Chapter 14 A Precious Gift From Garrett
Being stared at by Trevon and Karla, Sterra felt so uneasy that she didn’t even know where to look
Fromaning slightly, Garrett said. “Dad. Mom, you’ll make Sierra feel uncomfortable if you keep staring at her like this.”
Though it was the first time Garrett met her. he was so considerate of her.
“See? He’s already so protective of her right after they met. Kinship really is an amazing thing looking at the two. Trevon sighed.
This is so nice. Brothers are supposed to protect their sisters.” With Sierra around. Garrett wasn’t so cold anymore. It was wonderful.
Garrett looked back at Sierra and thought of something important.
“Sierra, where do you go to school?” he asked. She had just come back. and he should get her a good school
She’s in Class A of Kingbury University,” before Sierra could finish. Karla beat her to it, saying proudly
“Kingbury University? Class A?” Garrett frowned slightly. Then he reacted, nodding “So. Dad has already arranged it for you.”
He figured he was one step too late and would have to make it up to Sierra in other ways
Hearing this. Karla shook her head. “Trevon had nothing to do with it.
Mr. Colon invited Rara.”
“Mr. Colon?” Garrett arched an eyebrow. “Sierra, you know Mr. Colon?”
Egbert was an important figure. Many knew him but still couldn’t get into Kingbury University.
“Not exactly. I had the top score on the SAT. so…” Sierra chose not to tell her connection with Egbert. Instead, she proved herself with her strength.
“The top score?” Garrett was surprised.
Her performance was even better than that of his and his brothers back when they were in school. Let alone Egbert, any principal would happy to have her.
“Impressive.” he praised earnestly.
“Thanks.” Sierra smiled modestly.
Just then. Trevon thought of something. “Garrett, you were among the top in the SAT. right? What rank were you again?”
Garrett raised an eyebrow slightly. He was a straight–A student, and his grades were always among the top three in the whole school.
Yet, after hearing Sierra’s performance, he didn’t want to bring up his past achievements at all.
Then Karla said to Trevon, “You can’t even remember that? I think he ranked second. Right, Garrett?”
The perfect image he had just built up in front of Sierra crumbled so soon, which left Garrett a bit awkward. He could only nod stiffly.
Sitting in the middle, Sierra noticed the look on his face and was amused.
Though Garrett seemed like the aloof type. deep down. he was just another guy who cared a lot about his pride.
Realizing this, she immediately helped him out. “Mom, it’s the first time Garrett and I met. We should have a sumptuous dinner, right?”
“Of course. I’ll cook.” Karla nodded resolutely and went to the kitchen.
Trevon smiled. “Ill go upstairs and change. You guys stay here and chat.”
Seeing them leaving. Sierra felt relieved.
Noticing she was a bit nervous. Garrett realized she probably hadn’t gotten used to living here yet. After pondering for a moment, he sa… “I’ll take you somewhere.”
“What? OK. Though she didn’t know where he was taking her, she still stood up and left the living room with him.
Soon, he led her to a room on the fourth floor.
She couldn’t help but feel puzzled. What was so special about this room?
“Take it.” He handed her a key from his pocket.
Seeing this, she was confused even more. “Garrett, is this your room?”
Open it and take a look.” he simply said with a smile while placing the key in her hand.
She nodded and opened the door.
In the next second, she was stunned.
It was actually a specially designed princess–themed room. The entire interior was adorned in pink, giving off a fairy–tale kingdom vibe.
Yet, it wasn’t childish at all. All the furniture and items were crafted by top–notch designers, and it even came with a huge balcony and an open- air garden.
In short, it was way better than the rooms of her and Isabella.
“Whose room is this?” The Cordova’s manor was huge, and though it had been days. Sierra still hadn’t been able to be familiar with every corner. and she had no idea who this room belonged to.
“Yours from today on, if you want it,” Garrett looked at her, smiling dotingly.
It seemed a weight had been lifted off his shoulders,
“For … me?” She looked at him in surprise.
He gave her a room the first time they met?
“Yes. I prepared this room for my sister a long time ago.” Looking around at the fabulous decorations in the room, he didn’t finish his sentence.
When Trevon and Karla said they had found their daughter, he had this room prepared for her. However, when he met Isabella, for some reason. he simply couldn’t bring himself to be fond of her. So, the room remained unoccupied. But he’d occasionally add some decorations to it.
“For your sister? Then how come Isabella didn’t move in?” After all, Isabella was recognized by the family before her.
“I don’t know her well,” he said concisely.
Sierra felt awkward for a moment.
Garrett could be really blunt.

He and Isabella had been family for years, yet he actually said he didn’t know her well. If Isabella heard this, she’d be furious.
“Now that I think about it, perhaps it’s all because of blood ties. Outsiders will always be outsiders.” His gaze was terrifyingly rational.
Immediately, she understood.
No matter what, the fact remained–Isabella wasn’t related to them by blood. The family took care of her out of guilt, but in essence, she was just an outsider. Garrett was a rational man, which kept him from being blinded by guilt. He was indeed smart.
As she was pondering, Garrett had already walked inside. He walked over to the touch–screen beside the wall and pressed it, and many previews of room decoration effects appeared on the screen right away. “This is a high–tech room I had designed. The decorations here can be switched at will, and the room comes with the most advanced computer equipment. audio equipment, and so on.”
This was the longest speech he had ever made while he introduced every detail of the room to her.
She couldn’t help but widen her eyes.
She had seen the world and thought nothing would impress her anymore.
But not this room. It was practically tailor–made for her.
There was even a top–of–the–line computer with two screens, and it was among the best even in the base. From now on, she could carry out hacker missions from here.
The room’s decorations could be switched at any time, with balconies on both the north and south sides which were decorated in two different
