Chapter 25
A group of people moved toward Abigail to grab her.
Unable to see, she had no idea what was happening, only hearing the cacophony of voices. Terrified, she huddled into herself.
Just as they were about to pull her up, a figure suddenly appeared before her and grabbed the hand that was reaching toward her.
“Ah!” The man cried out in pain, cursing, “Who are you? Let go!”
Ryan sneered, kicking the man away.
The man crashed into a table, knocking over bottles and glasses and scattering them across the floor. The nearby guests jumped up in fear and fled to
void getting caught in the chans.
The bouncers arrived but hesitated upon seeing Gavin and the group of wealthy heirs, unsure whether to intervene.
“Who are you?” Gavin glared at the unexpected troublemaker. “This has nothing to do with you. Get out of the way, or don’t blame me for being rude!”
Ryan looked coldly at Gavin but ignored him, instead crouching down and reaching out to pull Abigail’s shoulders.
Stanlod, Abigail screamed and recolled.
Ryan’s heart ached when he saw her terrified expression and her wet, disheveled appearance. The strong smell of alcohol clung to her.
He spoke pently, “Abigail, it’s me. Don’t be afraid I’m here, and:
no one will bully you.”
“Ryan?” She froge for a moment, then looked up. Her eyes, though clear, were empty, unfocused.
He was stunned. “Abigail, your eyes…!!
Her eyes reddened. She hugged her arms tightly without saying a word.
He took off his coat without hesitation, wrapped it around her, and then supported her shoulders to help her sit on a nearby chair.
“Wait for me,” he said softly. “I’ll take care of some things and then take you out.”
At that moment, Ryan’s voice gave her a sense of security. She nodded, pulling the coat tighter around her.
Gavin frowned at the sight.
“Who are you?” he asked sharply. “What’s your relationship with Abigail? Don’t you know she’s a married woman? How dare you have an affair with Mr. Gomez’s wife!
Ryan’s eyes turned icy as he looked at Gavin. “Did you pour the alcohol on her?”
The accusatory tone made Gavin laugh. He raised his chin provocatively. So what if I did? What? Do you want to teach me a lesson? Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am?”
“Are you a child? Do you need to introduce yourself before a hight? Ryan sneered
Gavin’s face darkened instantly. “What did you say?”
Ryan’s gaze became cold and menacing as he suddenly kicked Gavin. His movement was so fast that neither Gavin nor his entourage had time to react. By the time they did, he had already been sent flying
“Mr. Tucker!”
A group of people rushed forward to lift the disheveled Gavin. He steadied himself, trembling with rege. “You bastard!”
He broke free from their hold and lunged at Ryan,
Although he was usually arrogant, he wasn’t skilled in fighting. His attack was easily dodged, and Ryan even punched him in return.
For the first time, Gavin found himself beaten so severely. “Get him! Who the hell is this?””
The others charged forward.
The sounds of fighting, smashing, and shouting filled the air. Abigall became even more nervous, hugging her arms tightly, shrinking by the bar, silent It was hard to tell how much time passed before the noise finally died.
