Chapter 20
Julia’s cruise ship stayed in Fairlea for two months, and it seemed that Beckett had also found his destination
Perhaps for him, this was just a simple tourist trip.
But he met someone who he thought was very important.
They got along very well and explored every corner of Fairlea.
It seems like all along, Julia wanted a life like this.
The person she wanted to love was right beside her.
I wanted to be free.
But for her, these past twenty years have been so difficult.
Julia confessed her past experiences to someone for the first time.
She was calm and composed as if narrating someone else’s story.
Beckett looked at her with a gaze full of compassion. She spoke with her mouth about the betrayal she had experienced from the person she had been together with for two years and her sister.
She was talking and talking, but she laughed herself, raising her eyes to look at Beckett, unable to control the tears streaming down.
“Did you also find it quite ridiculous?”
Beckett wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes and reached out to embrace her
“I did not feel that way.”
Julia paused for a moment. Over the past two or three months of talking, they had only engaged in conversations that allowed them to delve into each other’s hearts.
This was the first time Beckett hugged her.
She did not push away, this embrace healed the scars in her heart.
She was not afraid to reveal it to him, she was just atraid that he would despise it.
“Would you like to start a relationship with me?”
“I liked you.”
When this sentence was spoken, the people below were all holding bouquets and boarding the ship.
999 roses appeared in front of her, placed on the deck.
It took Julia a while to recover from her recent emotions
Originally, Beckett had already planned today’s confession.
It is said that a love story begins with receiving a bouquet.
And in front of her were hundreds of bouquets,
Julia was a bit incoherent. Beckett looked at her affectionately, wearing a tailored suit that made his broad shoulders and slim waist more prominent.
“I like you, to be honest, I haven’t had much experience in dating.”
“If you are willing, I will entrust all my money to you.”
Julia never thought about managing the other person’s property, all she has always wanted is sincere love
Why should one be afraid of failure just because of one failure?
She should have faced her own heart, she had feelings for the man in front of her.
Watching Beckett nervously holding a bouquet in front of her, his hands trembling uncontrollably.
“Well, shall we give it a try?”
As soon as these words were spoken, Beckett immediately breathed a sigh of relief and smiled as he picked up Julia.
Julia believed that at that moment, they were surely the happiest people.
At this moment, a middle–aged woman appeared behind Beckett.
The moment of happiness was shattered.
“Beckett,”
She called out to them gently, and Beckett immediately responded.
“Mom! You came!!
Mrs. Rosales looked Julia up and down, a gaze she was all too familiar with
Layla used to size her up like this, and it was followed by mockery and sarcasm.
Julia seemed ready to be spoken to
But to their surprise, Mrs. Rosales didn’t ask anything and instead took the initiative to hold Julia’s hand
“Are you Julia? Beckett keeps messaging me about you on his phone every day.”
“Today was the moment when my son also confessed his feelings, and I came here specially to witness it.”
Her smiling eyes were sincere, without a trace of falsehood.
Julia stared blankly at the loving woman in front of her. A hint of envy arose in her heart.
When she didn’t see Maren, she also thought her mother would look the same.
Watching Beckett and his mother playfully teasing each other, one after another.
Having a mother like this, one must have been very happy, right?
Afterward, Mrs. Rosales took out a box from her bag
When she opened it, a completely green jade appeared in front of her,
This style would also cost one or two million in the market
“pulia, this is a gift I gave you, I hope you like it.
Julia’s pupils dilated, she didn’t expect Mrs. Rosales to give such a valuable gift.
“No, no, no, this is too valuable!”
Mrs. Rosales smiled and grabbed Julia’s hand, forcefully handing it to her.
“Beckett told me about your background. Maybe you had a tough time in the past, but it doesn’t matter. From now on, our home is your
home.”
“You were my daughter.”
Perhaps it was the first time that Julia felt the feeling of being valued by someone.
Tears kept rolling in my eyes.
“This money should be spent by you, don’t worry, our family is the least lacking in money!”
She was never truly valued at home in the p
e past.
Even the gifts, most of them were leftovers that Carly used. The things she wanted, she bought them herself through her efforts.
She was more grateful for this fate than anyone else.
