Maggie’s urgent tone made Grace nervous at once.
Suddenly, there was a commotion on the other end of the line as Maggie shouted, “What are you doing? Don’t touch that!”
Grace called out to Maggie a few times but got no response.
She grabbed her coat and rushed to the company.
Then she saw that Maggie was at her office door, shouting anxiously, “Put that down! It’s Ms. Parrish’s stuff!”
Grace walked over and saw several workers carrying her belongings out.
Meanwhile, Celeste was directing them with her hand on her hips, “That one, and that one; get them all out.”
“What do you think you’re doing, Celeste?” Grace walked inside, furious.
Her office was nearly empty.
At the sight of her, Celeste wasn’t flustered at all. “The office has a new owner. Of course, the old stuff gotta be cleared out.”
“A new owner? Says who? I’m on suspension. I didn’t get fired.”
Grace knew Antonio didn’t know anything about managing the company at all.

Celeste smiled contemptuously, “You really think you can come back? Grow up. The company’s stock price has plummeted because of you. Grace, if I were you, I’d compensate the company for the losses and then resign.”
As Grace’s stuff was moving out, new items were brought in.
Putting on a straight face, Celeste said loudly, “Hey, be careful. That’s expensive! If it gets broken, I’ll make sure you pay.”
The administrative director fawned over Celeste, saying, “Congratulations on becoming the new vice president, Ms. Porter. Is there anything else you need? I’ll be on it.”
Glancing around, Celeste was quite happy about her work. “None at present.”
Celeste was the new vice president?
Grace’s head throbbed due to her fury.
Ever since being with Antonio openly, all Celeste cared about was marrying into the Kaufman family as soon as possible; she knew nothing about the business world.
With no experience or capabilities, she became the new vice president. Of course, Grace knew it was Antonio’s doing.
She called Antonio right away. “You’re out of your mind, Antonio! Get to my office now!”
Half an hour later, Antonio walked in at ease.
Seeing him, Celeste walked forward happily. “Antonio, do you like my office?”

Antonio tapped her nose dotingly. “Yes, I do. It’s so lovely. You always have great taste.”
Grace could turn a blind eye to whatever stunt Antonio and Celeste pulled usually.
But now, Antonio tried to please Celeste at the cost of the company, which was too much.
“Antonio, are you trying to ruin the company? She doesn’t have a clue about how things work here. How could she be the vice president?”
Antonio sneered, his eyes filled with disdain, “Are you saying the company can’t survive without you?
“Grace, don’t flatter yourself.”
Indeed, the company could survive without her. But it was also the fact that in the five years she had worked as the vice president here, its profits doubled.
She devoted her time and efforts without any complaints because she didn’t want to fail Antonio’s dad, who had
entrusted her with the company on his deathbed.
She worked her ass off, yet Antonio didn’t take the company seriously at all. He actually named Celeste to be the vice president. The harsh reality suffocated her.
Leaning against Antonio’s arms, Celeste had Antonio backing her up and looked at Grace even more arrogantly. “You’ve

been collecting a fat paycheck by coasting on the title of the vice president.
“In fact, Antonio is the one who has been taking care of everything in the company. Grace, you don’t matter as much as you think.”
Antonio smiled, “It doesn’t matter who’s the vice president. I just wanna see Celeste happy.
“Grace, the company has suffered great losses because of
you.
“You’re fired. From now on, Celeste is the new vice president.
“Get out of the company.”
