Chapter 30 Catch Me if You Can
It was nothing compared to the training Sierra had received in the organization. However, to not scare them, Sierra decided to hold back a
little bit.
Sierra slowed down on purpose. She finished the test in a few minutes just like everyone else did. The only difference was that she looked not tired at all after the test, going back to her spot.
Seeing that Sierra was slower than her, Miley immediately satirized, “You’re a straight–A student, so I thought you were good at everything. Turns out you’re so ordinary.”
Sierra ignored Miley. Soon, all the classes finished the physical assessment. Brandon talked to Helen for a while. Then, he started to announce the results.
“These students have reached the standard: Marvin Colon, Sam Dalton, Miley Spears… Sierra Cordova.
“The students above are Group One. The rest didn’t reach the standard and are Group Two.”
“Why is Sierra also in Group One? She was slow! I don’t want her to join!” Miley murmured as she looked at Sierra.
Miley couldn’t accept the fact that Sierra had also reached the standard since Sierra was slower.
“Marvin, Sierra also reached the standard.” Sam didn’t want to be in the same group with Sierra.

“So what? It’s a good thing. If we weren’t in the same group, how could I teach her a lesson?” Marvin looked at Sierra with an evil smile.
Abbey hadn’t reached the standard and was assigned to Group Two. She and Sierra had to separate.
“Sierra, I don’t want to separate with you.” Abbey held Sierra’s arm, pursing her lips.
“Do your best in Group Two,” Sierra said to Abbey.
“Wait for me in Group One.” Abbey walked to Group Two, upset.
Soon, everyone who had reached the standard came to Group One.
“Let’s warm up first.” Brandon started to lead everyone warm up in the front.
In the meantime, Group Two also started to warm up with their physical training instructor.
After warming up, Brandon said, “Today, let’s train on running.”
“Sierra, don’t cause trouble for us when you run. If you are tired, just stop and rest. No one will laugh at you.” Marvin was provoking Sierra on purpose.
“Sure. But since you are a boy, don’t rest even if you feel tired. Otherwise, girls will look down on you,” Sierra sneered and retorted.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure all the girls will admire me, especially you!” Marvin smiled confidently.
“OK. Let’s see.”
“Ready, go!” Brandon announced.

Everyone started to run. Marvin sped up right away and exceeded Sierra. Seeing that Sierra was behind him, he was smug
Sierra kept this distance and had no intention of exceeding him.
After two laps, the boys were still holding on, but many girls slowed down.
Marvin glanced sideways and saw that Sierra was still following him, their distance hadn’t changed.
He thought. “The girl I like is not bad. After two laps, she can still follow me. It means she has better stamina than other girls. But it’ll get harder for her during the third lap. I will use the chance to humiliate her.”
When the third lap began, Marvin sped up again, gradually pulling away from the boys behind him.
“Marvin, why didn’t you tell me before you sped up? I was almost left behind…” Sam tried his best to follow Marvin.
“Is Sierra left behind?” Marvin didn’t care what Sam said, only thinking about Sierra.
“Marvin, are you talking about me?” Sierra’s voice sounded next to him.
“Sierra? Why are you…” Marvin hadn’t expected that Sierra could still follow him, startled. Suddenly, he realized that her breath was still steady when he started to gasp!
Marvin had a bad feeling and bit the bullet to speed up again.
During the fourth lap, many boys couldn’t catch up, and there were only a few girls left.
To get rid of Sierra, Marvin kept speeding up. To catch up with him, Sam
and the others were exhausting.
Marvin only wanted to get rid of Sierra, but Sierra was still following him. tightly, looking relaxed
Marvin thought, “Why can Sierra still catch up with me? Fine, let’s see how far you can go!”
Marvin gritted his teeth and sped up again. This time, he pushed himself to his limits, quickly pulling away from everyone behind him. Even Sam couldn’t follow him.
Marvin believed that he also pulled away from Sierra and was relaxed.
“The last lap! Everyone, hang in there!” Brandon shouted through the speaker.
Marvin was running in the very front, feeling proud. He believed he would be the first to reach the finish line.
Thinking of this, Marvin dashed forward with all his might. Sierra started to speed up in the last half lap.
Then, under everyone’s gaze, Sierra shortened her distance from Marvin and almost caught up.
“You! How could you still catch up?” Marvin’s heart sank when he saw Sierra running right next to him.
Marvin thought, “Damn it! Why can’t I get rid of her? She’s a girl, but her stamina is terrible!”
“If you are tired, just stop and rest. No one will laugh at you.”
Sierra used his words to satirize him calmly. She seemed not tired at all, her expression relaxed. But Marvin was exhausted!
“You… Damn it!” Marvin gritted his teeth.
“Bye. Catch me if you can.” Sierra teased him.
With that. Sierra dashed forward, leaving Marvin far behind.
Marvin was shocked. He couldn’t believe that Sierra could still be so fast. She had scary stamina.
Marvin was left behind, trying his best to catch up with her… However, he couldn’t.
He could only watch as Sierra ran further and further.
After the fifth lap, Marvin looked at Sierra, who had arrived at the finish line first, with unwillingness and disbelief in his eyes. At one time, Sierra was left far behind. How did she catch up and exceed him? Did she cheat?
Sierra put down her water bottle and looked at Marvin. “You were slower than a girl. You should train harder.”
“Did you cheat?” Marvin gasped as he sat down with a water bottle in his hand. He eyed Sierra up and down, still couldn’t believe that he was slower than her.
“Cheat? Don’t frame the winner only because you lose,” Sierra retorted. It was such a simple task for her.
“Then why were you faster than me? You’re a girl.” Marvin refused to believe it. He guessed that Sierra had taken some shortcuts.
“If you hadn’t seen any girl faster than you before, it only means you hadn’t seen enough. Today, I showed you the world,” Sierra sneered.
