Chapter 14
Since the day Grace left the Kaufman Group, she knew that Antonio and Celeste would have today.
But since she had left, she would never go back.
She has been covering everything for him over the years, Antonio has been living too comfortably, it’s time for him to experience some hardships.
During the days without work, Grace’s pace of life slowed down.
She was getting ready to go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients to cook herself a meal when she saw Antonio holding a bouquet of flowers as soon as she stepped out of the door.
“Grace.”
Antonio’s face was filled with a smile as he saw Grace, and he ran up to her, holding the large rose in his arms.
Grace frowned and took two steps back, creating distance between her and Antonio. “Is something wrong?”
For the past five years of their marriage, Antonio, not to mention giving flowers, was even stingy with giving her a smile.
Antonio handed the flower to Grace and said, “Today is our wedding anniversary, did you forget?”

Wedding anniversary?
Grace was a little absent–minded.
It has been five years, and this is the first time I have heard the words “wedding anniversary” from Antonio’s mouth.
In the first year, she prepared a table full of dishes and waited for him to come home for dinner, but he went to a concert with Celeste.
The following year, she bought a cake and wanted to
celebrate with him. He poured a glass of water to extinguish the candles on the cake.
In the third year and fourth year, she no longer expected, and even deliberately tried to forget that day.
Grace glanced at the stunningly beautiful rose in her arms, smirked, and then strode towards the trash bin.
The bright red rose was thrown into the trash can with a loud ‘bang‘.
The smile on Antonio’s face couldn’t hold on anymore:
“Grace!”
Grace hummed lightly, the curve of her lips tinged with a hint of mockery, “Did you forget that we are about to get divorced?”
Antonio frowned, seemingly unable to accept Grace’s transformation for a moment.
In the past five years, he did too many excessive things, and Grace never resisted.

He looked at Grace with a cold gaze, trying his best to suppress the anger in his heart.
“Grace, did we have to go this far?”

Grace looked at him with a smile and said, “Isn’t it all because of you that we have come this far?”
From the day she turned eighteen, she would occasionally fantasize about the days when she would marry Antonio and have children in the future.
But she didn’t expect that a Celeste would come and disrupt her rhythm.
She was well aware that Antonio’s show of affection towards her was not because he loved her deeply, but because she still had some usefulness to him.
Thinking about the mess at the company, Antonio had to soften his tone and said, “Grace, I’ll pretend I never received that divorce agreement. We’ll still be the same as before, I won’t argue with you.”
Grace heard his words and felt like laughing a little.
She felt Antonio so arrogant for the first time.
What makes you think that after you sent me to another
man’s bed, I would just pretend like nothing happened and be with you like before?
“Antonio, even though I owed you, I had already repaid you in full over these five years.”
He still wanted to act as if nothing had happened, just like before. Who is the foolish one, him or her?

Antonio’s face turned grim: “Grace, because of you, Celeste lost her baby and will never be able to have children again in her lifetime. Don’t you feel guilty?”
“You should have made up for it, it is what you owe us!”
“So you mean you want me to be a slave for you and Celeste for the rest of my life?”
Grace looked at Antonio and felt a sense of unfamiliarity.
He was no longer the person she had once known, the one who lit up fireworks for her.
He was selfish and heartless now.
Grace hated herself a little, why did she only realize this so
late.
Antonio looked smugly and said, “You made your own bed, so you have to lie in it.”
She really wanted to pry open Antonio’s mind to see what was inside.
Thinking about having to go home and cook, Grace didn’t want to talk to Antonio about these meaningless things
anymore.
“Sorry, I won’t listen to you and be your servant anymore in the future.”
“Also, please ask Mr. Kaufman to sign the divorce agreement when he is available, so that we can proceed with the divorce procedures.”
