Chapter 26
Just then, Samuel, Aileen, and Naomi entered the ward,
Seeing the pitiful Kyla. Aileen had mixed feelings. After all, she used to dote on Kyla so much.
Naomi told her and Samuel everything yesterday

Chapter 26-
“We were all wrong…”
She was completely in despair.
Looking at Antonio, she asked. “Where’s Grace? Have you fetched. someone to look for her?”
She slumped to the floor, overwhelmed by regret and pain.
Samuel and Naomi looked equally distressed.
Apparently, they had a sleepless night.
“Grace is my daughter, my own daughter. And I actually drove her away. I can’t even begin to imagine how disappointed she must be in me. She must have hated my guts. When I gave birth to her, I cherished her so much: she meant the world to me. When she went missing. I even wanted to die.
“Why? Why would I do this to her? What kind of mom am I? I don’t deserve to be her mom at all…”
Aileen sobbed uncontrollably.
Samuel held her in silence.
After a long time, he finally spoke.
“Antonio, Naomi and I have used all our connections to look for Grace. know you’re anxious, too, and you’re also looking for her. Please. If you find anything–anything at all, please, let me know, OK? I’m begging you ”
With that, he was about to bow to Antonio.
Antonio stopped him. “Mr. Parrish, looking for Grace is what I should do.”

“Thank you, Antonio. Please let us know if there’s any update. We owe Grace, and we have to make it up to her whether she accepts and forgives. us or not…” Aileen murmured.
This whole time, neither she nor Samuel even shot Kyla a glance.
“Antonio, in our family, those who do wrong must be punished.”
Naomi held Aileen, who was weak all over, and said, her eyes bloodshot.
“Kyla asked for it. She should face the legal consequences”
Finally. Kyla could no longer hold back.
She screamed, “No! Dad, Mom, Naomi, how could you?
“How could you do this to me?
“I’m part of the family, too! My surname is Parrish, too! It’s been over two decades. Don’t you love me at all?
“How could you be so cruel?
“Antonio! Antonio, please. I’m willing to apologize to Grace. I’ll do whatever you want me to do to earn her forgiveness.”
She looked so frantic and pathetic..
She crawled toward Antonio, but the latter stepped back coldly.
Then she tried to grab Samuel and Aileen, who stepped back, too.
Even Aileen, who was usually the most soft–hearted one, didn’t waver
Aileen looked at Kyla, the adopted daughter she had doted on for over twenty years, and her eyes were filled with disappointment.

“Kyla, don’t bother begging. You brought this upon yourself.
“You stole Grace’s life from her and have been enjoying her life for so many years. It’s time to return it to her.
“We won’t indulge you anymore. You must face the consequences of your actions.”
