Derrick panel for a moment before speaking. “I know you’ve decided to divorce Erk, but could I ask one thing of you?“!
Abigail quickly replied, “Grandpa, you’re overreacting. If there’s anything you need me to do, just tell me. As long as it’s within my ability, I’ll definitely
“I’d like you to accompany Eric to attend a birthday banquet. Is that alright?” He sighed.
Although he outwardly accepted that she wanted to divorce, he secretly still hoped that she and Eric could reconcile. Of course, he knew that hope was probably a long shot now.
But he still wanted to give lils ungrateful grandson one last chance,
If they could make up at the banquet, that would be great. If they still ended up divorcing, that would be the inevitable conclusion, and he would say nothing more about it
Abigail paused for a moment. She didn’t really want to attend with Eric, but this was Derrick’s repost
“Don’t worry, Grandpa. Ell go with him”
“Good” Derrick was pleased, “Thank you, Ahly. I’ll tell Eric, and he’ll pick you up

Abigail couldn’t help but laugh when she read the message. When she first said she would take a cab, he hung up immediately, but now he claimed to be unavailable and told her to take one instead.
His mood changed as quickly as the weather.
She put her phone away and hailed açab
The birthday banquet was at a fire–star hotel, and she arrived at precisely 6:00 pm.
When she reached the hotel lobby, she saw that the banquet was on the third floor. Just as she was about to head upstairs, she spotted someone
expectedly descending the stairs.
Nicole wore a white dress, her hair elegantly pinned up, and her makeup was carefully done. She looked delicate and graceful
“Ah! Isn’t this Ms. Reed? What are you doing here?” She feigned surprise,
Abigail looked at her expressionlessly. The sparkle in Nicole’s eyes reminded Abigall of the comen that was supposed to be hers. She clenched her fists, gritting her teeth, fighting to control her anger. She didn’t want to engage with Nicole and simply brushed past her
