A cold and emotionless voice came from diagonally across the aisle.
Guadalupe snapped out of her thoughts.
She turned her head and looked over, meeting Ezequiel’s eyes. Her face flushed.
His sharpness and straightforwardness were like a sharp sword. While she was deep in thought, it pierced at her, knocking her down from the hazy state of mind. An intense wave of shame and embarrassment coursed through Guadalupe.
“I’m sorry. I won’t let it happen again,” she said, lowering her head.
“You’d better remember it,” Ezequiel said coldly and withdrew his gaze.
Guadalupe was extremely awkward.
Gilbert, who was sitting opposite her, felt embarrassed, too. He couldn’t figure out why Ezequiel was so annoyed. Guadalupe had just been a bit distracted, and it wasn’t a major issue.
After all, Guadalupe had just gone through a significant upheaval in her life. How could she be completely unaffected?

Mia was his personal flight attendant on the private jet.
Gilbert stood up, looking confused. “Dessert? You want some?”
He had never known Ezequiel liked desserts.
Ezequiel put down the document, lowered his eyes, and leaned back in his seat. “I can see that you two are having a good chat. It may be better to be served with some desserts during your joyful talk.”

Ezequiel was mocking them for being overly talkative.

Guadalupe and Gilbert left his suite and went back to their own rooms. They were also staying in suites, but theirs were smaller in area.
Guadalupe didn’t even unpack her luggage. She quickly left the hotel and took a taxi to the nearest shopping mall to buy some clothes.

She got back to the hotel around 4:30, took a quick shower, and changed into her professional attire.
At 4:50, she quietly walked into Ezequiel’s suite and hung the suit she had chosen for him in his suitcase.
Then she picked out another set of clothes for him to wear tonight and ironed it.
At five o’clock.
As soon as the alarm clock she had set vibrated, she went to the bedroom to wake him up.
She walked into the bedroom with graceful and leisurely steps. But as soon as she saw the bed, her high heels almost made her lose her balance.
