Pines Hotel was the most mysterious and upscale hotel with exclusive club lounges in Atlanta, accessible only to the wealthy elite with distinguished social standing.
What could he possibly want by asking her to meet him there?
Emelia watched as the man walked away, disappearing around the corner, her brow furrowing once more. Just who was he?
By evening, Emelia returned home to find Justin seated on the sofa, his expression dark and his presence casting a chill over the room.
Emelia glanced at him, her gaze cold and devoid of warmth. Without uttering a word, she walked straight to the stairs.
Before she could reach them, rapid footsteps followed.
Justin caught up and abruptly wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, his grip unyielding. Emelia’s face instantly stiffened, and her muscles tensed up as she instinctively struggled.
Her fingers clawed at his arms, nails turning white from the effort, but Justin only tightened his hold.

you ever consider my feelings?” Emelia’s voice trembled with emotion, her eyes reddening as months of pent–up frustration came pouring out.“Don’t think I didn’t know about you and Samantha. Did you really believe you’ve been so good at hiding it?”
At her accusation, Justin’s grip loosened slightly.
Emelia quickly broke free and took a few steps back, distancing herself from Justin.
