Chapter 8 Drugged
Together, Arthur and Matthew announced the engagement in the center of the hall, and everyone surrounded Sierra and Fabian, giving them their blessings. Throughout this whole time, Sierra pouted unhappily, yet Fabian politely responded as if the engagement was just another business deal for him.
Finally, they saw off the last pair of guests.
Taking the slot when Karla, Trevon, and Jamal were distracted, Sierra rolled her eyes at Fabian. “Don’t be such a hypocrite. You dislike me, too. Why didn’t you reject the engagement?”
Fabian shot a cold glance at her. “I didn’t hear you say no either.”
“I…” She was at a loss for words.
“You’re as hypocritical as I am,” he said indifferently before walking
away.
“You…” Sierra gritted her teeth angrily, surprised by how sharp–tongued
he was.
Just then, a waiter walked past her. Pissed off, she grabbed a glass of wine and gulped it in one go. In the next second, she realized something was off
She instinctively sniffed the glass and frowned.
She was careless. The wine had been drugged.
Immediately, she turned around to look for the waiter, who was already

nowhere to be seen.
A scorching sensation spread from her throat. Coupled with the scent, she could tell at once it was a rare aphrodisiac.
She knew it’d kick in soon. Not wanting to make a joke of herself in public, she immediately looked towards the direction of the corridor, where the guest rooms were.
Time was pressing; she strode toward the innermost room and pushed the door open to enter.
Leaning against the door, she could feel her breathing becoming erratic already.
“Who would drug me at a party like this? How despicable,” she thought while activating her smartwatch.
In the next second, a holographic screen appeared. Phantom said, “What’s up, my beloved Ms. Cordova? You told me not to come find you yesterday, and you’re contacting me today.”
“It’s an emergency.” Sierra took a deep breath, trying her best not to shout angrily. “Go to Lab 12. get the serum from Cabinet 7, and send it to me via drone. Now.”
Though the aphrodisiac was rare, she had developed an antidote before. She’d be fine as long as she took it.
“Cabinet 7?” Phantom repeated meaningfully. “You keep the antidotes for aphrodisiacs in there, right? Deity, don’t tell me you’re…”
“Are you getting it or now? I have twenty minutes, tops. I’ve got no time
to waste.”
Sensing the urgency in her tone, Phantom became serious. “You aren’t

joking? Alright then. Chill. I’m on it.”
Then he hung up.
The screen disappeared, and her smartwatch dimmed.
Sierra knew she’d soon feel feverish and needed to cool down physically.
As she was about to walk toward the bathroom, she suddenly saw
someone.
Fabian was sitting on the couch.
“You… What are you doing here?”
Fabian stood up slowly and looked at her, his eyes devoid of any emotion.
Immediately, she was extremely nervous.
She thought, “What the heck? With my abilities, I should have sensed his presence in the room.
“But I actually sensed nothing when I came in…
“There’s only one possibility.
“He’s trained.”
Looking at her slightly panicked expression, Fabian walked closer to her step by step. When he was just a step away, he suddenly leaned down and braced his arm against the door behind her.
She was immediately engulfed by his unique cologne. Being trapped between him and the wall, she was panicked.
Was it the drug? It must be. Or why would she feel her face was burning?
“You call me a pervert?” Fabian smiled, adding a touch of evil charm to his face. “I’m your fiancé. We’re gonna get married sooner or later, right?”
As he came closer, Sierra was about to surrender. “Go away!” she said.
loudly.
Then she shoved him away and rushed straight into the bathroom.
She couldn’t take it anymore; she needed a cold shower right now.
To suppress her desires, she turned on the cold water and let it pour over her entire body.
Closing her eyes, she forced herself not to recall what had flashed across
her mind.
Standing at the door to the bathroom, Fabian looked at her, his deepening

eyes
Over the years, countless women stopped at nothing to sleep with him, and some of them had resorted to despicable means.
She was the first one who was drugged and could still resist him.
She actually chose to suffer a cold shower instead of getting intimate with him, an attractive man.
“You’ll catch a cold,” leaning against the doorframe, he reminded her kindly.
Sierra didn’t want to see him at all. She warned him coldly, “You better get out now, or…”
“Or what?” It was the first time Fabian was threatened by a woman, and

his interest was piqued.
Seeing how ignorant he was, she said, her voice hoarse, “Or I swear you’ll regret it.”
She could feel herself losing control.
If he weren’t here, she could have locked herself in here and held out for twenty minutes.
Yet, here he was, his presence torturing her.
“You?” Fabian’s eyes were filled with disdain. Obviously, he didn’t take her seriously at all.
Chapter 9 She Can’t Remember
Sierra was so furious that she even wanted to kick Fabian out.
Just then. someone knocked on the door.
Fabian glanced at Sierra, his eyes deepening. “Seems someone’s here for
you
He walked out before she could grasp his meaning.
Isabella was waiting anxiously outside.
She wanted to see Sierra make a fool of herself after being drugged. To her surprise. Sierra actually went into Fabian’s room.
Worried something might happen between the two, she could only brace herself and knock.
Soon, the door was open. Fabian looked at her, asking coldly, “What?”
Fabian was really inside. Isabella stuttered, “Well… I… I’m looking for
Sierra.”
“Who are you?” He frowned.
Isabella felt both awkward and stunned. Fabian didn’t remember her at
all?
How could that be? Whenever they both showed up at parties, those around them would always talk about their engagement. Everyone had already assumed that she was his future wife. Besides, she had greeted him before. Yet, he actually didn’t remember her?
Suppressing her fury, she said. “Sierra is my sister…..”
Only then did Fabian remember who she was. In the next second, his eyes turned utterly sharp and icy. “Who told you she’s inside?”
Isabella’s heart skipped a beat.
She felt that she was seen through by him, and she couldn’t help but panic.
“A… A waiter saw her coming in…” She instinctively averted her gaze, avoiding eye contact with him.
His eyes were still cold. “Really?”
Pressured by his aura, she actually couldn’t utter a word for a moment.
After remaining silent for a few seconds, he said coldly, “Starting today, Sierra is mine. I won’t tolerate anyone setting her up. If this happens. again, there will be consequences.”
His threat sent a chill down Isabella’s spine.
Sure enough, he knew everything.
The realization made her shiver, and she kept shaking her head. “I… have no idea what you’re talking about…”
Not bothering with her lie, he said coldly, “That’s none of my business. Now, I have things to discuss with my fiancée. Please stay out of our
way.”
With that, he slammed the door shut.
Isabella’s heart sank to the bottom.
