook my head in denial.
“No, I am not.” My voice was booming, and I was startled. I never imagined myself raising my voice to this extent. I am a soft girl, and I barely talk. Even if I had anything bothering my mind, I would instead smile and wave it off,
“You are not?” He asked, raising his brow. His voice was low but menacing at the same time. And this sent a shiver down my spine. “Then what were you doing in my room last night?”
I gulped down the
lump in my throat, and 1 found it hard to reply to him. All gaze was on me. They were all waiting for me to talk
“I don’t know what happened, either. I just found myself in your room,” I said. I am trying my best to look as happy as possible. I have no choice but to say this. Though I sounded stupid right now, I had no choice. I needed to get myself out of this mess.
“Do you think! was joking with you?” The Alpha growled. His voice dripped with venom.
“I’m not joking. I just found myself in your room,” I said, but my voice sounded more like a plea
“Where are you from? The Alpha asked.
“I don’t know,” I said softly. My voice was low but loud enough for everyone in the hall to hear. “I don’t remember a thing except my name?
A soft chuckle suddenly escaped his lips. His chocde might sound amusing to others but to me… It sounded more like a death sentence.
My heart started to race again, and he made his way to me, each doorstep matching my heartbeat, I clenched the hem of my dress tightly and awaited my fate.
He halted his steps in front of me. He bent down to reach my level, and his scent enveloped me immediately. I can’t pinpoint what he smelled like, but he smelled really nice. One could hardly believe he was the Alpha king. Though he has the aura of a king, one would find it hard to believe he is a bloodthirsty Alpha
My throat rolled as the thought crossed my mind. He was staring at me as if he could read my thoughts. I tried my best not to look into his eyes. He suddenly used his finger to raise my chin. The corner of his lips curved upward slightly, forming a smirk. This alone was enough to scare the life out of me, but I managed not to Tremble
“Don’t you be with me, little girl? I am like a fine, and messing with me might send you to an early grave.” His voice was low but menacing at the same time. I could sense the danger in his voice, and I’m sure he meant what he said. My body trembled all over, and beads of sweat started forming on my forehead,
“Where are you from?” His voice was commanding and intimidating at the same time,
Should I tell him the truth? But that did not clear the part of why I was in his room. And what if he sends me back to the Blue Seapack? They will definitely kill me again, and that’s the end. No. There is no way I will tell him the trich
“I’m being sincere here. I did not know how I ended up here. Please believe me,” 1 Plead. Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to fall. 1 wanted him to believe me. Though what I said was not the truth, I meant no harm to him.
A soft chuckde suddenly forced itself out of his throat. He took a lazy glance at the guards behind me and rose to his feet instantly.
You can do your work She’s of no use, He spat out coldly, and I widened my eyes in shock. I broke into a cold sweat immediately. I know what he meant by telling the guards to do their work. He is definitely planning to get me lilled, I quickly grabbed his leg before he could walk away
“Please Alpha. I’m telling you the truth. I mean no harm to you. I swear with my life. Please don’t let them kill me. I don’t want to die yet.” I Pleaded.
“How dare you touch the Alpha’s leg. Are you seeking death? The lady who sat beside the Alpha earlier yelled at me angrily and rose to her feet. Her eyes were shooting daggers at me. I don’t remember losowing this lady at all, so why is she against me?
“Guards, what are you waiting for? Kill the bitch immediately.” She roared, and the guards proceeded to pull out their swords. Panic set in immediately, and my heart picked race again.
“Don’t you dare?” I heard another feminine voice, and I directed my gaze to the source of the voice. It was the second girl in the room–Alpha’s younger sister, if I’m currect. I can see how the Alpha’s younger sister and the lady who talked earlier are glaring at themselves. This shows they hold grudges against each other, but that’s none of my concem. But I’m glad that she stood up for me
The girl walked over to us and stopped a few feet away from me. Her gaze traveled downward, and she saw me still holding onto the Alpha’s leg
“The Alpha did not like it when someone touched him. This alone might get you killed.” she said, and I quickly let go of the Alpha’s leg.
